Coastal Inn and Suites

I didn't like that no staff are available after 6pm. We had to go to the other location to get code for the room.

It was great. Staff was friendly and welcoming, room was nice, comfortable and clean. Safe and walkable area. My only complaint is there was a sign above the ice machine requesting not to fill ice chests or coolers. Was a little disappointed I had to go to a gas station and buy a bag of ice when normally hotels and motels don't mind me filling my cooler with their ice machine. But that was literally the only downside, otherwise my stay was great. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

I really wanted to love this place as we have stayed at their other frank property, Inn by the Sea, and love it there. First, the office closes at 6. If you need anything beyond that hour you must travel to their other property where the office is open later. In our case, we ran out of towels and Keurig coffee k cups, so we had to drive to the other property for more. They advertise free breakfast and bikes, they don’t have either available. The unit was FREEZING. They had 1 heater for the entire 2 bedroom unit and no extra linens or pillows. The pillows were awful and the beds were even worse. Squeaking every time you moved, I felt like I was sleeping on Sheetrock. The walls in this place are worse than paper thin. We heard everything. Barking dog all hours of the night, fighting and yelling late hours of the night and early hours into the morning. I called the office and asked if someone could please say something to them and was told “there’s a number in the text you got for check in, you can call that number if there’s noise complaints.” She didn’t have a care in the world. We spent almost $400 for 2 nights here and literally the only good thing about it, was the location. I would recommend cleaning your couch and chair in the deluxe 2 bedroom family unit as it was absolutely disgusting with stains and animal fur. There is also a major ant problem in the kitchen area, didn’t appreciate have ants crawling on our prepared food and all over the coffee pot.

The only issue that I had is, I could not find the ice machine. I don’t know if they had one or not, but by the time I looked for one of the office was closed.

When we pulled up we thought oh no, run down, weird parking and outhouses in the lot. The front desk room is full of boxes and you must go to another hotel to buy drinks and snacks. Check in was over the phone, and then by text. The room is nice and clean. The listing included breakfast and wifi. Neither of these were available. There was no compensation for this, just we’re sorry. After seeing a sign in the room informing us that there’s a fine for “unregistered dogs”. I texted immediately to let them know ours is with us and they charged their pet fee right away. I expected more.

The room we had was very clean., very comfortable. We needed something from housekeeping and they brought it to us very quickly and we're very friendly. There was a fire pit accessible and also an out side cleaning sick for cleaning clams! The front desk lady was also very super friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Shopping/Dining was just down the sidewalk. We wll definitely come again. Thank you coastal inn & suites. Our 25th anniversary was nothing but relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was quit, clean and spacious. All main shopping areas within walking distance. Love to sit at the fire pit.

They fail to tell you that their lobby is under construction, so you actually have to check in at another property down the street a few blocks. Other than that, it's a good. clean facility. A good sized bathroom -- kick-ass water pressure, solid wifi and television. With three remotes necessary to operate the tv, they might want to provide a cheat sheet.

Access to EV charger at their sister property was a nice bonus! Small things like coffee, tea, taffy available in the front lobby. Ice machine could use an update as scooping ice out of a freezer box isn't the most sanitary way to go about it these days. Limited hours of the front desk (until 6pm) while we were there in the middle of summer. Staff was incredibly friendly and the highlight of the accommodation. Everyone from the assistant manager Juanita, Barb and Don at the front desk, and the cleaning staff. Would definitely stay again!

The property and location was awesome. The unit was very clean and quiet. We gave and overall rating of 3, due to the check-in process. There is no on-site office staff; check-in is provided via text. Our information arrived ~4:20pm due to communication hiccups re status updates between office and cleaning staff.

The floors when we got in were not clean dirty on my socks, had taken off our shoes by front doorso it wasnt from thoose flooes had not been swept or mopped and no maid service during our stay. 😪

The room was nicely updated and decently comfortable but the shower was disgusting. There was visible mold growing in all the joints of the shower wall pieces and the edge of the tub that had been very poorly covered up with caulking and it all looked like a very rushed job by an inexperienced handyman. We most likely will not book here again.

We got the family room which had plenty of room for all of us. The sofa sleeper was terribly uncomfortable, we also found garbage from previous guests under the couch. The kitchen had the basic items which allowed us to cook meals and eat in almost the whole trip. The shared walls are very thin and you can hear guests in other rooms, if you’re a light sleeper bring ear plugs just in case. Overall we enjoy our stay here and would come again in the future.

Spacious, clean, and with a well-stocked full kitchen. Lots to do in walking distance. Will be happy to stay again when I'm back in the area. (2 bedroom).

It is centrally located, room smelled of mildew, and one of the "clean" towels had been used to dust or??? Black dirt all over it, dead bugs and webs too.

The remodel is really nice! However, there were dirty dishes put away, lots of dust under the bed that was very visible. Overall we enjoyed our stay, good value will stay again.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room and how new and fresh it all looked. Well stocked with toiletries and coffee supplies. Great stay!

Great location and easy parking. However, when we arrived, the rooms were very unclean (crumbs, food dirt on furniture, wet sheets, unwashed blanket) and we needed to deep clean before we settled in. The walls are not sound proof (could hear entire conversations of family next door), every door bedframe creaks loudly and the AC remote was missing so we couldn't adjust temperature. The mattresses were saggy (especially the pull-out couch, which we know is to be somewhat expected, however sleeping on a spring hole was not ideal). Once we cleaned the place and replaced the sheets, our experience was fine and the location is great, but it the Coastal Inn wasn't the best experience.

This was our second stay while checking out possible properties for a relocation. We came back because we had such a great first experience a few weeks ago. Check in is easy, whether it’s during the open office hours or after hours. Staff are super friendly. Parking is easy and the location is an easy walk to a lovely beach and to lots of terrific shops and cafes/restaurants. The only ding on a perfect score is that although the place was immaculate during our first stay, there were two dark, wiry hairs at the base of the shower floor this time and, well, ick factor. I’d return and recommend, as I think this was a fluke.

No A/C and the fans did not work. The rooms got really hot and it was not even that hot outside. The room next door had music going on and I could hear them talk all night. The staff are nice just.

We booked the suite for a 2 night stay. It was so spacious and clean. Kitchen was huge and came with all dishes needed. Noise level was minimal (we stayed in December so that could change with the tourist season). Bedroom was pretty big and had nice furniture. Bed was not the most comfortable. Pillows were ok. The comfort level wasn’t bad enough to not stay here again, we definitely would. Coffee/hot cocoa bar down in the lobby was nice. Side note… The Lost Roo restaurant down the road had great food.

We enjoyed our time here. The TV was difficult to use, so bring a tablet. I would also suggest ear plugs as the walls are paper thin and you can hear the conversations of people next door.

It was nice to have a place with a kitchen and an extra bedroom at a halfway affordable price.

Clean room and a great location but noisy and uncomfortable. The room we were in had paper thin walls and the adjoining room’s TV was obviously mounted on the wall behind our headboard. This made for little sleep. The couch was tiny (seriously tiny) and rock hard, there was only one small chair. This made it uncomfortable to sit and watch tv…. But there is no TV in the bedroom of the king suite so there wasn’t another option.

Location was excellent except for the road noise. Queen bed sagged.No air conditioning. Very spacious. Employees were friendly and professional. We would definitely consider staying again.

Fantastic location and the room was great with super comfy beds! TV system was superb....so many options available such as You Tube, Netflix, Prime, etc.

Room was extremely clean. They allowed us to check in early, but did not allow late checkout. Bed was pretty springy. The internet is horrible, if you plan on streaming or surfing the internet, this is the wrong place. People were nice.

First time staying here. Great place centrally located to all the restaurants and not far from the beach. I like that it was dog friendly. The room we reserved was spacious and the bed was comfy. Just wish the room had AC and the bathroom had a fan. But it was still nice and we’d stay there again.

Check in is listed as 4pm, but when we went to check in the room was not ready and they coulndt give me a time when it would be ready. It was done until after 5. What mad it most difficult was we had our dogs and had been traveling, so it was at a point when my animals needed to get out the car and we needed a place to take them. I under

GREAT staff... in the office and care for detail in the cleaning staff. Felt even BETTER than home!

Room was very nice, but staff for check in was horrible. They checked me in a hour after check in went to the room and housekeeping told me it be another 45 minutes at least for it to be ready. I dint get my room tell 6:00 two hour after check in time. And thats only because i called the front desk and they moved me. Ive stayed here over the last 10 years and wont be back. It was better customer services when the hotel had their on lobby. Very inconvenient to go to a different hotel and check in the have to drive to the other your staying at.

Before we arrived we got a text with the door code and room number. This was great as we were getting in late. We will always stay here anytime we go to Long Beach.

In the middle of the night, someone used the code and unlocked our door. My husband had locked the handle on the door, otherwise it would’ve opened. They were persistent and it woke my husband. We have no idea if it was an innocent double booking or someone breaking in. Either way, it is unacceptable. There is not a bar lock on these doors. We would not stay here again.

My job was canceled and they refused to work with me. They charged me for two weeks and I wasn’t even there. Horrible customer service.

Check in was a breeze super easy, friendly, and informative. Was given all my check in papers with info, fees, room key code etc. Room was on the next block down in another building in the back of the hotel. We stayed in Dec/ Jan. Room was clean and in good condition. With walking distance to tons of stuff. For the price for 3 nights it was a comfortable stay. Couple things, we stayed in rm C36, the bathroom fan either didn’t work, or there wasn’t one, but there was panel by the light switch it blinked green then would go back to red when we tried messing with it? Blown fuse?? Unsure, but not enough to really complain about to the office, bathroom got pretty steamy and damp. Also the room was extremely cold when we entered and took quiet awhile to heat up, It has ONE wall heater for the whole place, this is a 2 bedroom with small kitchen. The rooms both had small vents that are hooked to what we thought was a heating control but it just turn on this aggressively loud fan that sucks/ pulls in the heat from the living room into the rooms (does nothing but make noise honestly) , again only one main wall heater for the whole unit………over all we did enjoy our quiet little stay here, once it warmed up it was easy to keep warm. The other issues I think are minor though, just bring extra blankets! We really enjoyed it here and plan on a summer trip.

The close proximity to the road was nice for walk ability but it was not the most quiet area.

Excellent stay! The room was huge and decorated very well with a beachy theme. Microwave and fridge were an added bonus. Staff was friendly and you can’t beat the location.

Clean and well tended one story attached rooms. Across the street - 2 blocks is the beach and boardwalk. Easy parking. Near to several restaurants and ice cream shops.

We had a great time. Super easy access to all the fun little shops and dining in downtown Long Beach.

Great location and it had everything we needed. Close to all the shops and food. Fully stocked kitchen so we could dine in. Beds super comfortable. Provided enough toiletries for everyone in our party. Would definitely recommend and we will be staying again for sure!

Reasonable price for a three bedroom family sweet and full kitchen. Kitchen fully stocked with dishes for guest use. Restaurants open after 7pm are 21 and over so traveling to long beach with kids is harder than most beach towns. This hotel having a full kitchen made a huge difference for us after a quick stop at Sid's Market.

Recently remodeled family suite with a full kitchen! Great location. Coffee bar in the lobby and Keurig in the room is a nice touch. We will be back!
