Stayed 1 night

We arrived early but told our room wasn't ready, we came back for 3 and it was 4.10 before we got in our appointment. Great set up only problem you have to go downstairs to the bathroom for water for the kettle. Not easy either, taps for cold and hot but we managed. A few hairs and fluff about, not what we expected after such a wait. Drinks were offered while waiting. Staff were amazing very friendly and helpful but, wasn't sure why we waited so long from 1.45 till 4.10 seemed a long time.

Stayed 4 nights

The meals were excellent both for quality and price, staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable however the windows did not close entirely. It was quite warm so not a major problem for us but the windows needed refurbishment so they be opened or closed easily. The electric shower was very weak. These issues were relatively minor given the pluses of staff, food and comfortable beds

You have to walk on the road to get to reception from the car park as there was a sign saying staff only from the covered area to the bar . check in is at the bar ,no dedicated reception . The room we were allocated was not the room booked on the web site but it was only one night so not worth bothering about ,however the bathroom door needs attention as my wife was unable to close it until I told her how to do it ( I am a joiner and the hinges need the screws tightened up but this Will be difficult as the door does not open fully ),the television is a pain as it’s freesat and it was difficult to get a station that was suitable .
