Lovely location. Friendly staff. Room could've done with a refresh. Usual tea,coffee available in room but lacking toiletries in bathroom. Breakfast was included and was very nice. If you want to eat in the evening be aware they stop selling food at 8pm.

Really nice atmosphere, really warm welcome, great food, nice beer and I left too early for breakfast so Elaine made me a fab ham, cheese and mustard sandwich to eat on my walk. A fine experience

Nice character building in quiet village very conveniently situated off A64. Parking available. Friendly reception & swift check in. I was in spacious en-suite room. Basic standard of furnishings/good level of cleanliness & amenities. Good Wi-Fi connection. Good enough breakfast (table served) Very friendly/relaxed atmosphere/staff throughout with special mention for "Jill." Overall very good value stay thank you.

Basic but clean food good and nice breakfast great staff good bar

There did seem to be noticeable wear and tear but it was clean, and that is far more important. The room was surprisingly large and comfortable. The en suite shower room was a bit small and cramped but was clean and fit for purpose. I actually feel that the room could have been a little smaller to give more space to the shower room. The staff were very friendly and I liked the photograph of the owner and her cat, which had disappeared on the second night. The pub was friendly and played pleasant '80s music quietly in the background. The whole area was really pretty. My only complaint was that they stopped serving food very early compared to what I am used to. I think this is a cultural difference between the North and the South. They stopped serving food at 8pm, while I am used to food service until about 10pm or later. I am not a breakfast eater but as it was included, I did eat breakfast on the day I left. It was very good.

Good value accommodation with excellent food in the pub restaurant

Lovely old inn. Comfortable rooms, lovely and warm on arrival and throughout - I actually turned the radiator down. Lovely staff, good breakfast, free parking. Slept well. I’ve stayed here for a music festival in Whitby 3 times and booked again for next year whilst there this year. Highly recommend.

Nice room at a reasonable price. Nice and quiet at night. Slept well. Tasty breakfast included. Friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. Ate here for tea. Had sticky pork belly bites, burger, crab and apple crumble. Everything was great. The homemade chunky chips were really good. Nice selection of beers including some local cask ales. Good location. Short walk to Malton centre and markets.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Stayed in room 1 over looking the main road which was very busy and noisy, so didn't have a very good nights sleep. Very dated property needs a lot of maintenance, paint and plaster coming of the walls. Doors didn't fit properly so a big gap under the door. Bathroom fitments either hanging of the wall or parts had been removed. Floor very uneven. Shower very small and a slow flow of water. Bed uncomfortable felt like I was sloping downhill. On the positive side it was clean, wifi was good and breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

All the staff were welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast and had an evening meal one night which was very nice. Our room was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. The only problem was it was really cold and we couldnt get the radiator to work. The TV was oddly positioned which meant we couldnt easily watch it but that wasnt an issue. The shower was an issue, it trickled out so it wasnt a pleasant experience but overal our stay was really good.

The breakfast was good. The beds were clean but the room was dated and tired and need much attention. The shower was useless. However, the cost reflects this, I feel.

Not a particularly pleasant experience. Although the staff were friendly our room was not made up after the first night; we were not given fresh towels and the tea/coffee setup was not replenished. There was no air-conditioning and had only a tiny window opening onto the noisy outdoor seating of the pub below. We asked for a fan and they gave us one. The entire place was unkempt and dirty. To stay it is tired would be an understatement. The bathroom had rings around the sink and shower enclosure. The dark coloured carpet had visible stains and felt unclean when walked on (only once) in bare feet. The corridors and stairs were in a terrible way with chipped paint, flaking wood, filthy carpets, etc. Horrible! There were no tissues or bottles of water, or any other amenites for that matter. Breakfast was good, but we were restricted to eating between 0800 and 0900 hrs. That seemed very restrictive for holidaymakers. The timings should be for the benefit of the guests, not the staff. We had one dinner and found the portions were good and the food tasted OK, if rather dry. I had roast chicken and my wife had overcooked roast beef. In Yorkshire I would have expected light, fluffy Yorkshire puddings, but they were stodgy as was the dessert which purported to be sticky toffee pudding, but which was a far cry from sticky toffee pudding. We would not return nor recommend the Wentworth Arms to anyone. It needs work and money spent on it.

Hotel clean but could do with a touch up. The food on the evening was out of this world (amazing ) and excellent value for money. All,the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

The food was fabulous. Would definitely comeback to stay or if passing by call in for a bite to eat. The only thing that I would ask for is a room off the main road if possible as it gets quite noisy early in the morning.

Our room was fine at the rear of the property however we had the kitchen fans humming and even though that stopped at around 8. 30 pm there was another fan we could not identify which went off at around 4am. Shame because otherwise it was a quiet room. The breakfast was excellent.

Room 7 decent size...very comfy bed, moderate shower. Good tea and coffee making facilities....excellent breakfast. Property in need of a refurbishment.....old windows that i think in winter will let in a lot of cold air. All staff i met were friendly and helpful. Probably would stay again at the price level.

Couldn't access property to check in (10 minutes after supposed to be able to) En-Suite shower was impossible to use, dribble of water, and cubicle was tiny, I am 6ft 4in, but I was unable to turn around when door was shut The food was tasty and good value, the property was disappointing

Room was clean and staff very friendly. Good value for money and a pleasant walking distance to town or very handy for buses. Excellent choice of hot breakfasts, plus cereals, with quick and friendly service. Option to dine in pleasant bar or restaurant for lovely evening meals very handy.

Stayed at the Wentworth a few times now. The stag are always friendly and we always enjoy our stay, particularly enjoy the cooked breakfast.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Food was excellent. Room was noisy from road outside and needed a little TLC but this was reflected in the price. Would stay again as it was good value for money.

Booked a last minute stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pub is in a picturesque location within 20 miniutes walk into Malton. The building is an old coaching house with lots of character and charm. Staff were really friendly abd helpful, our room was traditional, clean and comfortable and we had a very good breakfast included. Really easy to get to Pickering and the Coastfrom here, including Whitby and Scarborough by car or bus. Wouldn't hesitate to stsy again.

Good choice of evening meals, staff very friendly and service great. Breakfast was very filling and set you up for the day. An ideal base for visiting loads of local attractions. Thanks to all the staff and their warm welcome.

Had a lovely stay, we had a family room and it was very spacious. The staff were very welcoming, kind and helpful. We had a great evening meal and cooked breakfast, the food is fab! Would definitely stay again.
