Stayed 2 nights in a double room in Uig lodge. Very nice room, spacious with a large window and fantastic view. However the room did not have a fridge which I expected for the price. On site parking was very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included a freshly cooked meal. Dinner in the restaurant was good quality. This hotel is in a convenient location for visiting Isle of Skye and we enjoyed our stay here. I do think it is a little over priced though.

The hotel is not disability friendly. Whilst it is a lovely hotel and the rooms are comfortable and staff very helpful, it was difficult due to the rooms being up stairs with no lifts. The only rooms which could have been accessible were in the lodge ground floor but the steep hill is off putting and there is not where to park near the rooms.

Confusion upon check in nearly had me looking for another place to stay after they thought they were fully booked but ultimately did find my reservation. The room was in a separate building behind the main building in the advertisements. The shower did not drain well and the floor made an awful racket. Food services were slow but friendly.

Beautiful location! The single rooms are really tiny - about the size of a single college dorm room. Single bed, with very little room around it. Biggest problem - there is no elevator, so you have to haul your luggage up the stairs to the 2nd or 3rd floor. Helped one set of women with their luggage. When I offered to the same for another, she wisely determined that, at age 67, I might keel over and decided to struggle though herself! Excellent food at the hotel. Any other restaurants are a fair drive away.

This is a friendly hotel managed by locals. Dinner is superb and worthy of any location in world. rooms are large and with sea view. Bar nice and cosy. Carpets in the extension building need replacing as smelly, but otherwise rooms are lovely

Well staffed and attentive. Menu reflecting local produce eg venison and sea trout. Breakfast had full menu and generous. 'Outside lodges' clean warm and looking out over Uig bay...beautiful. Thought price was a little elevated but am guessing its a captive audience. You get what you pay for. No negatives at all

The hotel is overpriced for the condition of the room. The bed was comfortable, but some pieces of the furniture were covered with paper that was peeling off. The side panel of the tub was loose and caving in. The view from my room window was of the hotel dumpster which was not hidden from sight. The hotel decor was basic and outdated. The highlight of my stay was the food at the hotel restaurant. I highly recommend the mussels which were cooked perfectly and excellent. The fish and chips was also very good.

Stayed 2 nights in a double room in Uig lodge. Very nice room, spacious with a large window and fantastic view. However the room did not have a fridge which I expected for the price. We stayed in The Lodge portion behind the main hotel building. Food was GREAT, as were the bar selections. Staff are all very nice, super helpful. Easy checkin, easy parking. Great for Quiraing. Downsides: room was very hot and while windows opened, no screens, floor creaked/snapped/popped loudly in bathroom (on 2nd floor), and other guests coming and going at night kept us awake until quite late. Great views from room.

This was an affordable option in a touristy area. The hotel is old, but the rooms have been renovated with new carpets and bathrooms. The single room was small, but I had room to open my large suitcase on the floor when I moved the chair. I had a very nice seaside view from my window. The breakfast was fantastic. I added breakfast to my booking, and they had great menu options. One morning I had the full Scottish breakfast, and the next day I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. I had supper there both nights, and the meals were good. The dining room and breakfast area both gave seaside views. I would definitely go back to the Uig Hotel.

I liked that it was centrally located for our day trips and the breakfasts were filling and the dinners were good. The only thing that was an issue was the internet it did not work in our room and we let the staff know but the issue was not resolved. However, they allowed me to do my computer work in the dining area where internet reception was good.

Staff was exceptional; very friendly, helpful and organized. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the restaurant, and were lucky dinner staff walked us outside to point out the Northern Lights... amazing experience. Thank you! Plenty of options for breakfast. Our room in the lodge was clean, comfortable, quiet, nicely decorated with a great view of the water. There is a bus stop just steps away and we had a lovely 1.5 mile walk to beautiful views of the Fairy Glen. Town is scenic and would be a great longer stay to see other sights on the Isle.

The staff were warm and welcoming. Check in was easily completed online via a link sent through text. The building inside and out was beautiful and clean. The food for breakfast and dinner was excellent. I can't say enough good things about this hotel.

This is a stunning hotel overlooking Uig harbour which the window from my room also did. The room was ideal, spotless and perfect for my needs. Dinner was very good but breakfast less so. I had pre-booked it for 07:30 when breakfast was allegedly commenced so was a little surprised to find several other people present when I turned up a few minutes early. I ordered just about immediately but over half an hour later, my cooked breakfast had not been served. I had to leave without it. When I raised the matter at check-out, the staff did not know how to handle it other than to say sorry which was a little disappointing.

The rooms were comfortable, spacious and have a beautiful view! The wait staff in the dining room actively avoid eye contact with you to avoid giving you any service. It happened in the morning as well as night. We decided not to eat dinner there, other than the first night, because we literally could not get anybody to come to our table. Really too bad.

My partner and I had a great night at the Uig hotel on our tour of Scotland. They called ahead to make sure we were set for dinner, offered tons of great suggestions for exploring the area and was the best host I've interacted with in a while. Marie was great to work with! Would love to come here again and spend more time.

Lovely hotel. Beautiful views. Comfy bed. Decent bathroom. Great food in the restaurant. Very close to Fairy Glen. We went to see it at sunrise. Before the hoards of tourists. I highly recommend doing that. Pics are the sunset view from our room window.

Friendly and helpful staff. John on Reception helped to re-set our satnav when we experienced problems. The menu & choices were 5 star and the chef is inventive & an asset to the hotel. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast every day of our stay. The food was locally sourced & delicious.

Breakfast was quite basic re Continental options. No cheeses /meats /tomatoes etc. No croissants / pastries. Cooked foods very good / lovely & hot Room was not comfortable - single beds really narrow / too soft. Room too hot despite turning radiator off. Furniture a bit tatty and needing replaced (chest of drawers) Parking was ideal & close to room Staff service varied. I spoke to one lady re cocktail (very poor) and am still waiting on a response.

Comfortable hotel just out of town though quite a walk up a hill. Room was large and comfortable. Meals were slow in coming after ordering. The second morning we had a days travel ahead of us and thought we’d get to breakfast 10 minutes early but were not allowed to order until 8.00. We were told there was only 1 cook on but could see things were VERY slow so ended up only ordering scrambled eggs thinking it would be quick - still very slow.
