From the moment we came in we were greeted by the Bonvoy representative Rica and she was wonderful! She was so friendly and gave us the layout of the hotel and all the restaurants which made the check in a breeze. The view from the room was beautiful also. We had breakfast at Lona and the service was great also. The only thing I would say is that the elevators from the pool to cross over to the beach were not working so that was a bummer but everything else was so nice that we ultimately just didn’t worry about it.

Typical Westin- huge, average rooms,bathroom on the small side.Good location within walking distance to multiple restaurants . Nice beach with chairs available for guests. Biggest disappointment was that the pool was freezing and there was loud construction next to it, which made it impossible swim or relax at the pool, which was what we wanted to do . Great massage at the spa but whirlpool there was also on the cold side. Overall, a disappointing stay .

Nice hotel, nice rooms, comfortable beds, great location. For a daily resort fee over 40 dollars, I don't believe it's right to close the pool for a private party. The one nice day of our stay we were unable to use the pool in the afternoon. The pool was already booked by all the people from cold climates who paid to spend time outside...

Cannot believe how bad this hotel has gotten. It needs a major renovation. The a/c doesn’t work well in the rooms. The water in the shower/tub is yellowish. Bathroom doors broken they barely close. Lady who works in the gift shop is watching movies on her phone as loud as can be and doesn’t even care-never saw that anywhere. Pool is overcrowded because it is too small for the amount of seating they provide. One working elevator that sounds like it’s going to crash. Crazy

Elevator that leads to a skywalk crosses over the busy traffic to the beach, was out of order. The paint job on exterior skywalk starting to fade from sun. Coffee bar in good spot. Availability of fresh water in lobby and other various locations a good idea. It was a pretty good spot. Beach personnel friendly, helpful and paying attention to clients.

We had a wonderful stay at the Westin Beach Resort & Spa in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The view from our room was stunning, with beautiful ocean views that made our mornings special. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The Lona Restaurant offered a fantastic breakfast with great outdoor views of the ocean, which was a definite highlight. The pool area was well-maintained, and the service at the poolside restaurant was excellent. A big plus was the convenient overhead walking tunnel that connects directly to the beach, making access to the sand incredibly easy. The location is also ideal, with restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Plus, having a Starbucks on-site was a nice bonus. However, there were a few drawbacks. The overnight parking fees were steep at $62.06 with tax, and beach chair rentals were an additional cost. While you do get 2 free beach chairs per room, any extra chairs or umbrellas come with a charge. The main issue was that the elevator in the South Building was broken for the entire weekend, causing long wait times for the single functioning elevator. With the hotel being quite full over Memorial Weekend, it meant waiting for long periods and sometimes having to take the stairs. Overall, despite these inconveniences, I would still recommend the hotel for its great service, location, and amenities. I would rate it 4 stars but gave 3 stars for elevator issues.

Property in general was average but upon arrived the air vent in the hall outside our bedroom door was mold infested, there was old water damage over my bed, and one elevator car had issues all weekend to the point it was either off or when it was on it was violently shaking and you could not feel safe in it.

This Westin is getting dated. Our room was not that clean as we found lots of hair during our stay. Asked several times to get fresh towels and have our room made up and didn’t get done. Then after the third day of asking, staff finally brought up towels and bedding for us to do ourselves. Stayed at Westin hotels previously and are much nicer and better kept. This one is below the standard for sure.

Our stay at the Westin was disappointing. Upon opening the refrigerator in our room, we found stale food left over from a previous guest, and the unpleasant smell quickly spread throughout the room. We informed the reception and asked for it to be cleaned while we were out for dinner. Although the receptionist apologized and assured us it would be taken care of, we returned to find the issue unresolved, with the odor lingering. Frustrated, we went back to the reception and requested the cleaning again, staying there this time until it was finally addressed. The receptionist apologized again and promised to waive the resort fee for the night as compensation. However, when we received the bill, the resort fee was still charged. This lack of follow-through and attention to detail was extremely disappointing, especially from a brand like Westin, where we expected a higher standard of service and customer care.

First, let me say the staff is absolutely amazing. Very courteous & accommodating to the best of their ability. However, the property is just AWFUL. When I arrived the entire 5th floor smelled like old mop water & mold. The room was suffocating with that smell. I lasted approx 5mins thinking I could air the room out before I called the front desk. The front desk moved me to the south tower, although the smell wasn’t as pungent- it was still there in the hallways ( not the room this time, so I’m sure housekeeping did a check before I made it all the way over there). This room however, was filled with mold, dust, watermarks & all the above. It was very inconvenient to come off a flight to go to a room, wanting to relax, just to have to change it & the 2nd room be a freaking dump! The spa was under construction (credit to spa for your next visit AS IF), the bridge to the beach closes at 7:30pm. Overall, the key features I booked for weren’t even available as I thought they would be & the rooms were horrible. Corporate needs to stop booking all these rooms & close down the ones in this condition to renovate!

The hotel was ok, the bathroom in the room was dirty, the shower head was clogged, the toilet was dirty. The floor in the room was dirty. You can tell it had not been cleaned in a while. We booked ocean view which was beautiful. The Mexican restaurant is great.

Great location with nice amenities. The hotel is older and could be cleaner. A large hold was placed on my card at check-in, but it wasn’t clearly explained. Front desk staff were kind, though some of the other staff seemed a bit bothered.

All staff was super nice & polite. The entire place was clean. 1/3 elevators were down due to renovations. I’m not sure how full my floor was but I never heard any noise from any other rooms. My room had an ocean view. The front of the hotel has mock balconies but you can still open the sliding door. It was too humid to keep it open for more than a few pictures of the water. You can hear the waves crashing from the room. I’d definitely stay here again.

The restaurants at the resort were great! The service was always wonderful! The fitness center had a variety of things and was very clean. Beach access with chairs were convenient. I enjoyed the resort, but I had several issues with the shower. There was little water pressure and very little hot water. Our view was of the parking garage. It was difficult to sleep at night due to the noise. I did enjoy most of the stay, but I wouldn’t book a room here in the future.

I have stayed a few times in the north tower and really liked my stays. This time I was in the south tower and the room was fine except the water pressure in the shower was extremely poor to the point that it made it difficult to shower. I know they were doing some maintenance on the water lines over the nights while I was there so hopefully this would fix this problem as othwerwise the stay was fine

It’s a Westin so you know it’s going to be nice. We spent four nights. If you want to be right on Ft Lauderdale beach it’s a good choice. They have a walkway from the pool over the street to the beach which is nice. The one thing I did not like is the bathroom had a louvred sliding barn style door and a window into the room with louvered shutters - so there is absolutely no privacy in the toilet.

It was a good stay for a weekend getaway. the valet parking was a surprise $55 each night. I knew there was a resorts fee but not parking. Another that was miss leading was we wanted a balcony with a ocean view. We got a room with a sliding glass door and a railing. We enjoy sitting on a balcony and looking at the ocean. And we didn't get that!!

1st night. Room wasn't ready at check in time. Phone didnt work when finally got to the room. Waited in room for engineer and phone still not working after engineer came to try to fix it. 1 hour wasted of vacation. Paid for ocean front room and cruise ship right in front of room and anothe one one coming so limited view and no option was given to make sure this wasnt the case and I paid top dollar! and went to get ice but no bag for ice. They brought bags up about an hour later but didnt tell us where ice was. Had to go to other floors to find it and no signs anywhere. More wasted time Since phone wasnt fixed even though we waited for we engineer instead of enjoying our time, They wanted to send engineer to fix phone 1st thing the next morning?! Im on vacation. I dont want to be woken up on the weekend on vacation for them to fix my phone that should have been workin in a room I've paid approximately $500 per night for When we got back to hotel after exploring I told front desk girl to please make sure no one came to the room in the morning and the hotel attendant was rude and said "then put your do not disturn sign on your door" duh... but i had been getting texts throughout the evening saying that they were going to send someone 1st thing in the morning!.. very very frustrating and for the money I spent (over 2K) I expected more.and this is only the first night of 3 ;(

Property was nice, staff would not bend over backwards to help you. Being that you're coming in either renting a car or driving in on your own there's no option for self Park and They charge $55 a day for regular paying customers, including people staying at the hotel and paying customers to the resort for dinner the same rate. If you were a Marriott platinum member, they would give you the parking for $35 but not if you're not at that level totally absurd will never stay there again. And I am a platinum member with Marriott. And they would not lower my rate from $55 to 35 like others in our group. They also gave breakfast vouchers to other platinum members of my group, and some of us that are platinum members did not get the same treatment. Spoke to the managers, including Heimi He was no help at all.

Shout out to Jasmine at the front for a great attitude when some "others" were rudely trying to check in. Not exactly sure why people feel entitled -- but Jasmine took it in stride with a smile and professionalism. Fine hotel and accomadations on the beach

Please note that if you park a car, you will be charged significantly for parking. On top of the resort fees, this adds a considerable amount to your nightly rate. The rooms were very modern, but small. The hotel is quite large. There are plenty of dining options on-site and nearby. This hotel is located on a very popular stretch of Fort Lauderdale beach with lots of shopping. Beach is across a very busy street. Be aware, cars rarely stop for crosswalks. The Westin does offer a pedestrian bridge from the hotel to the beach, which is nice.

The Westin is a bequtiful resort. We LOVED our oceafront room! We enjoyed everything from the breakfast at Lona restaurant to the bicycles, proximity to the beach and airport. Excellent!

The Westin is an excellent beachside hotel with easy access to the beach right off the pool deck via a pedestrian bridge. The pool bar and restaurant served great drinks and excellent pool-side foods. The partial ocean-view room was clean and well-maintained. We had a great view straight along the beach and overlooked the pool from the South building. Also has one of the best restaurants in Fort Lauderdale (Lola).

The hotel was very clean and has a great location. The walkway to the beach was very convenient. We loved the restaurant that is a part of the hotel. The wait staff was wonderful and accomodating. We especially appreciate one of our waiters named Nelson. However, we paid a decent amount of money for the room and had an awful view. In fact, our view was of the roof through a small, dirty window. Online it says the windows stretch floor to ceiling. This was definitely not the case. See attached picture.

We had an excellent stay, and loved almost every aspect of the hotel. The location is perfect, as we could walk to many restaurants and stores.The only thing we\'d do different would be to buy our own spirits and mixers, and just bring a cup down from the room. The $15 cocktails were a bit pricey for their quality, but that is "tourist trap" nitpicking. The food at Lona was exceptional. Get up early to reserve chairs poolside to guarantee a spot. The steak tacos were delicious. We will be returning.

Hotel hospitality was excellent beginning at check- in. The dining and food at The Wave restaurant and Lona was excellent. Servers at the pool were so attentive. The location was perfect as it was walkable to places but also far enough from the noise of the themed restaurants further up. We also enjoyed the convenient connection to the beach using the bridge. The bathroom needed a little maintenance as the ceiling was peeling due to the humidity but other than that the room was clean, spacious and had a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again as well as recommend it to others. Thank you.
