Disappointing stay given the price. The property was not as advertised — it looked much more tired and outdated than the advertised photos. That said, I cannot fault the cleanliness, which was excellent. We arrived to find pillows without pillowcases, though these were added later in the day while we were out. Only one bath towel per person was provided, with no flannels or bath mats, and while basic soap was supplied, there was no moisturiser. Beach towels also had to be hired, which added to the cost. This is not expected at this price point especially as compared with lower cost options nearby. We travel to Coolum monthly for work and had chosen this property as a treat for my birthday. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations, and we’ve found better value elsewhere. There were building works during our stay, which caused only minor disruptions (lift waits, parking access, some noise), but this was not disclosed at the time of booking — only in an email the week of our stay. Overall, we won’t return and wouldn’t recommend this property based on our experience.

Good: Large fully self contained,clean, comfortable apartment. Ocean view, opposite beach and surf club (excellent meals). Fast, friendly response from onsite manager for after hours checkin. Not so good: Some construction noise after 8.00am from building works. (Notified after booking, offered refund or transfer to alternative property). As only 1 night stay we were not affected.

This is an amazing place to stay. Great rooms with all the amenities you could need and the location is perfect - park the car for the weekend and walk to numerous cafes and restaurants and the beach.

Property across the street from beach. Saw a humpback whale playing in the water and watched the surfers. Nice pool on property as well when tired of salt waters. Easy walking distance to restaurants, clothing shops, and grocery store. Can walk a long distance of the coastline and never have to use your vehicle. Would highly recommend.

Excellent communication from the staff, informing of building work being done several weeks before we arrived. Didn’t affect our stay at all. The apartment was fantastic with everything we needed, well furnished and very comfortable. The views are to die for of the beach & ocean. Would happily stay here again and would request the same apartment number again.

The property is light and spacious and thoroughly clean. Location is excellent. Maintenance could be a little more rigorous - none of three bedside lamps had working bulbs. A box of tissues in the unit would be a good addition.

This hotel was not clean. We had issues with not feeling good in this hotel. The bed in main bedroom there was so much dirt underneath bed. This was not cleaned for quite a few weeks. I am requesting a discount and partial refund. There is no reason for a place that charges this much to be that dirty.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in a 1 bedroom apartment on one of upper floors. Absolutely fantastic views in all directions up and down the coast and out to sea. The apartment was huge, although a little outdated, It had all of the things you need to be fully self-contained, with a resnable size balcony to sit out and take in the sights and sounds of the area. Definitely worth a look at.

We throughly enjoyed our time at Coolum Caprice! The room we stayed in well we feel very lucky to have been allocated, as it was newly renovated and was beautiful. The views of the ocean every morning at sunrise and throughout the day were simply divine and so hard to leave! Bed was comfortable and the spa bath was relaxing! Did not have any issues with noise at all during the stay. With the check in we arrived after reception hours as our flight arrived around 8:30pm. The code we were supposed to be sent was never received so we were a little worried about how we would be able to gain access into the hotel as we could not find any information online about what the procedure is! Enter Tommo The friendly night manager as our saviour! There was a phone that we were able to call him on and he came out and gave us our hotel keys! The decor, garden and pool area are well designed and aesthetically pleasing. Tracey was helpful at reception and we were so grateful to have been able to stay in the room for a bit longer after check out as our flight was not until the evening. Overall a wonderful and pleasant stay!
