Pet friendly, and a games room in a quiet location, extremely affordable, friendly staff.

Very convenient stop off the A1 for the night. Night and day staff were great and helpful. I travelled with 2 well behaved dogs who slept on their own bedding but only niggle was the stale smell in the room. As it was on ground floor I wasn't happy leaving windows open overnight to air the room. This would not stop me from staying there again.

Property is easily accessed off of the Southbound A1. There is a fuel station next door and an Indian restaurant, although I did not use either. The property was fairly clean with a bar and a continental breakfast. The staff were friendly. The room wasn't in pristine condition but perfectly fine and clean. I'm a big lad and I did find the shower a tad small. I would definitely stay there again.

Easy, ample parking, with a curry restaurant and fuel stop adjacent. Rooms very clean with comfy bed - mattress not dished one side (!). Great tv channels. I appreciate the onsite bar and games room, great to eat with company. Generous breakfast included. Pleasant little garden with seating too.

It was easy to find and our receptionist was very cheerful and helpful. The free breakfast, (continental style, but with toast ) was excellent and plentiful. The room was neat and tidy and very good value. Car parking was within very easy reach of reception and plenty of it. There was only one blot on the horizon, and that was the fact that we were kept awake by loud music from the bar on the first night of our stay. At 2.30 in the morning my wife phone the reception to complain ,only to have the phone put down on her. It took a visit to reception to stop the music which was entertaining late night drinkers in the bar. This was reported to the receptionist in the morning. This spoilt an otherwise very pleasant stay.

Perfectly reasonable start for a night just off the A1. Great benefit was being able to bring the dogs in the room, which was great.

Easy access and ample parking spaces. Don’t think there was a lift, but only one and a bit flights of stairs to negotiate to first floor. Staff I encountered were all friendly and helpful. Room was quite spacious and bed was comfortable, but en suite would benefit from a bit of a tidy up, overall it was fine. The breakfast was basic cereal, toast and croissants, with tea, coffee, and orange juice available, but was a good start to the day, and was included in room rate.

Even though this property was tired, a bit old and not luxurious! The staff were excellent, the rooms were very clean, everything you needed was in the room, shower was small but powerful and hot, beds clean n comfy, furniture although old was not broken at all, breakfast was a good range of cereal, toast, jams, orange juice and hot drinks but free, WiFi was free, parking was free, and all for £48 booked it 2 days before!! this is the perfect place to stay on the A1! i only gave it less than 5 star since its not that I don't like this place, it's a good stop over, not a holiday destination! Only thing i would say is that my google maps didnt take me to the right place - the link from Expedia . the staff are great, its a 24 hour desk so you can arrive anytime of the night, so for me, travelling to and from Stansted its ideal layover

The quality of accommodation was adequate and for price was good value. Hotel car parking was excellent and in general terms the hotel facilities were okay. The reception staff were really helpful and friendly. For me the main downside was the shower cubicle which lacked cleanliness evident due to a plentiful supply of black mould also the water pressure was too low for a refreshing shower that said the Hotel was okay and good value for money.

Room had an unpleasent smell. Our room was at the back of the hotel with lots of foliage and fields which lead to grass hoppers and other insects coming in through window. We had to keep the windows closed and put the fan on which created the smell of the room through the night to get worse. Pillows were wafer thin. Toilet didnt flush properly and the shower had no happy medium, it was either freezing or scalding regardless of the angle it was positioned in.

Ideal stopover location. Quick check in and bonus was the early breakfast. Clean and comfortable room - will stay again.

Very comfortable stay with the added bonus of a buffet breakfast included in the very competitive price. All in all couldn't fault thr place.

The rooms were old and dated. Had been cleaned. Smelt of bleach. Stains on carpet. Ok for one night, I wouldn't want my children their. Breakfast offering is just serials - nothing else in the area either.

The pictures on the website were not of the property ? We did not get the room we booked on line. The room smelt strange, like wet dog or old food. Underwhelming stay.

Mouldy shower. No wifi in room, only available near reception. Cobwebs on ceiling in bedroom. Overall not a good experience.

Great value for money. Basic hotel. Décor & amenities are dated with signs of needing a revamp. Shower wasn’t great but did the job. This hotel is very clean. It has comfy clean beds. Black out curtains. The fan were a welcome addition as it was 31 degrees when we stayed. The staff were all nice. The outside space was a nice bonus too. We sat outside in the evening as it was great weather. Outside area kept nice clean & tidy. Great base to explore Cambridgeshire from. Gorgeous view from our window. Thank you.

Good value for budget hotel with adequate continental breakfast, pleasant staff, all well organised to our requirements. Room clean and renovated to good standard, quiet environment and no problems. Have used a number of times and will come back again.

Had lovely room, bed was very comfortable. Wifi worked. Bathroom small but practical. Water pressure was good

We were given the worst room in the building. Right at the top of the stairs. Every time people came in or out the door would bang, theyd be struggling with suitcases etc. The room was incredibly hot, a fan was provided, it was very noisy. We opened the window and there were people below just talking at the top of their voices. The room at the top of the stairs is also above the entrance. Then they decided to evict someone from the premises who spent a good 10 minutes screaming her head off. Glad it was only one night. We will never stay there again.

Clean room and bathroom. Comfy bed. Although very noisy plumbing gron above especially in middle of the night.

Very budget basic hotel. Taps and shower very noisy bed was lumpy cracks in walls landing had strong cigarette smoke smell cracks in walls telly didn’t work and they couldn’t fix it and breakfast was only toast or cereal Good points- staff was helpful putting on big telly in games room & location was good

Very similar to a Travelodge. Basic but very affordable

Room was okay. No hand held shower or wifi availability first floor at the end of the hall which was disappointing.

Clean room but the toilet is small and the shower not very efficient

Very reasonable price, surprisingly big standard double room with a work desk & chair and big bed. Everything clean. Good shower. Noise level was fine, everything was silent by midnight. Bed was pretty hard but that's better than getting poked by springs I guess! Didn't stay for breakfast but it's just toast/cereal. Can't complain for the price though. 24hr staffed front desk. Would stay again if I had a need in the area.

Particularly like this venue as they allow more than 2 dogs & also gave me a ground floor room as requested. The staff were friendly & arranged that I could have early breakfast as I needed to be away .

I required a very late check-in and a very early check-out. The staff were fantastic in accommodating this and even put on an early (5am) breakfast for me! Although the room felt a little dated, I got a great night's sleep and have no complaints.

As always...staff are accommodating and friendly.....I always recommend Redwings to new colleagues working in Hinchingbrooke Endoscopy Unit Hospital.

Friendly staff and welcoming.

I arrived at 10.40pm. On entering the reception and giving my name I was told "You already checked in!" In quite a rude tone. Turned out she had seen someone else coming in with a dog and assumed it was me and gave them my room. She told me to wait until 11pm until someone else comes in to sort this which was a bit of shock. I had spent hours on the road and I st wanted to get to bed. While I waited, I returned to my car to get some water for my dog. Being flustered I left the car key in the boot with all the doors locked. I felt panic and went back to reception. As I entered, receptionist snapped that it wasn't 11pm yet! I said I locked my keys in the car and if she could help me please to get a number for a locksmith. She coldly replied that she didn't have a locksmith there and that she cannot help. I went outside as I felt panic attack coming on. When I went back in crying she asked me if I was ok. I said if course not as she wasn't being very helpful to which she snapped back again repeating what I said pretending to be surprised. The following morning I checked out just before 11am and waited outside for help to arrive. Around 11.30am I needed to use bathroom. I entered hotel where I was informed I cannot use bathroom if I don't have a room. I'm not too bothered by the state of the hotel, the dirty sink or poor breakfast. The lack of humanity I experienced was appalling.

Very pleasent site in countryside so no road traffic noise. Seriously comfy bed and desk with chair which is always helpfull. Spacious room too. Bonus of bar onsite and excellent curry house 100m away. Very reasonable rates here too.

Brilliant place for a stopover! Surprisingly pleasant. Breakfast no frills but just what you need.

The staff at the hotel make it. The rooms are very basic. The showers dont work well at all, and this stay the water was cold by the time I took a shower. The hotel is clean, and there are a couple of areas to chill out in that are friendly and nice to get out of your room. The free breakfast is ok, but no fruit, yoghurt etc, you get a cereal selection, toast and individual wrapped croissants, tea, coffee, juice. It's perfect for work or if you need a budget, no frills room. I stay here once a month for work, its clean, a great location and the staff are amazing.

Excellent breakfast

From start to finish the stay was brilliant staff were friendly, check in was smooth. Room was adequate with a nice shower. Breakfast was varied and plentiful OK you get a basic cereals and toast breakfast but they don't charge the earth. All in all a great place to stay on a budget.
