Great friendly welcome from all the staff, Room was clean with excellent facilities, The Oak Room serves very nice food and has a good selection of drinks and the prices are very reasonable, again the service was attentive and friendly, I have no hesitation booking a stay here again, and look forward to coming back

Excellent hotel with very welcoming and helpful staff. Extra bonus was the EV charging point in the car park. High quality food and varied menu, including vegan options. Only minor issue was the cooked breakfast was only served from 7:30am, which affected my early start, but otherwise very good. Great location, easy to find and in a lovely setting with gardens and outdoor tables. Highly recommended.

Nice room had all amenities apart from an iron and there wasn’t a phone to call reception. Wasn’t a major issue as everything else was perfect. The car park is quite big and free. We checked in late and out early so did not try meals. Overall excellent value for money.

The hotel was very easy to find and only a short distance from Bishop Auckland town centre, which we visited on the Saturday morning, using a local bus as the stop was just near the hotel. We were warmly greeted on arrival, which was our experience throughout our stay. Excellent staff, very helpful and polite. We stayed in a room just off from the the entrance near the court yard. The room was quite spacious with a very comfortable bed and excellent shower. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night and the food was well presented, hot and very tasty. A very comfortable restaurant and bar, though some separate seating in the bar area might not go amiss. Breakfasts were also excellent with good choices and well presented food. A return to the land of my grandfather.. situated about a mile outside the town centre the hotel has a large carpark with electric chargers. The rooms are contained in a courtyard block set back from the reception in a style familiar to those that travel in Australia and that is a good thing. Facilities are excellent and each room is perfectly clean and spotless. The meals are cooked to perfection and the breakfasts are award winning The staff are courteous and attentive. All in all this is a top notch place to stay.

Easy to find with lots of free parking. A warm welcome in a stylish reception. A spotlessly clean, spacious and nicely decorated room. A comfortable night's sleep. A powerful shower with complimentary toiletries. Again a warm welcome at breakfast. The dining room is bright and modern and a lovely place to eat. We were told to help ourselves at the continental style buffet and given a hot menu with lots of choices to order. Service was fast and we were really happy with our food choices. It was a good breakfast to set us up for the day. A lovely place, great value for money, we would recommend to others and definitely stay here again ourselves. Well done to all who work there including those behind the scenes.

We were greeted to find that we had been upgraded to a two-bed suite at no extra cost. This was due to the fact that we had our granddaughter with us and there was availability. It was immaculate, the food was great, the bar area was comfortable. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Well recommended !

The breakfast was very good with good selection of dishes. Service was excellent. The room was very comfortable, water was hot at all times of the day and the heating system worked very well. Cleaning could be a bit better, quite a few cobwebs found.

I enjoyed my overnight stay at The Park Head Hotel. The room with ensuite i stayed in was immaculate & well presented also. This room had recently been refurbished as it was all new, the en suite was modern & finished to a very high standard. I slept well at The Park Head Hotel & i was able to relax. I would certainly recommend The Park Head Hotel to all & sundry afterall.

The whole property was well presented and welcoming. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The room was a good size, with all amenities expected. The window overlooked a busy road but with the triple glazing there was very little noise.

Stayed in the courtyard rooms which are good, the chairs are not the greatest and not overly comfortable but ok. Other than better fitting black out blinds as they let in a lot of light especially when the sun shines on them the room was good, good size, clean, with USB charging points. Would stay again for sure.

My first visit to this hotel. Very impressed friendly staff and excellent facilities. Only minor issue, the windows only have blinds, these do not effectively block out the light so awake quite early. On the whole excellent.

We stayed here one night while visiting friends. Easy check in and friendly staff, the superior courtyard room was well equipped,clean and modern. I found the bed firm which was uncomfortable for me as I prefer a softer mattress. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and freshly cooked, delicious 😋 would recommend.

I recently stayed overnight here with my sister . If only the hotel had responded to my emails instead of ignoring me ! The Saturday night was really good and we had a lovely meal served by a very nice young girl ! But on Sunday morning when we got up there was not a drop of water in our room ! We were told you’ll have to come over to main building for toilet ! So no toilet no shower no cup of tea etc . No point hanging around so came over for breakfast expecting to be served a freshly good breakfast with lots of choices - not so ! It was a chaos busy service not very well organised things kept running out and the only bread was white cheap bread ( which kept running out ! ) So not what we had paid for and not we were expecting ! Receptionist said they would be in touch with people ! Not a word ! I wrote an email which said they would respond within 48 hours ! Not a word so I wrote another one saying how disappointed I was and upset to be ignored and that after the third time of being asked I was going to post a review . All I heard was it is not our fault water went off and breakfast had to be changed because they were full ! Not good enough I’m afraid and not the way to run a business by ignoring issues .

We were greeted to find that we had been upgraded to a two-bed suite at no extra cost. This was due to the fact that we had our granddaughter with us and there was availability. It was immaculate, the food was great, the bar area was comfortable. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Well recommended !

The hotel was very easy to find and only a short distance from Bishop Auckland town centre, which we visited on the Saturday morning, using a local bus as the stop was just near the hotel. We were warmly greeted on arrival, which was our experience throughout our stay. Excellent staff, very helpful and polite. We stayed in a room just off from the the entrance near the court yard. The room was quite spacious with a very comfortable bed and excellent shower. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night and the food was well presented, hot and very tasty. A very comfortable restaurant and bar, though some separate seating in the bar area might not go amiss. Breakfasts were also excellent with good choices and well presented food. Easy to find with lots of free parking. A warm welcome in a stylish reception. A spotlessly clean, spacious and nicely decorated room. A comfortable night's sleep. A powerful shower with complimentary toiletries. Again a warm welcome at breakfast. The dining room is bright and modern and a lovely place to eat. We were told to help ourselves at the continental style buffet and given a hot menu with lots of choices to order. Service was fast and we were really happy with our food choices. It was a good breakfast to set us up for the day. A lovely place, great value for money, we would recommend to others and definitely stay here again ourselves. Well done to all who work there including those behind the scenes.

Visiting the area house hunting. The hotel was perfectly located to get around. Very comfortable room, warm and very well appointed. Breakfast was excellent, and the evening meals too. Unfortunately the Sunday roast was disappointing, but all in all the food was good. The staff were excellent, efficient and friendly. Special mention to Sasha in the restaurant, who went above and beyond to provide great service, especially when the Wi-Fi failed and our order was lost. Thankyou all.

I recently stayed overnight here with my sister . If only the hotel had responded to my emails instead of ignoring me ! The Saturday night was really good and we had a lovely meal served by a very nice young girl ! But on Sunday morning when we got up there was not a drop of water in our room ! We were told you’ll have to come over to main building for toilet ! So no toilet no shower no cup of tea etc . No point hanging around so came over for breakfast expecting to be served a freshly good breakfast with lots of choices - not so ! It was a chaos busy service not very well organised things kept running out and the only bread was white cheap bread ( which kept running out ! ) So not what we had paid for and not we were expecting ! Receptionist said they would be in touch with people ! Not a word ! I wrote an email which said they would respond within 48 hours ! Not a word so I wrote another one saying how disappointed I was and upset to be ignored and that after the third time of being asked I was going to post a review . All I heard was it is not our fault water went off and breakfast had to be changed because they were full ! Not good enough I’m afraid and not the way to run a business by ignoring issues .

Slept well despite the mattress and pillows being very firm. Thought the full English breakfast was overpriced for what you got (1 sausage, 2 rashers of bacon, half a tomato, half a mushroom, 1 hash brown, 1 small slice of black pudding and 1 egg). Also the plates were cold.

We stayed here one night while visiting friends. Easy check in and friendly staff, the superior courtyard room was well equipped,clean and modern. I found the bed firm which was uncomfortable for me as I prefer a softer mattress. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and freshly cooked, delicious 😋 would recommend.

What an amazing place to stay and in beautiful surroundings. The rooms were very large, clean, well furnished and had everything you needed to relax including coffee and tea making facilities. All the staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. Lovely bar, great food for dinner and breakfast. Can't rate this place enough and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Thank you to everyone involved at Park Head Hotel.
