Oakfield Hotel & Suites Rochester, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Recently renovated and in excellent condition. No elevator to the second floor but stay was able to assist. Highly recommend this location!

Newly remodeled hotel, very nice for the price point. Staff was exceptional. Close to dining, no breakfast onsite but you can walk a block to their sister hotel (Country Inn & Suites) to have the breakfast buffet there. They do have grab & go snacks available all day though. When we were there the place had been completely renovated a month ago and it was in great shape, and very clean. It is only 2 stories, and there is no elevator so if a flight of stairs poses a problem for you request a first floor room. All in all a great place in a convenient location.

I did not realize for the first 2 days that the room was not checked daily but that if you asked for it to be serviced it would be. Just be aware of that. It was not a big deal in that as long as I made sure before being out for the day that anything we needed (TP, towels, coffee cups etc) we asked for at the front desk; hubby also emptied our garbage once. Truthfully once I knew, it was not a big deal at all. The staff were always so friendly and willing to help! The hotel was very clean. Teeny teeny bathrooms so beware. Nicely stocked small kitchen with cereal bars, fresh fruit, juices. I would consider staying again for short periods of time. Also, if you are on the 2nd floor there is no elevator so if you need one, be sure to ask in your reservation

Very clean and newly renovated. Beds were very comfortable and place is quiet. Conveniently located. Area in lobby is limited to grab and go items, but is offered 24/7 and free: includes coffee, tea assortments, hot cocoa and multiple juices, plus water. Friendly staff. Bathroom is small, but if only staying a few days, its doable. Waterfall showerhead was really a nice touch, though. Would stay again.

This is a nice clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast choices are pretty limited and only snack type food. Staff is friendly. If a true breakfast is what you are looking for then there are locations nearby. Rooms are serviced upon request like most hotels we have stayed in. A sad decline for all after covid but all it takes is a request and it is done. Coffee was not working when we had an early airport pick-up and really nothing left to eat that I would count as food. I would stay here again since we visit family in the area and food really isn’t an issue.

You can tell a bit of TLC went into remodeling this hotel. It’s very clean and has more amenities than you need including a fully stocked snack bar and fridge. The room and bed are very comfortable. There’s also strong water pressure in the large handicap/elderly accessible shower. Across the street is Whole Foods and the highways are super close for fast transportation. I’d stay here again.

The fridge in room is stocked with drinks for a charge, so not a lot of room for your own stuff. Staff was nice, rooms and lobby are clean and bright. No real "breakfast". Coffee, juice, water and granola bars in the lobby 24/7 but not a true breakfast. Parking was easy and very close to shops, grocery stores and the freeway.

Incredible experience! The entire hotel including lobby, and my room were immaculately clean. Bedding was comfortable and cozy. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Lots of nearby food options. Parking lot had ample space. All in all a great experience. But just a caution on your first time to the property, it is incredibly easy to pass, so be on the lookout for it!

The property was clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome. I loved all of the fresh fruit available downstairs. The rooms were very effiecnt and the makeup mirror was perfect. The only downside here was the lack of an elevator, but the hotel wa only 2 stories, so the stairs weren't much of a problem. Thanks for a great stay!

Hotel, lobby, hallways, room renovated modernizing an old building. Very, very clean. Snack and drink bar in lobby were a nice surprise. Bathroom is tiny but workable. Shower door doesn’t remain fully closed so unfortunately water gets on floor.

No extra blanket, no plant based milk for coffee, hair on my sink.

We just got bed bugs from this hotel. I wasn’t even going to leave a review despite a terrible night, but after I found we had bites it motivated me to notify others. Also this place looks way better in pictures than in real life. So don’t let them make you feel like you’re getting a great deal, it’s a cheap motel. The main reason however that we had a terrible night was because of a man screaming all night in a room next door and no luck with getting the front desk to get him to calm down. He must have smoked meth or something and was having a bdsm session from 11pm -5am. It was jarring. Called the front desk, they said they would go check, and if he wouldn’t stop they would make him leave the property. Guess what, nothing such happened, he kept being screaming and cursing for hours. Eventually my husband gave me his ear plugs so I could sleep, but then he couldn’t sleep. I wish I had never gone there… the bed bugs were just a cherry on top. We really hope we didn’t bring it home. Cleaning and drying all the possible things they might have caught a ride on.

Parking was great. Plenty of space to park around the property. The room looks great when you first walk in, but while getting ready for bed my wife saw a silverfish crawling on the top of the table where you would lay your luggage down and we have a video of it and the edge of that same area was damaged when we walked in, poorly taped together as an easy fix. It was very dusty on the headboard and there were spiderwebs around the AC unit. It was nice in their lobby, but the advertised 24/7 coffee wasn't provided because they were turned off, but we did have access to their snacks. Also our room key stopped working because the battery on the door drained so it was blinking red continously and we could not get into our room. They don't have front desk lobby members after 10pm so you have to call the number on their sign for any assistance and wait for someone to come from their other hotel location about a block away which is a pretty big inconvenience. Otherwise, it was an okay stay for us and our friends. Convenient location because everything we needed was within a 10 mile radius.

This was my second visit and strange enough I stayed in the same room as last month. This time though I was not as impressed as there was fashion jewelry on the floor, hair on the wall in the bathroom and half of the beverages in the fridge were drank and put back leaving me to think I’d be charged. If these things were over looked I couldn’t help but wonder what else wasn’t cleaned. The customer service here is great and so is the location but I’m not sure if stay here again.

The sink is outside of the toilet/shower space and doesn’t have a towel ring or bar. There is no place to hang a toiletries bag near the sink or mirror. Our room had 2 queen beds which were comfortable enough but only one side of each bed had a reading light or bedside table. Phone and watch chargers were not available for couples sharing a bed. Our stay was for 3 nights. Our keys did not work two of the nights. Access to the Main Street is a little confusing.

Clean quiet rooms. A little bit small, beds are on metal frames so they squeak. Toilet and shower are in a very small space, sink is located outside of toilet area in bedroom.

Very nice staff and clean. The floors are a concrete material that don’t absorb sound very well, and I could hear conversations in the next room very clearly. Stayed there twice, and the second time I didn’t have neighbors and it was great.

The pluses were that Wholefoods and Starbucks were across the street. Dunkin was just up the road. The location suited us out of town. The minuses: the bed springs were super noisy. The bathroom was so small that the vanity was outside it. The blind was too small for the window and there was a bright light coming through the window. Next to the construction site. Breakfast was sparse. The vanity sink was blocked so we cleaned our teeth over the bath. The whole place smelled musty.

Hot water was hot… NO cold water. Got burned in the shower trying to finish my shower. Hallway was super loud at night. Shade let light in from the street. Heat took forever to heat up the room. Overall pretty bad experience given the price tag with superior options around. Won’t be staying again.

Hotel was smaller than I anticipated but newly renovated. Room was clean and freshly updated. They offered a minibar but I would have rather had an empty fridge so I could utilize it. Refrigerator was very loud which is probably my only complaint.

easiest check in with patient and courteous Sarah, hotel is super safe, quiet, and clean!!! we upgraded to King Suite, our 5 day stay was amazing, complimentary fruits and drinks downstairs 24 hours, this is the only hotel I would ever stay in, thank you for doing an amazing job!!

Bare essentials sparse breakfast and ran out of 1 pitcher of milk and was not replaced as no staff on duty. I could go on but for price not worth it. If I had paid $79 a night I’d say I got what I asked for but twice that amount and disappointment all around. Called per sign on front door and got answering machine. No one returned call or came to our rooms to resolve issues. One room No tp. One room No remote.

Convenient, clean, nicely renovated, friendly staff!

The check in staff was very friendly and personable the first night - 2/12 and the afternoon housekeeper was very kind 2/13. However the morning staff never spoke or were not even at the desk to ask questions and the night desk clerk never spoke in the 4 nights I was there. Traveling alone, I did not feel safe when no one was at the desks at night when I came in late.

The hotel staff was friendly and the room was mostly fine. I liked the huge accent wall with beautiful scenery, which made the room feel pleasant. My mother liked the polished concrete floors. The huge window was very helpful for not feeling cramped in the room. I gave 2 stars mostly because the toilet overflowed in our room shortly after arrival, leaving toilet water all over the bathroom floor. I expected maintenance to come immediately to plunge the toilet and mop up the floor, but the front desk guy didn't know what to do and called the owner. He said they usually would have given us another room, but because it was eclipse weekend they were sold out. We left to get food and when we came back the front desk guy said he plunged the toilet and used rugs to pick up the water...so there might still be a bit of water on the floor. Obviously, there wasn't a maintenance person to be found to handle issues even though it was about 4pm, right around check in time. The water was mostly cleaned up so we just dealt with it, assuming maintenance would come at some point to mop. The next morning, a different person at front desk already knew about the issue and asserted that they would take care of it, but no one ever came to mop the floor. It was upsetting that they had the audacity to charge about $450 for that room and couldn't push themselves to ensure what I thought was a basic cleanup job.

It was central to many things so just about everything was easily accessible.

I love the location right off the highway. Crossing the street to go shopping was dangerous but worth it to shop at whole foods. Front desk clerk was amazing.

It is conveniently located in the Rochester area. Staff was very friendly, and fruit, coffee, tea etc. available 24/7. We found the surfaces of the desk and nightstand to be sticky. It must be the cleaning solution is too strong, and is dissolving the finishes.

The hotel is modern but rather “bare bones.” Similar “economy” hotel chains, such as Hampton (Hilton) or Staybridge (IHG) offer more comfort for similar cost. The shower would not maintain a constant temperature, swinging wildly from cold to too hot. The TV was connected to only Pluto TV, a subscription service, and was very confusing to operate. Worst of all was the “complementary breakfast,” which consisted of only one variety of cold cereal, a few pre-wrapped sticky pastries, and a coffee machine that dispensed either French vanilla coffee or hot chocolate, but nothing else.

The hotel is in a great location close to shopping , dinner and regatta site. Newly renovated yet smells a bit new. No breakfast but fruit, snacks coffee, water, juice and tea were helpful.

Walls paper thin, bathroom extremely small, tv only works if you have subscription to something, pillows half size, bed like dorm back in college, the continental breakfast they offer is an insult.

If you want to stay in a hotel that feels like a nursing home this is the place for you. If you want breakfast your choices are cereal oatmeal or a prepackaged danish. Not exactly what most people would consider a breakfast.
