Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Fulton - Rockport

We were comfortable and room was clean, overall it was nice. The downside, housekeeping did not come by, as I was told they would, our whole stay. We arrived to find two towels and one washcloth, we were a family of five. I had requested more towels that never came. The pool was closed, my kiddos were disappointed. The best feature was the location! The hotel is close to Rockport Beach, grocery stores, restaurants, etc

Love this place guna stay again forsure it feels like home. The pool was great BBQ area was awesome overall 10 in my opinion

Stayed 2 nights with grandkids. Ac was cold and comfortable. Beds were good and comfy. Not enough towels but had some of our own . Kids enjoyed the pool. Friendly staff . Enjoyed the grounds . Quiet , hardly any disturbance. We were staying only 1 night but wanted to stay extra night and got a great rate for one more night. Which was good for us so we were able to do more fun stuff . Enjoyed breakfast but had to be there 6 to 9

Check in was great, but the room was another story. When we entered the room, we noticed two coaches laying on their backs. A room for five should have more than two bath towels and at least one bath mat for the floor. The size of the television was to small for the room size. Noise level after ten not in force at all. Need to spend more on the upkeep of the rooms instead of the courtyard which was nice.

First off let me say the ladies here were wonderful! They were super friendly and the breakfast they provided was very good with pretty good options. They have three different cereal types, waffles (two self served waffle machines), eggs, bacon, and toast. Our room was okay. We did have a couple of dead roaches that greeted us, no big deal. But it could have been a little better. What I thought made the property not so great was all the rotted wood on the stairs. As we were going up, you could see where parts of the wood were really really bad. Even one of the beams was super loose and was shaking when someone accidentally hit it with their bag. I was super nervous to have the car under there. It wasn't horrible, but it could use some improvements.

The Manager at night was very helpful. He gave me towels that the staff forgot to put in room. The pool was great!

This is not directed at the staff. They are good, hardworking people. The hotel room was basic, but dilapidated. Parking was fine. Everything that was metal was rusted, e.g. the fridge hinges, the lamps, fixtures, etc. The bed was clean and good. The A/C was cold, but didn't get the moisture of of the air, likely leading to the rust, so the air was cold but moist. The door sagged badly, but amazingly didn't stick. The two worst issues that really need to be addressed are: 1. The shower tub is a death trap. There are no grips or rails actually IN the tub. There was one outside the tub. What's worse is that there are no anti-slip protections on the tub bottom. No stickers. No mat. So it's extremely slippery. This might explain the ripped shower curtain. I suspect someone slipped and grabbed it on the way down. 2. The tub faucet came off.

I booked this hotel super last minute and they were kind enough to let me check in around 6am with no problem at all. The family who runs it is very polite and welcoming you can tell they really care about their guests. The outside area is beautiful, and the pool was surprisingly nice and well kept. For only about $63, it was an amazing value. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area!

It is not clean. The first room smelled terribly of cigarette smoke and the second one was ok upon first glance, but unsanitary beyond the surface. The refrigerator is rusty, the toilet seat needs to be replaced, there was not a mattress cover on one of the beds and the other one was stained. The sheets were not clean, the pillows did not have covers and there was someone’s hair on one of them. The person at the desk tried to accommodate me but the entire property is quite unclean and I did not feel comfortable in staying there and requested a refund and chose to stay someplace else. I have not yet received a refund.

The place was extremely filthy. It smelled like mold. The main light did not work. The place was very rundown. Do not be fooled by the pictures and other reviews. Didn’t even last 5 minutes in the room, that’s how terrible it was.

Worst hotel nasty mold everywhere, refrigerator leaked, door didnt want to lock , blood stains on the sheets. Ac didnt work good

We booked a room for 5 people(2 adults and 3 kids). We only had 2 towels for the shower. We did not have pillows, blankets or sheets for the couch bed. Found empty beer bottles in our room at check in. Dead roaches on the floor of the bathroom by the sink. A lot of little things need to be addressed including mattresses.

The room was ok, not real clean, thin towels, coffee maker broken.

I would not recommend this property, it was dirty and not clean. The bathroom light didn’t work I told the front desk,we were there for 3 nights and never got fixed, they didnt even have enough pillows for our room. It was dirty and plain nasty. I will never stay here again. Roaches everywhere! Don’t waste your money you will be very disappointed!

I usually don't post about hotel stays unless its necessary, but this stay was not a good one, multiple issues and I will not be staying at this location again. First the pictures that are shown on the site is not what the room looks like The room that we had was ok for its size which is good but there was a black mold issue that had myself and families allergies flared the whole time and it was only when we were at the hotel is when our allergies would start up, the indoor a/c unit and window curtains had mold in/on them, my wife woke up at 2am to use the restroom to find a roach on the restroom floor unfortunately. If there was a fire in this building the chances of knowing would be last minute due to no smoke detectors in the room just wires, im pretty sure this is a fire code violation, for the amount of people in the room we didn't have enough towels and had to keep requesting more towels, the breakfast was very mediocre and I wouldn't call it a breakfast, if you are staying just for a overnight stop maybe ideal but wouldn't recommend any longer than that.

The room was very dirty!! Bed wasn’t made , trash under bed and in trash can . Used soap bar left in restroom along with body hair in the bath tub. Sofa was ripped up and put together with tons of safety pins , not good when you have children. Room spent like smoke even though it was a no smoking room. Curtains falling off the wall hung by a string . Over all very very dirty, didn’t want to sleep there so we told the front office and the refused to give us a refund . I WILL NEVER RETURN THERE !

The room had a horrible odor. It smelled like water damage. I know the town was wiped out a few years ago, but it was still there. Roaches and ants. Floor was gritty. Dead bolt didn’t line up with hole. I let the front desk know and they didn’t take any action to try to fix it. They weren’t worried about it at all. I asked for another room but was denied. Lighting in room was horrible. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was great. I hate to leave such a bad review after having such a friendly dealing with the staff, but there was nothing good about the room. On a scale of 1-10 I’d probably rate the cleanliness of the room a 1.

Nx door Parking extremely close to window. Thin walls. Hear all noise nx door. Left a day early but yet paid for 2 days. Dont recommend to friends....

We’ve stayed once before this. The previous stay was impromptu & seemed completely different than this stay which was planned and booked months in advance. We were put in the very back of the property, the wifi didn’t even reach out there. We received 2 towels and 1 wash cloth for a registered family of FIVE. When we asked for more towels the next morning and were told the cleaning crew would come by and leave towels. We never did get that. We went back and asked for towels and when asked for wash cloths we were told they were out. The room itself was just not kept up with. The handle on the front door from the outside was broken/loose, the security latch on the inside was broken OFF. The paint on the ceiling was peeling off. The TV stand where the mini fridge was , had the “wood”completely scraped off. The drawers didn’t close all the way. The beds were so uncomfortable. The curtain was directly above the AC and would cover it preventing the room to cool plus had a half of a sheer curtain behind it so we couldn’t open it otherwise people from the pool could see straight in to our room. The shower would make a high pitch noise when put warm so we had to take lukewarm showers to prevent the noise. Plus the shower faucet was not connected inside of the wall and would move side to side. The rod was missing the covers exposing the ends. And last but not least we asked about pets and were told it was a pet friendly property but were not told about the fee until we arrived.

The room was clean but the bed was not comfortable. The neighbors were loud and kept me up most of the night. The walls are super thin. The bed didn’t have enough pillows for two people. Overall not great.

Rooms are spacious

The outside was cute and the people were friendly. It was a quiet Saturday night. But the ac didn’t cool the room enough and the bed was very uncomfortable! We both woke up sore. Tue shower didn’t spray right and was more like washing under a water hose than a shower.

It was a great value staying here with a family of 5. The breakfast was free and it was pretty good. My only complaint was the bed and pillows; they weren't comfortable, the fold out sofa was better. I would come back and stay, I would just make sure to bring a matress topper and pillows.

First room: safety hasp broken on door, dog food on floor, no remote control, and in the morning i walked into a puddle under the bathroom sink bc of a leak. Second room: bigger, tv not working, dirty, had to have them move a refrigerator and a microwave to fulfill the type of room we had purchased. Staff here is super friendly and hard working. They can't do too much because of the owner, and i was told flat out that the owner NEVER allows refunds. I stayed here in 2016 and it was amazing. These new owners are horrible, but if you do stay, please be nice to the staff; it's not their fault.

If you can book somewhere else, do so. I recommend the Holiday Inn express 7 mins down the street. This place is horrible, management is horrible, just horrible all the way around. I have been trying to resolve a refund with this place since June 30th but evidently no one answers the phone during the day and at night they just tell you, the manager that can approves the refund is not available. But I see they responded a week ago to a review on here but cant answer the phones. I checked in and 5 minutes later checked out. The people next to us were so loud during intimate time, there was a huge hole in the wall, there was no dead bolt lock on door, room smelled mildewy, and there was a beg bug on one of the bed so that’s why I checked out. Do not book this place. I took a chance because despite the bad reviews there were some good ones. and even tho I didn’t stay they are still refusing a refund despite how gross the room was and me finding a bed bug. Just nastiest place

The staff was helpful and friendly

This place literally had big giant roaches that scared my poor grandkids. We killed 2. Also was not accommodating. We had rented online two rooms for three adults and seven children, and they separated our rooms. My room would have the kids was on the opposite side of the rest of my family. We asked to please put us next to each other, but they did not accommodate that and they said that I did not tell them that when I booked it. But I’ve never had to tell any hotel to put my room side-by-side. Whenever I book 2 rooms they are always side-by-side. They had a chair in our room that looked like it had been there 20 years and never once cleaned. It was pretty disgusting. I had to throw a blanket over the chair so that we could at least sit on it. I was not happy with this place. I will never go here or recommend this place. I was very very disappointed and the most disappointing part was when we tried to ask them to at least put a side-by-side. They were not having it.

About two weeks before our reservation I decided to confirm that all was well by calling Hotels.com. The agent at Hotels.com stated that the reservation was good for August 14 and 15th. I stated no, dates were 15 and 16. Was told to call Econo Lodge to see what happened. The lady at the Econo Lodge said that the matter was out of her hands. That I had to call Hotels.com. I did again and was told that the General Manager of the hotel determines whether to issue a refund or not and would send him an email. The General Manager responded with a no stating a no refund policy. I was never told about the refund policy and I have no documentation. Further, this was NOT a simple request for a refund as Econo Hotel booked the wrong days booking 14 and 15 versus 15 and 16. Based on this mistake alone made by someone at the Econo Lodge constitutes grounds for a refund. If a refund is not made expectadishly I intend to pursue this with Texas Attorney General for fraud, Expedia for failing to oversee their properties under their reservation system. And hit social media on what happened and not to use Expedia, Hotels.com or Econo Lodge in Rock Port, Tx. I expect to hear a positive response with a refund by no later than the 21st of August, 2025. We have been staying here every year when we visit Rockport Beach , we love it! It’s not fancy but we always feel very comfortable.

Clean,very cold air conditioner,and very close to Walmart and HEB.

Our stay in Austin at Drury was great as always . The Econo in Fulton /Rockport was directly across the street from our venue to see Chad Prather and Jesse Payton at the airport . The beach was 10 minutes away and had to choose which place to have a boil and some oysters on the way back to room . We chose the Biling Pot .

We came to go to Rockport Beach. We had never stayed there before really enjoyed our stay very convenient because anything you need is nearby such as Walmart and H-E-B and the beach. Also, the pool is kept very nice and clean friendly staff.

Clean, comfortable, great price and right near the venue my band was playing at!

At breakfast I heard people saying that "we always stay here" meaning that the property has been around for a while and has built up a following. I would certainly stay there again. While some of the newer places have shinier chrome and a workout room, this is simply a good place to rest for the night.

Stayed on a day trip to Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. Decent price and clean room, but found out next morning that the door could be opened without the key card. Overall was a good stay.

It was good stay. We have used them before and honestly if you want to be close to fishing in Fulton beach it’s close by not to mention if you want to go to port a it’s 25 mins from be sure to go early for ferry

The other hotels prices jumped really high for the weekend. This one didn't, which meant that we got to stay two more nights. My husband really enjoyed the breakfast on the weekend here.

The property is reasonably clean and functional but pretty bare bones, especially the "breakfast". Breakfast is "custom" cooked by a staff member, but is really limited in choice and apparently the menu never changes. Choose pancakes / eggs / sausage or bacon, or toast / eggs / sausage or bacon. Orange juice and coffee. That\'s about it. And both mornings out of butter for toast or pancakes. Remote didn\'t work in room and they had trouble replacing it. But overall functional if all you\'re looking for is a place to sleep.

The staff were great. The rooms were clean. The complimentary breakfast was great. The only thing partially neg would have been our neighbors barking dog. Which was quickly resolved. Over price and location great..

Really really limited breakfast

Contrary to many other reviews, we found our room to be clean and easy to access. It looked as if it had been recently painted and had new flooring. The contental breakfast was straight forward contental- cereal, toast, and freshly (self-made) waffles. Coffee, water, and juices available. Ended up being a quick spot to stay at and was good for the price.

For the price, the pool and the breakfast were pretty good, better than other hotels with the same prices.

It was great for the price and availability. Well located also. My only complaint is the breakfast option. They had eggs and bacon the first morning, but the second day there was no sugar free options, bread, cereal, and waffles only. I’m pregnant and have gestational diabetes so this was disappointing.

The property wasn’t exactly dirty, but it wasn’t really very clean either. I realize it’s a budget hotel, but the quality of the beds and bedding were very poor. They did provide a fair quality hot breakfast though.
