The hotel is next to a beautiful river set in lovely gardens. The rooms were clean and large with very nice furniture and plenty of clothing space. Breakfast was excellent and the location was within easy walking distance to the town. The staff were very friendly. Couldnt fault a thing

Beautiful hotel, with wide open spaces to walk your dogs off lead and only a short walk from the centre.the grounds are stunning. We paid extra for the riverside view which was spectacular, however I think the room itself needs some updating. The balcony was shabby, the table and chairs rusty, the bed was lovely big and comfy and clean, bedside lamps very cheap and didn’t say 4 star, same with the refreshment caddy and bathroom, some updating needed but overall I would absolutely stay again. It’s worth it for the views.

The staff were excellent - friendly and super helpful. The dinner was superb - everything was perfectly cooked. The grounds around the hotel are lovely - next to a river and surrounded by trees. The outside terrace was also great for an aperitif with a relaxing view. As always, there are a few things that could be improved - the bedcover was old and worn, some bathroom floor tiles were uneven and cracked and the balcony needed cleaning. Overall we enjoyed our overnight stay and would recommend it.

My stay at Craig-y-Dderwen Riverside Hotel was absolutely wonderful. The setting alone makes it special - nestled right along the river, surrounded by beautiful scenery that immediately makes you slow down and relax. In the evenings I opened my window to hear the sound of the river flowing by. It was incredible peaceful. The staff was genuinely warm and welcoming. They happily shared hiking recommendations, and one evening when I went down for a glass of wine, a staff member encouraged me to sit by the fire with my book instead of going back to my room. He kept adding logs to the fire while I read and enjoyed my wine - such a cozy touch! The food was also delicious! It was truly one of the most relaxing stays I've had in a long time. I would return in a heartbeat.
