Hotel is still work in progress regarding the renovation but we found it to be quiet, and very nicely decorated / appointed. We stayed on the 1st floor (basement?) level which had its own lounge area and the gym. The space was lovely, big and felt like our own private space as it was so new that there wasn’t anyone using it. They were still putting together some of the gym equipment when we arrived but that wasn’t an issue for us. We did find that not all of the doors to the back parking area had working hotel key readers so we had to be thoughtful when exiting so as not to get locked out and then having to walk a bit to an open door. Not a big deal, just part and parcel with the renovation work that is in flight.

Nice rooms, good location for downtown. Parking was $15/day. Internet was good. Good restaurant for breakfast, but pricey. There was significant construction and railroad noise after 7:30A.

This hotel has recently been renovated, they have done a great job. The lobby has a fireplace, the bar and restaurant is great and they have a coffee, gift shop, coffee was excellent. The room are really well done, love the furnishing and retro mini frig, our was red, would like one for my house. The beds were comfortable. Stay here, you will not be disappointed.

This is a very good option for downtown lodging. The hotel is towards the end of a major renovation, but there was not much work remaining when we were there. We stayed there at the beginning and end of our train trip. Rooms facing the parking lot are quieter that the ones facing 4th Street. There is an excellent coffee shop/gift shop onsite, as well as a full service restaurant. We did not eat breakfast so can't attest to the quality of the food.

Nice restaurant but pricey dinner slash bar menu. Loud intermittent sound from a nearby machine room 2147. Difficult to sleep. Prefer a complimentary parking space rather than paying $15 a day in their lot.

The hotel is fully renovated, actually still under construction. Disregard all old negative feedback (pre 2024) you may read on forums, it’s an entirely new hotel. It’s very clean and has a nice interior design. It’s at the edge of downtown but it’s all walkable. Effective blackout curtains (very important in Alaska) The not so positive: Sound proofing is not good. At night your sleep will be disturbed either by the train or the local hicks that think it’s fun to drive around with monster pickup trucks with modified mufflers, depending on which side your windows are Check in staff in the evening was not very friendly Like everywhere downtown, there are homeless with mental health problems

Property is currently under renovations. When we arrived some of the surfaces has not been wiped and were covered in dust. Daily room cleanings were not done regularly and we had to ask/remind/request cleanings (our room was only cleaned 3 out of the 6 days)

Property was clean and well cared for. Towels were white, fluffy, and smell freshly laundered. Water pressure in shower a bit low. Room brightly decorated, eclectic in a good way. Staff was friendly and attentive. I was very impressed.

Nice restaurant, good food and great service. However there were many other issues. The AC was sent to a minimum temp of 68 and could not be lowered, but the room never got below 70! The time on the clock was wrong and could not be changed, the TV completely failed ( see photo) and while it was working the system to log into my own streaming network was not set up yet by the hotel. When I demanded, and I did need to demand, a fan, they got me one that had a broken switch and placed it in the window that would only open 6 inches the temp in the room came down to 65 quickly. Not a bad hotel but the big brother aspects of this management team is a major draw back for me.

Right next to the rail yard trains starting moving and blowing there horns at 5 am. Great alarm clock if you need to get up at 5 am, I didn’t!

Wonderful new hotel in downtown Anchorage. Stayed in the least expensive room and it was full of thoughtful easy to use conveniences. Hooks everywhere great Wi-Fi beds were awesome with super good pillow choices. Good blackout blinds. Lovely aesthetics, easy to come and go. Worth it.

The amazing staff of this hotel turned a flub into a bonus. Originally we were supposed to have a double room with two beds. We arrived at 9:00 PM and they were not available. The management adapted and gave us two king rooms. Excellent recovery. The design of the hotel is beautiful and feels Like a one of a kind and appropriate for Alaska with its warmth coming from the materials they use. Wood stone leather and textural fabrics complement each other. Comfortable beds and great sheets and pillows. Great food in the Crimson restaurant and great coffee in the room (Illy) and the Canteen. If there is a drawback it’s the layout. Long hallways put you far away from the lobby and for us that was not a problem but for some it might be. The location near the Alaska RR depot and downtown Anchorage’s east side was super convenient.

The hotel is very clean and well cared for! Staff was excellent and we enjoyed the restaurant. We accidentally left a wad of cash, passports and electronics in the safe when we checked out. We realized our error when we got to the airport. I called the hotel and let them know we were coming back for our valuables. They removed everything from the safe and had it waiting for my husband at the front desk to swoop up on a mad dash back to the airport. Not a thing was taken, and the staff was so nice about our error. I am so thankful for such a great, honest workforce. The hotel is walkable to everything downtown, as well as the convention center, where we were dropped off after our cruise. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was awesome, the housekeeping team were terrific, I just found the hospitality team are lacking enthusiasm. In an industry where a happy and welcoming attitude is paramount, this establishment’s hospitality team lack these qualities. A long time ago I was a housekeeper, I know how hard the work is, it’s a thankless job. Kudos to all of the housekeeping team, they’re to true backbone of the Wildburch Hotel. On their attitudes and work ethic, I’d gladly give 5 stars but the hospitality staff let the team down.

My mom and I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, it was a very lovely experience. The property is pristine, clean, and well-maintained, and the staff were generally very friendly and helpful. The only challenges we encountered were related to our booking and billing. I had booked through Expedia and paid for a package that included breakfast. At check-in, there were some issues confirming this, and I had to show receipts to ensure it was honored. While the staff were gracious and did their best to help, I found myself having to remind different team members multiple times that breakfast was included. Additionally, there were some unknown charges on my card that the front desk couldn’t explain, and I was only able to resolve the matter after speaking with the manager. I understand the hotel is fairly new, so these teething issues are somewhat expected. Aside from these two matters, our stay was very enjoyable, and I would recommend the hotel for its cleanliness, comfort, and welcoming atmosphere.

The hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Anchorage, which has a small-town feel. Lots of excellent but casual restaurants, fun shopping, a great museum, and a beautiful running trail just steps from the hotel. The hotel itselfnis recently updated and the room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable, especially after a very long day of travel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My only recommendation is that they build an indoor pool!

Extremely noisy. Trains blowing their horns all night long, cars racing in the distance, and air force jets taking off at the military base a short distance away. You spend a grip to stay at this boutique hotel, but don’t expect to get much sleep.
