Very welcoming well run hotel, clean good sized room with comfortable bed and pleasant countryside view. Outdoor areas were easily accessible with a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. No issues if you have a family dog with you . Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed the excellent menu and the manner of the food.

Lovely, comfortable hotel. They made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The bar and restaurant food were very good and the service was excellent. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious. The bed was comfortable. No buffet breakfast, thank goodness, there is a breakfast menu which should suit most people.

Hotel and room good with plenty of parking. But restaurant not open and not much alternative locally. Also we had problems because we came in towards end of breakfast service. Sorted OK. But overall not the best.

Lovely hotel very modern decor for a Country House hotel. Staff were all brilliant. Special mention for the chef who we didn't see but produced consistently great food. Our room was in the front of the hotel so there was a bit of noisy, probably tractor, activity around 430am really not a busy road though. The only very slight issue was the water wasn't very hot. There were lots of (well behaved) dogs both staying and using the bar which was great for us but may not suit everyone.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything in the hotel worked as irt should. The food ws good and the bar well organised. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in this area.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kings Head Hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was wonderful. The only problem we had was that the bedroom was so hot. A fan was in the room, but it was impossible to sleep. Would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

A nice hotel, but the plumbing in Room 109 was a bit temperamental. The shower took ages to drain and it wasn’t possible to use the bath because of this slow draining issue. We told Reception who sent maintenance to look at it. The same problem occurred again, so we gave up. Nobody is on Reception after 10pm, so you have to let yourself in at the back door. There was no air conditioning, but a fan was provided. Be aware that Room 109 has some noisy electrical equipment outside, so that’s going to disturb your sleep if you have the window open (due to lack of air conditioning). Room 109 is at the edge of the building, so you’ll hear the traffic going to the car park, the road noise and the noise from the people drinking outside. There is no fridge in the room, so the bottled water was warm. Ice was provided when we asked, but it melted quickly as the room was so hot. A comfortable, good sized bed and, apart from all the points above, an otherwise comfortable stay. No decent vegan options on the menu. The avocado for breakfast has seen better days. Portions were small for the price paid (even though breakfast was included).

This hotel doesn’t disappoint. The staff are not just efficient and friendly but happy doing their jobs, whatever they do. That reflects back onto the experience of staying here. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and so comfortable. The restaurant is well organised with plenty of menu choice including vegetarian food. Breakfast is from a menu and individually prepared, thank goodness there’s no buffet. We felt quite spoilt with the attention we received. This is our second stay in this hotel and we will definitely return.

Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed and everything we needed. Good to have a sofa and an armchair. Friendly young man on reception when we arrived. However, breakfast was not great. Limited staff who seemed stressed and unable to cope.

This was an amazing hotel with service from the owners second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Food was excellent, wonderful chef. We felt thoroughly spoiled, by all staff. It was lovely to come back to after a day out.

The Food was of a good standard, the premises were very clean, and Joseph the barman/ waiter was charming. But we felt this was only an illusion of an hotel, there was no soul to it.The restaurant didn't open for lunch or dinner on the Monday that we stayed. We were assured that we would be able to get a drink in the bar after going out for Dinner, but on our return the hotel was in darkness and the bar locked up, this was only 9.30pm On both nights we stayed the fire alarms were triggered, and we had to wait at least 30 minutes for someone to come and turn them off. I thought it a very inhospitable experience

Our stay got off to a great start with the lovely receptionist taking us to our room with a bottle of iced water which was most welcome after a long drive. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with all the amenities we would expect. Dinner was superb. The wait staff were extremely polite and helpful. The bed was super comfy and the next morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with every need catered for by the lovely hosts. Would certainly recommend and go back for another stay.

There was no hot water for our last 3 days & no heating. Appreciate things break down but no communication. So no showers and cold in our room but nothing done to help even though we told manager. Very welcoming well run hotel, clean good sized room with comfortable bed and pleasant countryside view. Outdoor areas were easily accessible with a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. No issues if you have a family dog with you . Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed the excellent menu and the manner of the food.

So happy with my stay. Beautiful hotel in gorgeous surroundings. Staff were fantastic and extremely professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was outstanding as was the choice.

It is very close to Sandringham which is why we chose to stay there but the nearest restaurant is a distance away so we ended up eating in the hotel’s restaurant each evening. Everything else was good

Staff, food excellent. Great location for visiting Sandringham . Only disappointment was the overhead shower, having reported no hot water , although the attachment hose worked , Got told someone would look at it . No correspondence from the hotel management to the outcome . Next day overhead shower still no hot water . Shame it spoit the experience of staying at the Kings head .

A wonderful stay, friendly staff, comfortable clean room with very large bed. Amazing breakfasts and evening food. Safe parking and lovely location. Only minor issue was it was advertised on Expedia as separate shower and bath when in fact it was shower over bath. Thank you for looking after us.

Hotel and room good with plenty of parking. But restaurant not open and not much alternative locally. Also we had problems because we came in towards end of breakfast service. Sorted OK. But overall not the best.

Lovely, comfortable hotel. They made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The bar and restaurant food were very good and the service was excellent. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious. The bed was comfortable. No buffet breakfast, thank goodness, there is a breakfast menu which should suit most people.

A hotel with so much character, which has been modernised to provide a great experience. Staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Great range of breakfast and dinner menu supported by a wide range of drinks. 100% recommend this hotel if you decide to visit Norfolk.

Not your average country pub hotel, quite modern, very clean. Good breakfast menu, tasty food but unfortunately lunch and dining not available during our visit due to loss of the chef and staff shortages. Nevertheless, there are easily accessible restaurants around, and a nice stay all in all.

The Food was of a good standard, the premises were very clean, and Joseph the barman/ waiter was charming. But we felt this was only an illusion of an hotel, there was no soul to it.The restaurant didn't open for lunch or dinner on the Monday that we stayed. We were assured that we would be able to get a drink in the bar after going out for Dinner, but on our return the hotel was in darkness and the bar locked up, this was only 9.30pm On both nights we stayed the fire alarms were triggered, and we had to wait at least 30 minutes for someone to come and turn them off. I thought it a very inhospitable experience

This is the second time I've been with my other half and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The customer service is beyond reproach and there's a friendliness to the staff that is much appreciated. The Cementing meal that I had was wonderful. I had pigeon breast followed by halibut and then cheese board. Also had a nice bottle of Charlie's a glad of port. I'm hoping to make this an annual trip

We had a wonderful stay at the Kings Head Hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was wonderful. The only problem we had was that the bedroom was so hot. A fan was in the room, but it was impossible to sleep. Would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

A nice hotel, but the plumbing in Room 109 was a bit temperamental. The shower took ages to drain and it wasn’t possible to use the bath because of this slow draining issue. We told Reception who sent maintenance to look at it. The same problem occurred again, so we gave up. Nobody is on Reception after 10pm, so you have to let yourself in at the back door. There was no air conditioning, but a fan was provided. Be aware that Room 109 has some noisy electrical equipment outside, so that’s going to disturb your sleep if you have the window open (due to lack of air conditioning). Room 109 is at the edge of the building, so you’ll hear the traffic going to the car park, the road noise and the noise from the people drinking outside. There is no fridge in the room, so the bottled water was warm. Ice was provided when we asked, but it melted quickly as the room was so hot. A comfortable, good sized bed and, apart from all the points above, an otherwise comfortable stay. No decent vegan options on the menu. The avocado for breakfast has seen better days. Portions were small for the price paid (even though breakfast was included).

Can’t speak highly enough of the staff who look after the guests this hotel. We had a lovely 2 night stay, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very keen to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The food was very good too. Very highly recommended.

Absolutely faultless from start to finish We had such a warm welcome on arrival and every member of staff was delightful and super friendly and helpful. Food was amazing - bar area served delicious drinks. Hotel and our rooms were absolutely spotless. Luxurious towels as well. This is a well run hotel and we can totally recommend this for a fabulous, restful stay. This was our second visit and we will definitely be returning.

Very comfortable large room overlooking the courtyard. We had air con so that was fantastic though I know that is not available in all the bedrooms. Clean nicely decorated bedroom and large bathroom with plenty of space for toiletries etc. The staff always went above and beyond to offer their services. Always friendly and chatty. Beautifully presented freshly cooked breakfast. The meals in the evening were large and extremely satisfying and varied. Desserts were wonderful. There is obviously a very accomplished chef. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here or just an evening meal. Hope to come back again sometime
