Our stay at The Pelican Beach Resort was enjoyable. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds are small but nice. We appreciated having our own lounge chairs and umbrella in the garden as well as on the beach. The swimming was lovely, very relaxing in both the ocean and in the pool. As for the food, we only ate breakfast there once. It's a nice buffet, but expensive. I guess it's worth it if you're a big eater, but if you just want toast and coffee I wouldn't recommend it. The dinner menu was very expensive so we chose to have dinner elsewhere. The staff are really excellent! Super nice, helpful people at the front desk, staffing the bar, and cleaning the rooms. The downside: we assumed they would have a parking lot and they don't. Your choices are to risk parking on the street, if you can find a spot, or paying to park in their small garage. Also, there are not enough electrical outlets in the room. You can plug in the mini fridge or the TV, but not both at the same time. On the whole, the positives outweighed the negatives by a lot and it's the staff who are the best thing about Pelican Beach.

Reserved area on the beach for hotel guests with sun loungers and umbrella’s at an additional cost. Pool area is very small. More sun loungers on the terrace would be beneficial. One thing to be aware of is that they charge hotel guests for the beach chairs which were 20€ each per day. The ‘gym’ is also outdoors, no air con and the equipment is in bad need of repair. There was one working treadmill, there was a set of 5kg dumbbells and I think a 1-3kg but really poor gym. Staff are super nice, rooms very clean, and the beach is beautiful. You do need a car to get around! And beware, very little on street free parking as the locals park at 7am for the beach! To park in the hotel underground carpark they charge hotel guests 15€ a day (I think this is what we paid) during July.

Wonderful small hotel situated at a nice, white sand beach. Sunbeds and umbrella in the garden was included with the room, which was nice. We spent most days there, but on days with little wind it was a bit hot, and the sunbeds at the beach were more comfortable because of the gentle sea breeze. Hotell staff was very nice and attentive. The main bartender was a star! The hotel restaurant is one of the best in the Olbia area, with a good wine list. Nice amouse bouche before dinner without charge.

We arranged transportation a week in advance as the property indicated. Driver canceled while we were in the air and offered no solution. Property advertises transportation, no one was there to pick us up. Limited lounge chairs for the beach and grass lounge chairs so we were not able to hang out on property and relax. Nice location, clean room and good bay to swim in. Dining room was nice and good food and servers efficient.

Vi bodde på Pelican Beach Resort & SPA i fire dager i juli. Vi bodde i bygget som ligger helt nede ved stranden. Stedet har en herlig avslappet atmosfære. Renholdet er utmerket og personalet veldig hyggelige. Frokosten er utmerket og hagen er nydelig. Du må betale for solsengene på den private stranden (40 EUR per par inkl parasoll), noe som er greit å være klar over. Den offentlige stranden like ved er gratis. Det er ikke mange spisesteder eller butikker like i nærheten, men vi hadde leiebil og kjørte til Olbia eller oppover kysten, og det fungerte veldig fint. Et nydelig sted som vi mer enn gjerne besøker igjen.

Wir waren in der Juniorsuite mit eigener Terrasse im malerischen Strandgebäude untergebracht. Eine Liege mit Sonnenschirm im gepflegten Garten und am Strand sind inklusive. Alles ist sehr gepflegt, das Bad ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber. Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend. Transfer zum Flughafen kostet 40€. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich, qualitativ gehoben, heiße Getränke leider nur aus dem Automaten. Der Capucchino ist insofern nicht vergleichbar mit dem italienischen Standard aus der Siebträgermaschine. Der Strand ist gepflegt und natürlich; es gibt mehrere fussläufig erreichbare weitere Strände.

The hotel is practical to stay because it’s close to the airport. The hotel beach is very small but nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and clean but extremely noisy. Our room was on the first floor and had no window view, only windows to the hall, so we had to keep the curtains closed. People would drag their trolleys since 5 am which was extremely loud. One can hear whatever is happening upstairs because poor isolation. One very good thing is the shower to use in the spa once you’re checked out and spent the day at the beach. That room should have a lock tho.

We had a nice stay and in general all was good. But this is not a 4 star hotel. The normal rooms are to small and the balcony are tiny and very close to the neighbors. Nice resort but our party of 4 were not treated very well when we arrived at the hotel restaurant without a reservation. Put in the corner of another room and ignored for most of the evening. Food was expensive and not very good. Would recommend walking down the street to eat elsewhere. Good walkable location for accessing the beach though.

They wouldn't let us open the umbrella at the beach...front desk didn't believe that we didn't have beach towels...made my husband run to the room twice because they didn't believe us ..so he brought down the shower towels to prove a point. Writing review for others travelers to be “in the know” Hotel needs to be transparent with descriptions & 3rd party sellers. Call in advance to know exactly what hotel room your getting space, view, location, floor, stairs etc., sofa bed, lounge chairs so there are no surprises. Ask for bills as you go. Do not put the bill on the room and pay at the end, you may find surprise costs that were never mentioned. Ask if the spa is included w spa treatments, bc it’s not. Don’t accept anything “on the house” you may get charged for it. Felt Nickel and dimed. No shuttle to the airport. It’s a 40 Euro taxi the front desks calls. There’s not a shuttle to Olbia. It’s public transportation we missed bc we were never informed we needed a face mask. Be careful w hidden language & descriptions. Make a dinner reservation in advance or you may not get to eat. Ask what lounge chairs are included with your stay. Not all amenities are included, you may have to pay extra. Our massage was not good even though we asked for more pressure. Be on top of what your getting & not getting. However, the staff is nice and friendly. They try to accommodate their faults. The booker for excursions is wonderful. But cabs are very expensive to get to them during high season. The bartender is very nice & made great drinks. Although, we felt like we were getting ripped off, hotel hires nice staff to hide behind the lack of transparency. Hotel offered a meal which made up for lack of transparency.

From the moment we arrived, which was late, Selma at reception suggested go to the hotel restaurant eat relax & do check in after. She continued throughout our 8 nights to book restaurants taxis & more. The confusion of the sunbeds is, if you are staying in a suite you have the use of sunbeds & umbrellas in the garden & the beach. If you are in the regular rooms there is a daily charge. Simone was extremely professional & helped us with choice of local wine & couldn’t do enough to make our stay fabulous. The team at reception friendly helpful & happy. The beach man was curteous. Well done Pelican Beach Hotel.

We had a great trip. The hotel was lovely, we were in the pelican villa part on the beach side. The gardens around the hotel and the restaurant were immaculate and the beach was lovely. the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were all very helpful. Probably the only small downside was location. There is a small supermarket near by and a couple of other restaurants that are walkable but other wise you need a car or taxi to get anywhere, taxis are very expensive min 35 euro for a trip into Olbia that is about a 10 min drive away. That said we were happy to stay at the hotel and enjoy the beach and relax. Would stay again.

30 euro charge for umbrella and chair. This is not disclosed when booking. Hotel is dated. Rooms are disgusting. Staff at breakfast is great. Breakfast could be better. Powdered eggs are terrible.
