Okay for one night while away on business. Rooms are tired and company could do with giving the place a refresh but staff are good.

The White hart is a listed building built around 1617s. It has the charm and oddities of a very old building. We have stayed several times and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Location in the town centre and free parking. Perfect. Meals are of a high standard and breakfast excellent. Free wifi throughout the building and staff are very helpful. Our first option is the White Hart when visiting the area. One comment though, the carpet around the hot drinks area could do with an oil change, lol.

Frankly, it’s one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed, and the conditions are completely unacceptable. A few of the main issues: Cleanliness: The toilet was dirty, and the kettle was left full of limescale and old water, condiment tray hasn't been replenished, dust everywhere, dirt under the bed etc. Safety hazard: The fans are broken and won't stay upright. Worse, one of them has no protective cover, leaving the blades completely exposed, which is really unsafe. If I’d known the room was in this state, I never would have booked it. Because of this, I’m asking for a full refund. I’m happy to send over photos and details if you need them. The only bderight spot has been Daisy, who has been doing everything she can to help and provide great service despite the mess. I’d appreciate a quick reply on how you plan to handle this refund.
