Now £10 to park overnight - new charge brought in after point of booking but they would not budge on it. Generally tired hotel needs a large renovation. Steps into and out of hotel loose - very dangerous especially for my pregnant wife!

Parking was fairly restricted

The room was clean and comfortable, but the car park was full, so had to drive around in the pitch dark and torrential rain to find a lay and display nearby. Breakfast was a bit of a nightmare sue

We arrived at the hotel to check in and had paid the full price before arriving. Reception then charged ann extra £108 for parking apparently. We got to the room and the air conditioning was broken. It was so noisy. We were told it wasn’t supposed to be like that and he would try and get us another room. The manager then forgot about us and said we just had to stay in the original room. When I booked the hotel said it had a gym and showed photos of said gym. Upon arrival we were told the gym was removed weeks ago so had to plan to train somewhere else both days while staying in the hotel. The cleanliness wasn’t what we expected. We left the hotel for the full day and when we arrived back nothing had been cleaned. We had no clean mugs for coffee or clean towels. We were over charged and promised a partial refund.

There was a party close to our room the music was very loud and we struggled to sleep. The car park was full and we had to pay to park somewhere else

Hardly any parking available, with two small children and luggage it was not fun. Staff gave out wrong information about the information sheet we was give. Lifts aren’t exactly accessible

Parking space is limited which is in first come first serve basis. It is better to check in earlier and leave your car there if you stay during peak season or special event.

Functional room, very limited parking. Fairly tired hotel. Holiday Inn till seems to have an issue with key cards as there were numerous issues with allocating already occupied rooms!

Only 2 cups in a 4 person room and no toilet brush. Difficult to find parking space even tho chargeable

This is a functional but otherwise charmless hotel. Two big drawbacks are a lack of a gym, and the lack of laundry service.

Room Aircondition not working Room full of mold in carpet and shower

A very shabby hotel the carpets in the public areas are disgraceful stained and dirty, only one of the two lifts ever seams to be working, our room was clean but the carpet was old and grubby we had to ask for toiletries as there were none in the bathroom. This hotel is not what you would expect from the Holiday Inn.

Took 15 mins for the receptionist to come to reception, the rooms were very dated as are the hall ways. The walls in the room were dirty needed a clean or painting. The carpet in yhe room was very worn.

For ease of convenience we chose to stay locally to stoneleigh park. The best was very comfortable and parking on site was easy to arrange. Unfortunately the more you looked the worse the room got, there was a HUGE leak in the ceiling in the bathroom dripping onto the surfaces and floor. The cleanliness was satisfactory but not by any means good.

The room especially the bathroom wasnt overly clean, the grout in the shower was orange. There was tissue paper blocking the spy hole in the door which housekeeping obviously hadnt noticed and the hairdryer was sticky. The hotel room needed some TLC, the windows were dripping condensation in the morning and the grab rail in the bath wasnt secure. (I didnt report this) Music was playing loudly until 11pm which we could hear in the room, when we mentioned this we were told it is every other Saturday and next time request a room over the bridge as that is quieter. The car park didnt feel secure. Positives were breakfast, a good selection. The bar man was helpful and friendly. Dinner was good and there was a nice choice. A cot was provided free of charge. Great location if visiting the castle.

The staff were helpful and efficient. The property, however, made for an unpleasant stay. As a member i was offered an upgrade to a floor i had to access via a staircase and then the room vibrated with the lift movement. The room was good but i wouldve had disturbed sleep. So i was moved to another floor but the carpets throughout looked filthy and heavily stained. The room was very dated and not clean. The bathroom smelt. It was called an executive room but it didnt stack up. The rate for this room was higher than a local 4* and to get such a room made for a very disappointing stay. Im sure the newer rooms are up to standard but mine was not, sadly.

The front of house staff were friendly and helpful and were the main positive about the hotel. We ate at the hotel and the staff were helpful in reserving us a table, but when we got to the bar, it was poorly stocked with no beer on tap and no child friendly drinks, the fridges were pretty bare and running out quickly. It took food a very long time to come out (nearly two hours after we arrived so we had some very cranky children) but thankfully it was good when it eventually turned up. The food choice at breakfast was also good. However, the toilets in the lobby were dirty and in poor condition. The rooms were ok but not clean, the bedside tables were thick with dust and the bedding was dirty. They were also very warm (the air con for the room was only in the lounge area so this was freezing while the bed and bathroom were both boiling), and were not soundproof, so trying to get our child to sleep was made more difficult by some very loud jazz music coming from outside.

Dirty carpets and windows in hallways, lifts were dirty and shower in bedroom had hair on the wall. Disappointing for such an international brand!

Staff lovely. Public areas are modern and clean. Corridors (carpet), and rooms, are tired. Cracked plastic round basin spongy, probably rotten underneath. Bath panel MDF affected by the water, walls, chairs, carpet marked. Clean but a bit tatty.

Convenient hotel for location/transport routes, but some areas need updating (corridors etc) Rooms are small, but have been updated to HI spec Air-conditioning in room wasn't working so was very hot Bathroom required some TLC

Feels tired for a standard room. Air conditioning not working and on floor 6 the shower pressure was very poor. Breakfast is good but food in the bar is mediocre . I had fish and chips.

Ideal position. Staff were lovely. Comfy beds. Room needed renovation. Iron burn on carpet. Bath panel had a hole in and was water damaged at the bottom. The iron didn't work and the ironing board was damaged. Electrical switch under TV not attached to wall.

Super convenient for everything in Kenilworth! There’s a few rooms (a the one we had) that are a rabbit warren away, but still good condition and ac was welcome.

I was in room 611. It was noisy, the door outside creaked everytime it was used. The bathroom was very dated, there was no shower screen or curtain at all, although the shower pressure was so poor it made little difference. It's pricey for that level of comfort. The breakfast was pretty grim too...

Tired hotel, poor internal soundproofing

My room was allocated right next door to a very noisy lift. The lift I would suggest needs someone to look at the squeak as this unfortunately kept me up most of the night as other travellers using it as expected.

Staff were excellent throughout being very helpful to my wife currently wheelchair bound due to fracture injury. Excellent breakfast and very good evening meal.

This property is located at the top end of Kenilworth. Easy to find. The Hotel itself is quite tired albeit functional. When I arrived they told me I had been allocated a room at another local hotel. They had emailed and called me earlier to advise. Neither had been received. Not what I wanted to hear after traveling over 100 miles and arranging my day around checking in and preparing for a meeting the following day in the same hotel. I made it clear I wanted the room I had booked in this hotel, they, in fairness dealt with it promptly and I was allocated a room as booked. There were other complaints going on at the same time. I was given no reason for wanting to move to another hotel and assumed it was because they were overbooked, however, one of my fellow colleagues mentioned it was due to a flood. Not sure how true this was? Whilst I checked in I was given no directions on how to find my room, I was not asked if I wanted to book dinner or breakfast. Walking past the canteen, I would say that was probably a good thing. I went across and up the road for both. When I arrived at my room, the door was open with a broken latch. The room seemed ready and clean, so settled in. Overall the room was ok, bed was a little soft but had a reasonable sleep, a hot shower, with lotions, soap, tv, kettle, iron, board, and wifi all on hand. Staff - Danielle was friendly, and no other members smiled/interacted as I walked around.

Great location for accessing anything near the town centre. On-site parking was tight and sometimes very scarce but manageable. Breakfast was good with the standard British variety. Our room was basic but serviceable. We stayed for 8 nights while we moved home and at least five of those nights we were not left with enough bath towels for our family. It was ridiculous for us to have to request more towels almost every day. Our in-room phone was also broken and could not be replaced/repaired during our lengthy visit.

Upon arriving at the hotel, there was no staff at the reception desk, I walked down to the restaurant to see if any staff there could help, and I could not find a member of staff there either. When walking back to reception a young man appeared from the back room, puuting his jacket on, I said I've been waiting a while and looking fro staff. He stated that he was on a call in the back, and when I questioned about the other member of staff from the bar area, he stated he was probably also on a call out back. Check in from that point was fine and the hotel was fine, dirty walls in the bedroom and looks a little tired but otherwise ok. approximately 30 mins after arriving at our room, the reception staff called to check we were ok with the room. I found this a little odd as that's not something that normally happens in a hotel.

The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful, from the lady at breakfast (didn’t catch her name) who helped my kids make the pancakes, and were calm amidst my sons hyperactivity, to Adam, who greeted us after a very long drive and late arrival. We had a large cake that needed to be refrigerated and he put it in a fridge for us, he was also very friendly and we decided this is definitely a place we’ll be returning.

We had a terrible experience on 12.9.24. My friend & I had booked the disabled room back in April, (because she has medical needs), but when we arrived 5.30pm on 12.9.24 we were informed that we could not have that room and they would try to find us another. Adrian (who worked on reception) was only on his 4th day there and was clearly under pressure & inexperienced dealing with customers. He gave us a voucher for the bar and asked us to wait a short while for them to prepare it. After over an hour, my friend was getting very anxious because she needed to sort out her condition in the privacy of our room, but when I stressed this to the manager (Raj) he threatened to have us removed from the hotel unless I calmed down. I was not shouting or causing a scene, but was getting very firm with him to stress the medical attention my friend needed. He reacted by grabbing my hand and stroking the back of it to try & calm me down. This is totally unacceptable and he would not have done this if I were a man. He treated me like a naughty child or a subservient to him. It was totally disgusting. It finally ended up taking them over 2 hours to give us a standard double room with no disabled facilities for the first night. We did receive a 50% reduction and they moved us for the 2nd night, but our weekend away had been ruined by the whole experience. We will never return back here again!

Holiday Inn is central to attractions we were visiting. Many dining options in walkable distance.

Good option for locality, free parking outside. Room size double ok, facilities good, clean & fresh. Usb sockets one side of bed only. Lots of good restaurant choices nearby. Good value.

Booked 2 rooms - one wasn't up to our standard and we reported it immediately - a new room was organised within minutes, no fuss. A few things could be better and are signs of an older/worn hotel - but nothing that detracted from our stay. We ate in the bar/restaurant - while a little pricy we were very happy with the food and drinks provided. Breakfast was nice and enough for the family. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel with fantastic staff. The only reasons for 4* instead of 5* are the lack of power outlets by the bed and the rather cold buffet breakfast. All in all it is a great hotel and well worth the money with two mega comfy double beds in a twin room for less than £100

Brilliant location for what we needed at the nearby Priory Theatre. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Had room service which was nice too. Would recommend and will be staying again for our next visit

The family rooms with 2 double beds are good for families. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms have been recently refurbished. The net curtain needed a wash. The breakfast was busy and there weren’t enough staff on so we had to wait for cutlery, bowls etc and the food was running low. It was replenished and the staff were working hard to respond to the requests but it was clear the hotel was fully booked (we arrived late and there was no parking) so I fee they should have arranged for more staff to man the breakfast.
