Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort

This is a beautiful hotel, although in some places, it could do with some refurbishment. The staff are excellent, very helpful and the pool service was very efficient. We enjoyed the complementary shuttle service to the Marina every night, although it would have been nice if the last bus back had been after 9pm. Highly recommend this hotel.

Bel hôtel, très bon petit déjeuner, avec accès spa (payant sauf si vous avez une suite), restaurants au bord de piscine assez chers pour la qualité proposée. les serveurs sont très sympathiques. Les autres restaurants sont plutôt bons. L’hôtel est un peu loin de tout sans accès au golf (entreprise non affiliée à l’hôtel). Piscines assez petites pour la quantité de monde présents.

Enjoyed the area around the adults only pool. Chilled atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff. Lots of loungers.

Complimentry shuttle bus to Marina, bikes and tennis court were a bonus

Pleasant hotel, particularly if the weather is good and sun bathing is your goal. In poor weather, problems arise as the indoor pool is chargeable at €25 p.p./ hr. The outdoor pool is heated. A car could be regarded as a must have to get out and about as the hotel is 3 miles out of town. Shuttle bus runs into Vilamoura 3 times per day A few minor maintenance issues with the room. Breakfasts were very good and the Rio restaurant excellent. Staff very efficient and welcoming. Overall we enjoyed our 4 nights there.

Great location for the Vilamoura golf courses. Hotel staff were excellent throughout. One small thing to watch is that the complimentary shuttle to and from the course at Millenium is only available up to a certain time of evening (check before you go as we nearly missed it).

This was a nice quiet hotel about 12 mins away from the marina. No one was fighting for sun beds, the bars and restaurants were all very pleasant. Great choices of pools. I think I would go back.

firstly what a fantastic hotel - stayed for 2 weeks and had a very relaxing break and stay - staff very friendly and helpful, with the Botanic bar a personal favourite BUT disappointingly it is NOT a golf resort (private members only) as we were politely ushered out of the clubhouse when enquiring about tee times 😢 but still a good spot for the other vilamoura course - overall a great stay but would have been nicer to play golf ⛳️

Governanca de pessima qualidade. Falta dev reposição de toalhas. Suite suja, Chuveiro entupido. Servico de manutencao deixou o serviço incompleto. Necessitei chamar o diretor do Hotel para mostrar as fotos da suite e do serviço inacabado. Lançaram despesa que nao era de ninha suite e nem ao menos verifivaram o nome e a assinatura diversa. Um verdadeiro transtorno. Inaceitavel.

Beautiful resort with a very calming vibe. It’s very big but never felt like there were lots of people around or overcrowded. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Large variety of options at breakfast. The only issue we faced is that it’s quite far away from anything, the nearest shop for amenities is a 25 minute walk away, and you need to get taxis everywhere as there isn’t anything in walking distance or any local transport options, although the resort offers free drop off/pick up at the Marina 3 times per day. Would highly recommend for a relaxing and luxurious break.

The Anantara Vilamoura was such a fantastic beautiful hotel. The staff there were incredible, attentive and could not of made us feel more special or looked after. I cannot speak higher of every staff member, the food, the cleanliness, the rooms and the hotel as a whole. Cannot wait to come back next year. Thank you again

Nuestra cuarta vez en este hotel, que siempre nos ha gustado, por la tranquilidad de su localización y del hotel. Las habitaciones son grandes ( como se ven en las fotos) y cómodas. Los espacios comunes espaciosos. En esta ocasión hay 2 comentarios algo negativos: las hamacas necesitan un cambio ( muchas de ellas rotas/sucias) y las cortinas de la habitación también necesitaban una limpieza .

The Anatara Vilamoura falls significantly short of its purported 5-star status. The disparity between the advertised luxury and the actual condition of the property is evident in many aspects. Coupled with inconsistent and inadequate service, this makes for a disappointing guest experience that does not justify this price point, particularly as a family. The property exhibits clear signs of wear and tear, with poorly maintained hallways, stained or strained furniture, and damaged fixtures. The cleanliness of guest rooms was inconsistent, and the overall ambience is removed from the luxury typically associated with a 5-star establishment. The presence of a construction right next door does not help the situation, as no extra effort seems to be made to clean the red dust from the balconies or chairs. Service levels are consistently unsatisfactory. Poolside attentiveness at the family pool is lacking, forcing guests to actively seek service rather than receiving proactive care. (to be fair to the staff present: there were just too few to cover the whole family pool area and do the towel service and man the pool restaurant, this is a management issue). On the plus side: The family pool is quite warm in temperature which is comfortable for children. There are enough chairs and umbrellas. The hotel's overall management appears lacking. There was no opportunity to provide feedback upon checkout, and the overall guest experience suggests a lack of attention to detail.

Not really 5 star service. Room abit tired furniture chipped and one bedside table extremely damaged in top. Lounge furniture looked dirty. And swim up pool an exaggeration. This is a narrow strip of water. Hotel photos misleading. Lead you to believe there is a large lounging bed and plants but there wasn’t. Just two uncomfortable plain loungers. Room service took 3 attempts to get a basic pizza order right. Housekeeping did not replenish tea and coffee and supposed complimentary water. Overall I was very disappointed compared to other 5 star experiences. Pool staff are the best compliment I can pay - very attentive for drinks and towels. I wouldn’t recommend nor return.

The breakfast egg server was very unhelpful U would think poaching an egg would be easy. It seems u take what you are given My room was ground floor and had no view On the whole the hotel is great and reception and front of house staff fantastic

Excellent complimentary yoga session. Walk-in wardrobe was excellent although the door was difficult to open.

The air-conditioning was very hot, and i have to ask daily for adding Nespresso capsules, Bottle of water, Tea cups, And the room service always get me wrong food order

Rooms were enormous, beautiful, comfortable. Fabulous with families. One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in for a long time. Great variety at breakfast and staff all went above and beyond.

Hotel was great. Friendly staff, top class breakfast and comfortable rooms. So many great small touches. Felt extremely welcome from the second we arrived. We will be back!

The guest services gentleman could not have been more helpful. He helped navigate us to wonderful destinations and travel shuttles with ease. Truly an asset to the resort.

I have stayed in several hotels and this is probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in. The staff are excellent especially those in the restaurants and the reception staff. I even met the manager who was lovely. I plan to return sooner rather than later. There is also a free shuttle that takes you to the Marina and brings you back. All the staff were friendly and were always smiling. They are a credit to an absolutely fantastic hotel. I can't wait to go back.

Everything about this hotel is 5*, from the minute we arrived. The staff are amazing and the hotel should be extremely proud of how great their team is.

Outstanding hotel, super friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Very accommodating of all our various needs and changes to the plan. Excellent breakfast and pool meals. Would go again on a flash!

Excellent all round hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the Marina which is really handy, allowing you to explore every night, if you want. Only downside is it finishes at 9pm, a bit early really. I will definitely be returning if th welcome and cleanliness and buffet breakfast is always as good!

The holiday was amazing. Perfect for solo trip, in November I can guarantee. The hotel was amazing and the staff were immaculate. Always checked up on me and gave me perfect service services and information.

Excellent hotel away from the busy Vilamoura Marina, great facilities, the staff are very helpful, enjoyed eating at the Ria Restaurant. Will definitely go back to the Victoria Hotel.

The area was very beautiful and tranquil, the resort was first class, staff were all friendly and very accommodating, always eager to help. They had free shuttle rides into the Marina and back which was so convenient, with lots of activities on offer. Beaches, shopping malls and supermarkets nearby and a lot of other nearby towns to visit. I definitely will be going back and will recommend it to my friends.

A very nice hotel with high level of service. What really stands out here is the top notch restaurant down by the hotel. It’s truly amazing. A mix of steaks and seafood, and traditional Portuguese as well as different European courses. Highly recommended.

Der Service, Ausstattung vom Zimmer und Aussenbereich sind einfach hammer. Vor allem der Service der Mitarbeiter an der Reception und joao vom Frühstücksbuffet waren exzellent. Das einzige was zu bemängeln war, war der Service der Mitarbeiter im Restaurant Sensai. Das Essen im gesamten Hotel war ausserordentlich gut, jedoch wirkte nur das Personal vom Sensai Restaurant desinteressiert, unfreundlich und unaufmerksam. Jedoch nach unserem persönlichen Feedback an die Hotelmanagerin, fühlten wir uns ernst genommen und uns eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit offeriert. Somit sind wir vollstens von der Qualität dieses Hotels überzogen und können es nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Unfortunately we were only there for one night but back in June . Staff and hotel all excellent we didn’t want to leave , breakfast was very good with so much choice and all yummy , we ate the food in the evening at the Bar and it was excellent very large portions delicious also a good wine selection would definitely recommend this hotel .

Nice hotel. Reading light in bed is missing. Breakfast is very good. Drinks are overpriced and poor quality. Free valet parking is a nice option. Over all we where happy about the hotel.
