Long weekend break. Hotel is an old Inn well situated on Newmarket high Street. Rooms recently refurbished to a good standard and very helpful staff. Part of pub chain and 20% discount on food for guests. No lift and big flight of stairs to negotiate to access rooms.

I was really sceptical at first because when we arrived the pub was really noisy but we had been told the venue was lively. I went to use the toilet in the bar while waiting for the key to our room and none of the hot taps worked in the ladies. We also had to wait about 10 minutes to get a key from the busy bar staff. However, the room was clean, the bed really comfortable and the bathroom was nice with lovely towels. The hotel was in a good location for what we needed and a lovely receptionist in the morning to check us out. We also benefitted from free parking which was not available at other local hotels.

Free parking included with the stay, the room was clean with tea/coffee and a kettle. Would stay here again, very convenient for the horse racing. The bar area does get very busy with a good atmosphere, my only small negative is that the you can hear and feel the music in your room until approx 12:30 am.

Excellent budget option with handy onsite parking. Staff really friendly. Happily changed our room as the shower was faulty. Second room was lovely given price. Communal hallways a bit out of date but rooms and other parts were perfect. Would definitely repeat. Very good location for restaurants etc and racecourse.

It is conveniently placed for all the attractions that Newmarket has. The room was clean the staff very helpful. The only downside was the stairs as our room was on the second floor and I have mobility problems but I done it and got quicker in the three days we stayed.

Nice big car park just off the high street with parking included in the stay, check in desk at the back of the building just off the car park which was neat and easy, room was well appointed clean and comfortable. Pub downstairs with food and drink (although just as expensive as everywhere seems to be these days with £5.50-£6 ish pints). Got stuck in the car park for 20 mins or so on my out whilst they got a beer delivery and the truck blocked the only route out of the car park but I imagine that would be a rare occurrence and it was a lovely sunny day and me in no rush it didn't matter.

The staff here is truly wonderful! As there is no elevator, they helped us to take our bags upstairs to our rooms. I was working a good portion of our trip and the wifi here was great. The employees offered suggestions on places we could walk to visit in the town and made sure to let us know if the pub kitchen was closing in case we wanted to order.

Rooms very clean , an spacious , food in resturant was also good . Hotel more for couples or friends going out for the evening . As can be at abit noisey in the evening , but that didnt bother me and my friend as we didnt get back til late 😁

Good bedding and comfortable bed , nice modern bathroom . Good bar restaurant area downstairs. Down sides are the rooms are very small but fine for a 1 night stayover . Rooms very badly need a paint and tidy up as very scuffed and worn but clean and had everything needed for a night .

The food and staff were excellent. The beds were very comfortable but the rooms themselves need a bit of tlc. Looking very tired especially the windows. The only other thing was the music. Thursday and Friday night, it wasn't actually music but a thud thud continuously not singing on it at all. Not too loud but noticeable in our room. But Saturday night it was horrendous, it was still thud thud but at least there was some singing on it but it was so loud. Really all you could hear was this thud thud thus beat. Okay it stopped at midnight but then people were outside the hotel until 12.45, talking, laughing and swearing and we were just above them. Music you can get off to sleep with but not this thud thud thus beat.

Marston's itself was excellent.surperb food and great satisfying breakfast. The hotel rooms were small and a bit dated and requires refurb. Can be very hot and music plays until midnight. However we did enjoy our stay and would return.

We had a lovely stay in the White Hart Hotel, the manager that greeted us was lovely, he was very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed and during the night he was very accomodating to us, we didnt get his name but he seemed like the manager and had long-ish hair!

Our room was on the 2nd floor told we were last to arrive this was only at 5pm! It was a long walk with a lot of stairs. A man did carry our suitcase up & down in the morning. The room was extremely hot, not air conditioned as quoted on the website. Unable to open the windows as there was a large desk in front of it! There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke coming from other rooms. No non smoking sign in our room 16. Room needs a total update/refurbishment. The furniture didn’t match & was so old fashioned well used! The shower cubicle had mould & was tiny with no soap dish etc. we were pressured three times to pay for dinner within an hour of arrival so decided to eat elsewhere. Also told they didn’t have a member of staff for breakfast as we would be the only one’s eating there. He didn’t want to bring the chef in for 2 people & wanted us to decide on arrival. He was friendly but demanding too!

One of the best nights sleep I’ve had In a long time. I did go with 4 outher people and two of them said they were up all night because of noise however I was on the other side of the hotel so heard nothing. Nothing but the upmost respect for the manager who gave us all free breakfast even though only two of us had experienced and issue with people arguing which in fact wasn’t on the hotel premises so he didn’t have to do that very professional and I’m due back up there soon and will be booking again

On the positive side the bedding, towels etc were decent quality and well laundered. Hotel has a free car park but remember to register your number plate. Overall it was ok for a one night stay but at some point my room would need a refurbishment. Breakfast was reasonably priced and staff were helpful.
