Clean and tidy within budget. Found it to be having good service and nice rooms. Location is great with great parking availability for free.

Really nice and pleasant stay, staff are lovely, food is great, room is lovely, and a nice friendly lounge pub environment when you want to socialise a bit or feel less of a solo traveller, is an added extra. I really recommend this hotel for people who like people and enjoy a cozy atmosphere

My room was very clean, tea and coffee facilities and lovely clean towels , the shower was hot I only went to breakfast the once due work commitments but for a continental breakfast there was plenty , the coffee was delicious , no noise from the pub under the rooms would definitely return and recommend.

Very nice room and staff. The pub is very quiet and the food is good especially the burger, first class!

Bit tired but very friendly staff. Lovely gardens. Good continental breakfast selection. Area could be more disabled friendly. We had problems getting my husbands mobility scooter up and down kerbs but that is not the fault of the hotel.

We booked a one night stay as we were travelling to a festival and didn't want to do a three and a half hour drive then pitch a tent. We arrived a little before 8 I believe. We went in to the bar, checked in and then ordered food. The bar was lovely, modern, great food friendly service. (Food service closed earlier than the 9pm advertised so we had to order immediately on arrival.) We booked a twin with shared bathroom, I wouldn't normally book a shared bathroom, but all the pictured indicated that they were modern, well decorated verging on luxurious looking and the rooms looked cosy and welcoming. I was quickly left realising I couldn't be more wrong. Nobody told us where the shared bathrooms were and there was absolutely no information in the room about....well....anything at all. So had to go back down to the bar to ask. The room was really quite bare and felt austere, quite aged looking It had a picture behind the beds and a couple of mirrors but that was it and it was soulless. The curtains looked thin and to be honest I was afraid to close them for fear of breaking them...not that they'd have blocked any light out. There was a kettle and tea/coffee and mugs, there were no glasses for water though, couldn't see a hairdryer or other "extras". A new soap by the sink and a small hand towel size towel provided for two plus one by the sink. One shower was put of order, other two and W/C were littered and not clean. TV only had BBC1 Bed was terrible, springs and no padding

For an overnight stay, The Raven was ideal. It was clean, comfortable and pleasant.

Room was a double room! Very dated! Not the cleanest either, couple huge cobwebs in the corners, back of TV dusty and didn't work! One over bed light didn't work! Bathrooms was communal shared half way down a landing which we knew and ok with! However the showers wasn't clean so didn't use them, the bed was clean and not to bad comfort wise I like a hard mattress, the bedroom area was along a long corridor looked gloomy carpets worn, the breakfast was ok toast jams couple pastry's cereal drinks cheese ham, no pics on wall in rooms etc sink in room didn't feel welcoming at all.

The only slight drawback was that the room had a shared bathroom. I know this when we booked - and as the only room left we had to go with it. But after a night of feeling unwell (nothing to do with the food at the hotel) the shared bathroom experience was a minor issue. Probably more so for the other guests. The staff were excellent, helpful & attentive.

A lovely clean venue with attentive staff. Only downside for us our room was not an en suite. We're of the age we times have to get up thru the night..lol Quiz was good fun. Drinks not too expensive

The room was cold and very dated. Only worked out after a while that the radiator was working. Two wall lights over the bed were not working and this would have made all the difference to the room rather than a stark overhead light. The staff were extremely nice and helpful.

The interconnecting doors let’s all the noise through so you can hear the next rooms conversation All the doors creek and bang The lukewarm tap and the cold tap are incorrectly identified in the room

Ok Hotel for the money. I dont know if they had some issues with the water, but there was hardly any Wien water in the showers.

I can’t praise this hotel enough very friendly and accommodating I had a funeral so they let me check in early and the staff could not be more helpful

Everything was excellent apart from the wifi not working in my room. The staff member tried to rectify the problem but without success. I was able to access the wifi in the bar/dining area. I will be booking again in the near future

For the price you pay, you get everything you need. It's definitely at the budget end, obviously, but clean and the staff go above and beyond to be helpful
