Nice staff. Easy Check in. parking on the other hand,people that were NOT staying at the hotel were parking there which left people that were staying at the hotel nowhere to park. I think there needs to be a system for parking like a paper parking permit or something and regualer parking checks especailly at might like 8 or 10 PM. There were car haulers blocking parking spaces as well!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were able to park early and leave our vehicle there while we walked to the beach for the sandcastle building contest. When we returned, we were able to charge up our EV. The desk person let us know that they usually park their cars in the spots to hold them for EV drivers so they can charge. You just have to ask at the front desk.

The room was spacious (Captains Quarters in a separate building above the laundry room) and it was clean upon arrival. The kitchen was great - it had all the basic utensils we needed. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. The grounds were maintained well. It was nice that they had a fire pit area and a grill to use. The hotel was close to everything and we walked the town. Will definitely stay again.

Upon arrival we found our room to appear as though it was clean however the floor was very sticky. I had Clorox wipes with me so proceeded to wipe the floor with them and the wipes were turning black. We later found that the refrigerator freezer in our room did not close properly so it had defrosted all over the floor so we cleaned that up and requested repair. Within discovered that are toilet did not flush properly, and the bathtub was full of hair. If it hadn’t been a holiday weekend, and nonrefundable rate, we would have checked out and gone elsewhere. Walls are extremely thin between the first and second floor. Neighbors above us checked in late night and proceeded to unload their car and then played what sounded like several quarters of basketball and made or tap danced an entire broadway show. I was frankly surprised the ceiling didn’t cave in. We complained multiple times because we were told there was a zero tolerance noise policy after 10 PM but this went on well until after 1:30 in the morning. It started up again at 7 AM. On the positive side of the places centrally located, the staff was very kind and accommodating as best as they could be for things outside of their control.

Checked in with reasonable expectations due to positive customer reviews, but was disappointed to find unchanged sheets - sand and body hair in my bed - at bedtime. The hotel receptionist was professional and gave me fresh sheets and a clean blanket, and I remade the bed. When I spoke to the manager before check out two days later, she claimed there could not have been dirty sheets. She said she personally checked every bed in the establishment, she assumed I wanted a room rebate. The location is good and the parking lot is convenient. I didn’t appreciate being condescended to, and I probably won’t stay at Inn by the Sea in Long Beach again.

Room was not clean and smelled. We found multiple hairs in our sheets, shower, etc. We had to change out the sheets when we got there. Floors were dirty. Could not walk on them barefoot or feet would turn black. Garbage can had syrup all over it. Lamps kept flickering when there was a surge.

A nice place to stay. Right in town. Walkable to beach and shopping and food. Staff was very nice. The downside was the sand on the floor. I prefer to be barefoot when inside but the sandy floor made that uncomfortable. I had to clean the sand out of my sheets each morning.

Bed sheets had blood stains. Kids walked around the hotel room barefoot and after 1 hours the bottoms of their feet were black so I don’t think it gets mopped very often. Would not stay again and not worth the cost.

Overall the room was clean and functional. The only complaints I have are the shower and the noise. The shower was barely functional. The head kept falling down. Water leaking onto floor. I feel like it's probably on their remodel list. Also, it sounded like a herd of wildebeest stomping around for hours in the room upstairs.

Large rooms. Hard surface floors which I prefer. Door locks were a little tricky. Parking got very full on Friday night, I am not sure how closely they monitor to ensure only hotel guests are parking. Very close to the center of town and to beach access. I would stay here again when in Long Beach.

The room was a pretty basic motel room that suited us for our overnight stay. We were able to rest and it was clean. Parking was convenient and it is walkable to the beach and town. There is not air conditioning in the room so if it had been warmer it may have been an issue. The fan that was provided was enough for our September stay.

Check in was super easy, quick, and staff were really friendly. The hotel is walking distance to the ocean which was perfect and so close to all the shops. We enjoyed being able to just walk wherever. The only downside we had was that the walls are super thin. You could hear every step the person above us took and it was very loud.

We like this motel and will stay there again. It is clean, lots of room, pretty quiet, good location, nice breakfast. AC would be nice. We opened the door and windows for a couple of hours until sunset. When we closed them, the room got warm again.

We were kept up all night by the floor above us partying till four in the morning, until we couldn’t take it any longer and we had to bang on the ceiling to get them to stop. Which I understand isn’t the hotels fault. But without sleep we asked for late check out and the gentleman over the phone was amazing and gave us until noon. Then at 11:45 the extremely rude lady from the front desk came banging on the door like she was the police and told us it’s past our check out…. to which we told her we spoke to someone already and she said I know you need to be out in 15 minutes, leaving our baby hysterical from being awoken from a dead sleep already in his car seat as we were almost out the door. On top of this our three year old was absolutely terrified that we did something wrong. This is not a family friendly hotel and completely ruined our Father’s Day weekend. This is one place we will never be staying at again.

Other than the male employee who checked us in, most everyone else was super helpful and accomodating. He had a tendency to simply say 'no' to any request and perhaps didn't know what was/was not allowed, but he could also assume it's fine until being told otherwise.

I was greeted and checked in by a very efficient, informative and personable staff. She saw my needs and assured me that my room would be perfect for me. She was right. I enjoyed my room and for 2 days and nights I barely left. It had a kitchenette, it was spacious and very clean.

Our only real concern was related to the bagels had mold on them; the yogurt cups were past due for the use by date. Would be nice to have decaf coffee pods as well as caffeine coffee pods. We were very happy with the customer service at main desk; the room was spacious and spotless. The walls are s little thin - noise in the evening. All in all the price for is right; the closeness to downtown was great. Could walk almost to any place.

Breakfast was a couple microwave burritos and yogurt. There was not enough parking and got when I was parked in there lot my truck was hit and they told me that it was to hard for them to look at there camera to see who did it even the though they had atleast 3 cameras on that spot.
