Pros: Great location, very handy to the train station and the stadium. Friendly, helpful staff. Good sized room, comfortable bed. Cons: One elevator was broken, and the other was overworked due to lots of guests needing it on a busy weekend. It didn't help that it kept stopping at floors where it was not summoned, resulting in long waits to get to and from your room. Bathroom floor flooded every time I had a shower - it was a wet shower- I had to put a towel by the door so that the water didn't reach the carpet in the main room. The hotel did have a general shabbiness to it in places - paint peeling etc. Overall: I was a bit underwhelmed for the money they were charging, especially with the lift situation (the stairs weren't even conveniently placed), but considering pricing of alternative hotels in the area, this is still a decent choice. It's great to go from an event at the stadium to your hotel with just a 5 minute walk, and the train station is only a 10 minute walk too.

Was good but very disappointed that only 1 lift out of 2 were working on such an extremely busy weekend NRL Grand Final which made it very slow trying to get up and down from room to the floor level

They had the incorrect room configuration booked and advised it was a Wotif glitch and advised Wotif had allocated a different room to the one I had booked based on number of people in the room. Wotif still showed the correct room booking and configuration and I showed them. Luckily they had a correct room to change us to. Only one lift was working which made it a super long wait with a major event on. Fire stair access was also limited which should have been considered with a broken lift.

Whilst the hotel is convenient when travelling to Sydney Olympic Park for events, the property does not have enough parking to accommodate one car for each room. Hotel had no water on any floor. The line up to the two lifts went out the lobby and down the street. Check in took over an hour. I booked through Expedia and demanded a refund due to no water and not even stating the night (we checked in and out within 30 minutes) and they told me they could not refund due to booking with Expedia! Be very aware!!!

Great location but very poor communication from hotel. I was told I had booked parking but a day before my stay I was told I didn’t, tried ringing, emailing several times, left messages but never heard back. In the end I decided not to drive as I didn’t know if parking was guaranteed. I don’t understand how a hotel does not answer their phone, the lack of communication was very disappointing.

Came back from the show we were watching to find cockroaches crawling over our clean clothes and the toothbrush I had sat on the sink. The single bunk bed above the double we had to make ourselves and the sheets left us itching and sneezing all night. Not to mention the mould on the curtain and inside the aircon. Would have had a better night sleep in the backseat of my car…..

The room was dirty, the floors in the room and outside need a serious clean, the matresses were too small for the bed, the amount of dust on the beds and on the air conditioner are a health hazard.. the hallway floors dont look like they have been cleaned in years. The toilet was not even flushed when we arrived. I wish i took photos to show everyone. The staff were not easily approachable, i paid way too much too stay here, the amount i paid was not budget at 400 a night.. absolutely disgusting and pathetic. I had no choice but to stay as there was nowhere else available. A full refund would be nice!

We stayed here for one night 1 adult and 2 children, due to its proximity to Olympic stadium, for the room we paid direct over $700.00. The room was disgusting, with Snot smeared on the wall, blood marks on the wall, and lights in main bed unable to work. The room was ULTRA SMALL. I provided this feedback to reception and they offered a complimentary continental breakfast which was nice, however the unhygienic nature of this room and for the price, i will never recommend this hotel to any person ever, i have photographs of the walls and condition. Do not stay at this property. On arrival there was no one at front desk. I called the mobile number left but no one answered. It took 20 minutes before someone showed up. The carpets were filthy. The blinds were broken and wouldn't close properly. The doona looked dirty and probably never washed. The shower head was broken and wouldn't let out a steady stream of water. I cannot believe Ibis are willing to have their name on this property.

Great location to the stadiums at a reasonable price. Good dining options within walking distance. Room could have been a bit cleaner, there were clumps of black hair in the beds and I felt very itchy as soon as i got into the bed.

The rooms have seen better days. My room had a broken shower door, bed bugs that were biting at night and I had blood marks on myself and the sheets, no pillow cases and the pillows were old and stained. It had a more hostel feel but with premium prices due to location. I wouldn't stay there again. Id spend the extra to go stay at the nicer hotels in the area.

It is fine for what it was. I would not stay at the Ibis Budget Sydney Olympic Park again. The breakfast was ok. I noticed black Mold in the corner of the room behind the door. The cleanliness of the room was poor.

Only stayed here because everywhere else in area booked out. Very stinky drain outside shower area in room. I poured 10 or so kettles full of water down it, and this eliminated the odour after some time. Stale, horrible smell.... Carpets were filthy, mould in sink around drain, and in shower. Only stay in you really need to....

I know its a budget hotel but that doesn't mean it needs to feel like your paying by the hour. One of the lifts wasn't working so you could be waiting upwards of 5 mins to use the lift especially when everyone was coming and going from the concert. The sheets weren't even properly secured to the mattress so rolling around at night the sheets would roll up and bunch. And there was no exhaust fan in the toilet room which made it feel super tiny and made the room unpleasant after using the toilet. The only saving grace for me was simply how close to the arena it is.

the room was extremely musky . - there are no windows to get any fresh air and the air-conditioner spewed out who knows as it was old and not maintained. When you have a shower there is no ventilation in the room so the closed window fills up with condensation to the point the window is dripping - hence the reason for a mouldy smell when you walk in I could except this if its a budget price but it was extremely expensive for what the room was. Very disappointed with the condition of the hotel.

I'd definitely recommend the hotel if you're just staying for a night or two. And breakfast was worth the extra $13. My only complaints would be that it's a bit cramped and that the TV needs to be updated as I wasn't able to access any streaming services, nor did it have all the available free TV channels.

Staff were competent. The room was small, even cramped with a tiny shower and small toilet separated by only a curtain from the beds. The fridge made an irritating noise until it was turned off. It was all rather like a third rate motel, to be honest, but at a premium price. ($185 for one night) A woman in the lift was justifiably angry as her room (which was practically identical to mine) was over $400 for the night. Ouch!!

Booked for State of Origin night (July) in November and received a call 4 days prior to my booking asking about payment, at which time I confirmed that parking was available, to which I was told no, that had to be booked in advance and was booked out. I received no communication to state that despite booking 9 months in advance, and was told was only communicated to people booking on the Accor website. Staff were wholly unhelpful, and tried to contact the hotel for over 24 hours after the initial phone call, and no one would ever answer the phone. Was just told to book parking within the precinct, which, as I stated to them many times, was booked out. The real kicker was the day before my reservation receiving an automated email saying 'parking is unable to be booked in advance'! Clearly here unless you book directly with them you are a second class citizen. Maybe they should remember what kind of hotel they are! The room itself was small as expected, the cobweb from the ceiling and the mould on the blinds were nice touches though

For check-in, a huge line-up! There were two people working at the reception counter when we came in & then for the next 25 mins, just the one person. This was around 3pm (check-in is from 2pm) so wasn't anywhere near peak time. Got into room at about 3:40pm. Didn't seem to be any urgency to clear the line-up. No power in all double power points, TV, Bedside light & fridge in room except for aircon & main light. Had to go out 35 mins later to go to tennis & wouldn't be back until after midnight. Advised reception on our way out to the tennis (had to give room key-card back). When returned in the early hours of the morning, the young lady had no idea (wasn't in any notes or passed on). Also, wasn't aware that the key card had been returned. Had to re-program a new one and gave it to us. We checked power & was resolved. She advised that she was coming up with us but got delayed with the front door, a couple of mins later she came up & advised power issue was resolved. So didn't have to move to another room. Check-out was express by placing key-card in express box on reception counter. At least this time, (stayed there last year), there was the basic toiletries (last year, only had one towel, no soap/body wash, a bottom sheet & doona only (no top sheet)) for two adults. This time was it was for three adults.

I tried for a week to call the hotel and left several messages and noone called me back. When we arrived there was noone at the reception, our door to the room didn't work very well, the tv didn't work. Yes I realise that this is a budget hotel, but you need to have someone to moniter the messages better and have someone onthe reception

The staff were so good. They were juggling so many balls. We went to the School Spectacular. Stayed with IbIs. It was packed with visitors and performers. I will stay again because of them. The room was clean, the shower was hot and the aircon worked. The icing on the cake is the staff. Well done. I look forward to visiting again.

The location for our need was Perfect, Sydney Show Grounds, 4 night stay. We had 2 sales reps, myself + wife. I selected family rooms for the sales and king for myself. I made an error, and should have just picked 3 x family rooms. The family rooms are spacious and you have a longer table for work. The King is smaller and the table is smaller and the single bar fridge takes up the leg space, you have no table to work off, luckily you can work in the breakfast area. The major problem was the king bed is broken in the middle, so you just fall to the middle and have to climb out to get out. The hotel was booked out. The front desk staff were fantastic, kind, friendly, and breakfast was just fine for me. Saturday Night cost was triple the cost or the other nights, I thought that quite steep because a monster truck event on that night. We could not change rooms as Saturday night was 100% full.

Staff were friendly. Its close to easter show. Breakfast was good. Rooms small but for 1 night was good. I did ask a staff member a question but they had no idea where it was i needed to go (the easter show) told me it was 40min walk when its actually 2 min u could see it from the motel.

Overnight parking is rich at $35.However, this the going rate for the Olympic site. Breakfast options are poor and sub standard. Otherwise, room clean and tidy. Small, yet value for money.

Being coeliac I contacted hotel prior to stay and advised this is accommodated in their breakfast but it is not and after being told cereal was GF I was violently ill. I told reception staff who responded with the staff member is new and didn’t know…. No offer of a refund for breakfast which is very poor
