Voyager Resort Inn

We were visiting family who is staying in their RV at Voyager for 3 months. It was great to be able to stay on site and enjoy the amenities with them. The hotel wifi did not work in our room (it worked in other common areas). There was a couple water issues during our stay buckets were provided we were off site exploring the area most of the day so it didn’t affect us that much. We enjoyed the pools, lounge chairs hot tubs and saunas.

I missed the information stating it was a 55 community and they come first. Went to visit my son, took his brother that’s 16. We’re always respectful of others but going to the pool and using the amenities was difficult because the residents take priority. I understand why but I would have looked elsewhere had I known. Too many restrictions on “guests” I wonder why they allow people to even stay there if they don’t have family living on the property.

Beautiful place so relaxing pools where amazing

Upon our arrival at the property, we were faced with a water shutdown, which was a significant inconvenience. What was more disappointing was the lack of consideration for our comfort, as we were not even asked if we still wanted to stay. Despite this, the property managed to have water available on Saturday and Sunday, leaving us without basic amenities on Friday and Monday.

Wonderful place to play pickleball and enjoy the three pools and two jacuzzis!

The water was turned off 1 of our 3 days. Also the toilet seat was broken. If not for this i would rate it very good.

Nice hotel in the middle of an RV community. Room was nice as well as the pool area. The on-site restaurant/bar was good as well as the convenience store.

I've stayed at Voyager a few times and I really like it. The rooms are clean and spacious. The fitness center, pools, and spas are all very nice. People are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant and convenience store onsite are a nice addition. Close to I-10 with easy access to Tucson attractions. It's a nice hotel at a reasonable price!

After I booked this room i read a review talking about the after hours checkin process. This is a large property that includes homes, RVs and a small hotel. The office for the hotel closes early. When the office is closed you check in at the front gate, which is what we did. Gary at the gate was very friendly and helpful. Our room was ultra clean and seemed as if it had been newly refreshed (updated). On the property there are loads of amenities: both an indoor and outdoor pool with a huge spa, tennis and pickleball courts, golf and more. Directly across from the hotel is "Fat Willy's" a very friendly local bar and restaurant. We were there on "Trivia" night and the bar was filled with locals who obviously make this a weekly event. The food was pretty good. Drinks were good and prices reasonable. We will definitely come back if our plans bring us to this area again. The air conditioning was okay, we didn't need much and the fan seemed to shut off after a while. Room was immaculate.

The stay was good for the price charged. They do not clean the rooms until you leave. They do come by every third day and empty the trash and exchange the towels. I would definitely stay there again. There are a lot amenities that we did not have the time to enjoy.

The carpet was filthy with stains. The tub drain was clogged The entrance door had a huge gap on the bottom open to aur and bugs The top civer blanket smelled and was very old The formica on the bathroom counter was delaminating and alsmot cut my hand open The Toilet was loose The refrigerator froze most all of our vegetables and the door was on backwards. This building has no service at all if needed to unclogg the drain in the tub. Old and very poorly maintained. I told the management and they have not responded.

The room was quiet and clean. The heating unit was very effective. I requested a walk in shower which was clean and ample hot water. Jody at front deask was friendly and answered all my questions and gave me directions.

Staff was very polite and helpful. Facility was up kept and really pretty. Room was standard but comfortable and had a nice view. It was super helpful having Fat Willy’s in the same parking lot.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It is one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at in the past couple of years. The hotel staff were very friendly. The pool and jacuzzi area were well maintained. The restaurant on site had very good food and excellent service. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

It was odd to book a room, my keys handed to me by a security guard at the gate, and then never seeing or hearing from a single staff person. There was no cleaning service in between days. The hotel is in the middle of an RV park. If you haven’t been there before, it’s hard to find. Once I was able to view the area, I felt like I had been whisked back to a Midwest retirement park. Having a store and restaurant in the middle of this community was a pleasant surprise. All in all, I enjoyed the privacy. The room was clean and quiet. The security guard was super friendly and helpful.

The hotel room was spare, but clean and comfortable. It was quiet. The setting was nice. Only complaint is lack of wifi service in the room. We had connectivity in the hotel lobby but neither our laptops nor phones had service on the room itself.

Great beds, safe and peaceful location. Only issue was that their Wi-Fi wasn't working whatsoever and that put me in several awkward positions when I needed to work or connect with family. Fix the Wi-Fi issue and it would be 10/10

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the internet didn't work at all, nor did the telephone which prevented me from calling the front office. I noticed that the telephone wire was mashed by the bed frame which may have contributed to the malfunction. It was 6:18 PM when I went to the office to ask about the internet. The office was closed for the day. I've never seen a major hotel fail to staff the front desk; if they do, it's usually for a limited period e.g. midnight to 6 AM. The lack of an internet connection was an annoying inconvenience.

There's too many things to list about the positives of the property. It was very well set up and maintained, with lots of options for everyone. The negative in our room was that the toilet/shower area was so tight, we had to put one foot in the shower to close the door to use the toilet.

The location and amenities were great. The actual room was very dated. Wallpaper pealing off the wall. Carpet we're old and off-putting. Bedding looked like 1980's style. Sunset view across the parking lot was breathtaking.

We had a great stay, we plan to stay here next time we visit. The pools were great and the grounds lovely. The staff was very friendly. The wifi was a bit sketchy, didn't have much luck with it. We do however, all have matching bruises on our legs from the corners of the beds that stick out, lol, maybe think about padding those!

The Good: I would like to say that the staff at the front desk and at the restaurant were all very kind and helpful. Check in was a breeze. The rooms were clean and well kept. For a retirement community with permanent residents that doubles as a resort destination they do a reasonable job of providing a family experience. The Bad: We were awakened from our sleep this morning by people with leaf blowers outside of our window before 8am. *Directly* outside. Not at all how I expect to start my day at a resort. Also, the only sign indicating where exit is located (the complex is pretty big) is very small and easy to miss. If you rely on GPS to help it will endlessly try to send you out a locked gate that says "not an exit." Obviously they can't do anything about GPS, but they could make the signage a bit more obvious. The Ugly: This is where it gets unpleasant. The mattressea don't fit in the bedframes. By a long shot. So the sharp wooden corners of the frames stick out at the end of the beds by where you walk through the rooms, but are covered by sheets so you don't see them. The first time I smashed my leg into the corner of the frame it drew blood. One would hope that would be the end of it, but despite my best efforts both myself and my kids caught our shins/legs/knees repeatedly throughout our stay. The rooms aren't exactly spacious, and even a thoughtful attempt at being careful often resulted in painful outcomes. I would never rent a room here again for that reason.

The staff was very friendly and provided great service. The room was clean and manageable. However, the pillows were small, and the bathroom was a tight squeeze.

Stayed at the hotel there. It was very comfortable and clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

When we arrived we had to wait about 15 minutes by the main gate trying to call someone.. when someone finally responded we were told that there is no available rooms and "we are sorry for inconvenience, call us in the morning to get a refund". Then we were routed to Expedia to get a refund and after bunch of emails we still don't have the refund 4 months later.

Never got my key and was locked out of the gated resort because they had no one at their front desk

I had a wonderful experience at the Voyager Hotel & Resort. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and well cared for. The entire property is beautifully maintained, clean, and peaceful — the perfect place to relax and reset. My room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, with everything I needed for a restful stay. The amenities were impressive, from the pool area to the dining options, and every space felt inviting and relaxing. What stood out the most was the level of service. Every staff member I interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure guests were happy. It made the stay feel personal and memorable. Especially the gate attendant and server in the restaurant. I left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience. I highly recommend Voyager Hotel & Resort to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and excellent hospitality. I would gladly stay here again!

We stay at Voyager while in Tucson because of the security, quiet clean rooms, and great food and drink at the grill.

After checking in, my wife and I noticed that the shower head in the bathroom was not working that great. We notified the office the next day (we checked in after hours) and they replaced it with a new one that same day. We both agreed that this was surprising and we really didn't think anything would happen. It was also nice that they have a restaurant and small convenient store on property for dining and any small items you may have forgotten to pack. The pools were nice and they have plenty of tennis and pickleball courts for fun activities. The exercise room was well equipped and they have laundry facilities on the property. Getting into the downtown Tucson area was nice short drive. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay if you're in the Tucson area.

Second time we've stayed here at the hotel. Clean room. Good restaurant on site. Secured entrance to the property. Late night check in is easy enough. Call the number and a payroll officer arrives promptly with check in packet.

Staff went above and beyond. The manager showed compassion and did everything to make us welcome. Friendly very clean and comfortable. Great facilities. Highly recommend. Thank you so much for a pleasant stay.

It took me a while to get a hold of somebody to find out how to check in after the office was closed every time I called the office. I never got a call back finally reached Gary at the gate. He was wonderful.

This hotel closes the registration desk at 5:00. I’ve never heard of such a thing. As a result, we were not able to check in and had to make alternate reservations

An interesting place as it's a RV/mobile home resort that also has a hotel. But check-in was super easy. Our room was clean, modern and beds were cozy. We were just staying for 1 night, but it was a pleasant stay and a nice area on the outskirts of Tucson. Would stay again if were were in the area.

Pleasant stay- clean room- grounds are beautiful. A little confusing to find.. it is in the middle of an RV resort, we got the keys from the gate guard after asking for directions. Super quiet and pretty facility! Would definitely stay again!

The staff was super friendly and it was clean. I would definitely go back. It’s a little on the outside of town, but I felt safe as we needed a code to get in and it was near the airplane museum.

A little far from downtown

This can be a good budget minded place to stay. The rooms are clean, and basic. Its not the Ritz Carlton but your not paying Ritz money either. The one thing that has been frustrating after staying here twice is the restaurant is difficult to go to as they close at like 7 pm... The cleaning staff had the room clean when we arrived, but it was difficult to get fresh towles and shampoo refilled for.our 3 day stay.

The hostess at the resturant red hair is VERY RUDE two encounters with her. The resturant is independently owned on the property we were not impressed with the resturant. The bar area needs to be open seating biggest complaint we hear.

The Voyager Resort Staff was so friendly and supportive, especially Lisa. The pools were great. We especially enjoyed their on-site restaurant & bar, Fat Willy's. Again, the staff was amazing. Food was good and the overall vibe was fun.

When I saw this online, it did not mention anywhere that this is mainly a huge RV Park. (Over 1500 RV spaces). This is a small hotel in the middle of it. Restaurant is decent but only open until 8PM. The swimming pool and hot tub are very nice and people we met were very social and nice.

None of the information stated when the restaurant closed , so when we arrived we unloaded our bags then went to the restaurant to get a meal. We were there about 5 minutes to 8 and were told that the restaurant was closed for the night. This was not shone in the information provided to us.

We had an amazing experience and can’t wait to return. Our room was spacious and clean with a mini fridge, microwave and plenty of shelf storage. Staff was friendly and helpful. We visited the on-site restaurant, Fat Willy’s, a couple of times. I would not recommend requesting a table on a Monday night. We waited 40 mins. to be seated and then another hour to receive our food. However, the food was good, and we had much better success later in the week when we placed an order in the adjoining convenience store and took the meal back to our room. Please Note: Fat Willy’s is not affiliated with the Voyager Inn, so this comment in no way reflects negatively upon our experience with them. We appreciated the laundry facilities on-site, utilizing them twice during our stay. Although welcome, this facility is not really equipped for children, as it is a 55 and older community, which we appreciated. All the residents we came across were friendly and welcoming. If it wasn’t so hot in AZ during the summer months, we would strongly consider spending more time throughout the year here. We loved the slower, calming pace afforded us during our brief stay. We’ll definitely be back!
