Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe, A Caesars Destination

Check in was easy, room was nice, but with a few drawbacks. My glassware ( all of it!) was scudgy and not clean. Shower was pretty, but took long for hot h20 to arrive, and not great water pressure. There was construction happening, so no pool or hot tub. Was in town for a friends birthday - we ate at Wolf on site, great food, and staff.

This place is on. They do nickel and dime you for stuff. The parking garage needs an overhaul; the garage elevators smelled funky and at one point the doors didn’t open. All in all it’s not too bad.

The hotel was very clean and so was the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were there for a concert so it was great to have the arena within walking distance. The one and only gripes are that the room did not have body wash and the hot tub was not working. Overall it was a great two day stay

We had a blast. The room was magicificent. The restaurants were impeccable. The pool was pleasant. Can't wait to go back.

The property is 🚧CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION 🚧 on the main lobby & Casino they’re still open however it’s not as pretty.

Clean beds, property under renovation, 35 resort fee and and 25 $ parking Will add 60$ to per day booking. Kind of expensive , jacuzi not working due to renovations

Property was completely under construction loud smelled horrible walking through the casino seemed small and you got lost easily because you had to walk around all these barriers very limited in food. Only one restaurant that we saw was open would not recommend until after construction is complete.

Good location, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, but the property is undergoing major renovations. A good portion of the casino floor was shut down, as well as the hot tub

This hotel is in shambles with reconstruction. I was charged 20.00 for parking even though if I eat a a restaurant in the hotel, you can get fee validated parking. But I was charged at checkin and thus can not get a validation to take it off the bill. The WiFi won’t stream movies, the jacuzzi is out of order. The makeshift hallways are a maze and cold as the roof is open and exposed. There is no option for a sit down breakfast, only a coffee cart? The upcharges were over. 75.00!and the room was 89.00. That’s almost a 100% difference in price. This place is a scam through and through. Everything is an up charge and the property is dirty, unorganized, load dusty and cold.

They were doing contruction on their parking structure which was an inconvenience getting to your car.

The room was amazing, clean, smelt great, and so clean!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

There was a used condom in the trashcan as I entered the room. There was no soap in the soap dispenser in the shower even after I asked for it to be refilled and there was missing cups in the room for coffee.

Beautiful views, easy to navigate. Service was always amazing. The rooms are clean and spacious, the main areas were well kept.

Our room had a great view of Lake Tahoe. The room smelt like an ash try despite being told it was a non-smoking room. The TV got only about 7 channels.

When we arrived, there was a very large layer of dust on the headboard with a drip mark down the headboard. The television was only pixels. It did not work. I have a picture of it. No smart TV nor could you plug-in an HDMI cord. Very low water pressure. And no hot water between the hours of 1 AM to 4 AM which was not noted when I booked it when we opened the curtains there was a view of three dead birds the floor was dirty. It was just not the experience I was looking for the price

Hotel was remodeling and it was extremely noisy in the early mornings. After being woken up by the noise on New Year’s Day and also the second, we asked for late check out. However, the front desk said they dont offer late check out. The people working the front desk were also not friendly. The noise made it extremely difficult to get any rest, and the room was not that clean either.

The cleanliness was a major concern—dust was noticeable around the bed frames and there was a layer of dust on the side table, and the overall upkeep of the room felt subpar. It seemed like the cleaning standards were not up to mark, leaving the room feeling uncomfortable and neglected. While the location may be convenient, the condition of the rooms detracted significantly from the experience.

We were in the Romulus Tower with large rooms, giant bathroom and a partial lake & Mountain View. Very clean and modern, easy access to restaurants and tunnel to Harrah’s for concert at South Shore Room. Ate at Wolf, it was fabulous! Get a reservation or you can stand in line for bar seating.

Room was extremely small especially the shower. View was pretty. Closet was built backwards and located at the back of the room vs as you enter the door.

Very good stay with my twelve year old girls. Perfect location for anyone familiar with South Lake Tahoe with several nearby restaurants, shopping, fun lake experiences. Our room had a perfect view of the lake, was spacious, comfortable and clean. Hotel has everything you expect from a Caesar's property.

Bed was uncomfortable. Could not use fire stick. Hidden fees. Thin walls

Very nice room with view. Thermostat was intermittent stuck on cold temp, we froze all night, called for maintenance to fix, never came. Ice machine in hallway broken no ice. Casino level under major construction.

The WiFi is annoying limit to 2 devices and you can’t disconnect another one to make a new device connect.

The view from our room was stunning! Everything was clean and overall it was a really great room.

The view was amazing of the lake. I didn’t like that I got charged twice for the parking garage. The WiFi kept kicking me off. There was mold in the shower. The sink didn’t drain properly.

We stayed over a Fri-Sat night. I would HIGHLY recommend only staying if you are in the newer tower. When we checked in on Friday night we were put in the older side standard rooms, what a joke. They are in bad shape to put it lightly. When you get charged $500+ a night I feel like it’s reasonable to expect a decent room. The halls to the rooms are beat up and look terrible. The first room was so small there was barely walking space around the perimeter of the bed, the furniture was in poor shape, the carpet was dingy and gross, as was the bathroom. The bed was hard as a rock. It felt more like an old beat up motel than a 4 star casino resort. It was clean so that was a positive. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We requested to be moved for the 2nd night and for a minimal upcharge (like $25 more I think) were moved to a room that was brighter, nearly double the size with a much nicer bathroom and overall upkeep. It was a night and day difference. The bed was still pretty firm but a significant improvement for night one. I understand Tahoe on a weekend pricing but anyone that feels good about charging $500+ a night for the older rooms should be ashamed of themselves.

Housekeeping never came to my room, even after three calls and requests across a six hour period. Really unprofessional man who worked the Housekeeping phone on Saturday. Hope this review hits his desk, as he is deserving of a demotion.

Our experience started a week prior to our stay when we called to request a crib or bassinet for our room. The first person we called was so confused and said they don’t have them. She then put me on hold and then said they do but I need to contact the front desk. She gave me a number but it was a number that was not in service. My husband called later and they said they could not request one until we got to the hotel. We have never had this issue before. When we get to the hotel the lady checking us in did not explain anything about the hotel and just charged us for a bunch of additional charges. Charges for the pool etc. which by the way was not that nice to be charging an additional fee. The parking garage was horribly labeled and we found it difficult every time we tried to find the car. We stayed for a total of 6 nights and our room got cleaned once and that was because I called to ask them to clean it. I tried to coordinate everyday with the cleaners so they could at least dump our trash etc and they made it impossible. The one time they cleaned our room they didn’t do a great job. I will never stay here and definitely don’t recommend it. It is a hotel with a facelift but then you realize that all of the important parts of service and accessibility are really not worth it.

Neighbors were very loud our first night however the front lobby staff were very helpful to settle the situation.

We loved our spacious room. The lobby staff were friendly and professional. Dinner at the Sage Restaurant was delicious.

The valet and baggage check guys were great! They were quick personable and did a great job loading the car. I had done a lot of shopping on this trip and the bags were heavy! bags were heavythe car

We needed some tape during our stay and went to the front desk to ask if they had any. The employee asked the manager and the manager said that we would have to buy it from the shop. Went to the shop and they don't even have tape for sale. Went back to the front desk and the manager had left so the employee let us borrow a roll of tape. This is a stupid story but demonstrates how far Caesars has gone away from hospitality and treating their guests like anything other than money sources to be shaken down for the simplest request. We paid for the $25 cocktails and $35 a night valet without complaint but Caesars won't even offer up scotch tape for free without a hassle. Seems like they learned Hospitality from the Hospital industry. Thankfully, the new employee had not yet fully embraced Caesars culture and treated us with common decency that a sane person would extend to any guest.

Check in was terrible. They are doing construction but I wasn't informed until 2 days before check-in. The floor they put us on was gross. The room smelled like sour milk. The smoke alarm needed a battery. It took over 4 hours to get it fixed. There was limited shops and entertainment open.Upon checkout I was told I had to pay a lot more for resort fee's. After speaking to a manager he did take the fee's off the bill. This was supposed to be a relaxing enjoyable time but between a terrible room and the noise from construction it wasn't great. Its been 18 years since I visited my childhood home and it should have been a lot better. Oh and just FYI the garage elevator doesn't work right.

Room was really nice. Took 40 minutes to check in and I was third in line. Should not have to pay for parking if you are staying at resort, could be covered under resort fees. Had room key glitches that made room entry difficult and issues exiting the parking garage.

The worst check in experience, they didn’t like the fact I used a third party. No one had compassion or cared about my issues with my room experiences. No one helped me, they were all oblivious to anyone who had an issue. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to their establishment.

Hells Kitchen is the best restaurant. Just 2 blocks from the beach. Walkable strip for shopping and entertainment.

We stayed here for 3 nights for our 10 year anniversary. They are still doing renovations, but nothing major. This place sucked and the only thing that saved it was Hell’s Kitchen. Hell’s Kitchen was 5 stars, the food and the service was fantastic. The room, the room was nothing special, the shower smelled and we never got room service and had to call for things ourselves. Parking is $20 per night and you will need a card to exit freely, which we had to ask about they never told us about it at check in. Do not do room service as they will charge you twice and you will have to dispute the fees and the tv channels suck and there are no options to sign into streaming services, a little outdated if you ask me. The casino is small, nothing to write home about. Staff is unfriendly and same at Cleo coffee, staff was extremely rude. I would not stay here again.

Unfortunately the property is in the middle of a large renovation. The entire lobby and half the casino is trashed. Starbucks is gone. And frankly the new name “Ceasars Republic” is totally lame. Harvey’s is an American icon in South Lake Tahoe. We did have dinner at the Sage Room and it was outstanding.

We went for a birthday celebration to Tahoe and decided to stay at Harveys Resort & Casino for the convenience of having everything available in one place however we learned that was not the case. We decided to check-in at the counter instead of using the app or kiosk, when we arrived no one was at the counter so we thought it would be quick, it was not. Nor were we given a run down on any information that might have been helpful. The room looked nice however the hinges on the furniture and shower were not secure. We called for room service but got a recording that it was not available, used the TV feature for room service and got the same message. Apparently you are to text a phone number for room service. We learned this after I sent a message to the hotel. We decided to get coffee ourselves in the morning since it listed a Starbucks but discovered Starbucks was no longer there. We wanted to make a spa appointment then discovered it was actually at Harrah's not Harvey's and was going through renovations. Our room was never serviced so we didn't have our coffee pods, shampoo or soap replenished, there was no posting in the room that it had to be requested. They had an extreme amount of construction going on so a lot of areas had temporary walls. This did not feel like a resort at all so very disappointed that a "resort fee" was charged everyday of our stay. We messaged the hotel about this and were told the resort fee was for the gym, pool, wifi of which we didn't utilize.
