Homewood Suites by Hilton Dover

Overall, the stay was good when we checked in the room, wasn’t ready and needed to have another inspection done on it construction noise was ongoing throughout the day due to upgrading the rooms on the third floor. Lastly, the swimming pool was not heated while we told the receptionist upon checkout she had stated we should’ve told her sooner and would’ve had maintenance. Come to look at it, but at that point, it would’ve been too late. We weren’t gonna hang around to have the pool get warmed up. Someone should be checking it throughout the day to make sure it’s up to snuff

It was pet and kid friendly. Easy to park. Conveniently located.. Easy access, friendly staff pool was nice and warm.

Very nice room, quiet and very clean. Share parking with Margaritas Restaurant which can be a problem at times.

Chris was phenomenal checking us in and helping us throughout the day. Loved the convenience of the laundry room, pool area, and breakfast! We will be staying here again!! Kids LOVED the hot chocolate available all day and night

Location & parking was easy. Check in was short & smooth. Room was EXCELLENT. Super clean & comfortable. Good water pressure. Pool was refreshing - Hot Tub was clean, full & hot with great jet pressure. Breakfast was your standard continental - but the fruit was fresh, pastries were soft. Staff was friendly every time. I would recommend anytime.

we like the manager's special, the pool, great room, and breakfast. The room we got has a king size bed in one room, and two queen beds in another room. It's great for our family.

Solid hotel with big pool and hot tub but the gym was small and had no weights

The room was ok but dated and not real clean. Went to pool and water is not heated. Too cold to swim. Hot tub water was filthy. We could not see the steps to get in.

What I liked: the accessibility and calm of the place. What I didn't like: The door to the room that didn't work and you had to send a technician, the AC that didn't work well, the lack of a bed (sleeping on a sofa is not decent on vacation) and bedding, few towels and the room not cleaned during our stay. It was dirty. Food everywhere and they couldn’t do anything to refund. Very upset.

I stayed for one night at the Homewood Suites in Dover. I was disappointed that they claim and put the clean sticker on without actually checking. I think if you are going to deliberately claim you are following a standard, don't just stick stickers left and right as a certified clean when it's not. I took pictures and videos of the dishwasher dishes..not clean. The shower head is not tight and kept going off like droplets in the middle of the night and morning, it was spooky and could hear it even when I shut the bathroom door. We didn't even use it for it to do that and tried to tighten it.. nope! It would even do gushes of water.. weird!! Kind of losing hope in Hilton, I always love their hotels but this is my second strike in two months!

Was met with grumpy guy at front desk, room was cold and hard to warm up, bathroom area smelled like sewer gas, dirty dishes in cabinets . Bed was bumpy and hard.

The staff were wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and there is plenty of parking. Also, there is a great Mexican restaurant right next to the hotel.

We were very happy with the facility and staff. We had a problem with the room next door to us, as they had a dog which they left unattended for long periods of time. The dog whined and barked most of the time it was alone (which can be natural, and not the dog's fault). This kept us up and woke us up several times. I can understand that being a "pet friendly" hotel can be a good marketing tool, but there should be some policy against leaving a pet alone for long periods. Next time, I will re-think my options before booking in a pet friendly facility.

If you need to work from this hotel, the wifi is excellent! Also really nice breakfast and a good restaurant is walking distance from this hotel!

The only complain it’s the dog barking, that’s why I usually don’t book hotels which accept dogs. The owner are not responsible and we the guests have to endure the barking all nigh

Very comfortable beds. Amazing room 3 beds plus a pull out all very comfortable and accommodating!

Extremely comfortable bed & pillows! Kitchen in suite was stocked with basic cookware needs, so no need to bring supplies. Water pressure in shower was a welcome change, compared to mediocre trickles at other establishments. Will definitely stay here again.

Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and spacious. There were some stains on the couch and the room and hallways could use some updating. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay and I would stay here again.

We had four kids with us and their basic suite was perfect for us. Plenty of sleeping space and a reasonable price. My husband was impressed with how nice of a place I booked knowing the cost we paid!

The staff were wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and there is plenty of parking. Also, there is a great Mexican restaurant right next to the hotel.

A pipe burst and they were unable to fit us in. Sent us to another hotel and offered to cover the cost of a room for us. They handled it well.

The customer service was up and Beyond some

The property canceled my pre-paid reservation with a third-party biller at the last minute, Expedia. I had this room booked and paid for a month before the reservation date and chose it because I had enough beds for teens. I didn’t learn they canceled until I arrived and my room was gone. There was only one room left. Then I had to pay twice the amount for a smaller room and had family members sleeping on the floor. It took almost 2 hours to sort this out at the front desk and I missed my daughter‘s first cheer competition. There was no Wi-Fi available for me to pull up my reservation information because they wouldn’t allow me to use the Wi-Fi until I already had a room. The cellular service is apparently bad right there in New Hampshire. They pointed out a computer I could use in the corner of the Lobby, but it wasn’t working and it was the front desk staff person’s first week working there. She couldn’t even find my name.After buying the last room remaining, I was able to pull up the reservation information on my phone and bring it to the front desk. They explained they had canceled it that morning. The manager spoke with the front desk staff on the phone four or five times about my situation, because there was only one room left, and I didn’t want to pay twice as much for it then I had already prepaid. He wouldn’t talk with me directly even though he spent almost 30 minutes on the phone with the Front Desk staff. The room was very nice but small with only one bed.

From Carlton’s greeting at the front desk and his effortless efficiency to the cleanliness of the room all the way to easy smooth checkout, this Hilton was perfect for my visit and I’ll definitely be back.

They did offer a room across the hall but I was alone with 6 children and could t leave then unsupervised. The staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. In the morning they shut breakfast down before the designated end time and didn’t even have regular coffee brewed. They were actively putting food away before breakfast ended as people were trying to get food. I do not recommend this hotel.

Staff was super helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

There was some confusion when we arrived for check-in; we didn’t receive one of the rooms we had reserved but then were charged for it as we left. That said, the staff and general managers were incredibly helpful in sorting out the trouble and getting us a refund for that room.

One of the best hotel experiences we’ve had! Traveling with teenagers and my husband for reference. The staff was AMAZING! Truly made us feel like family! The room was very spacious and comfy. Loved having a separate bedroom, the kitchen and living room. A great experience. Lots of shopping and dining nearby! An easy trip to Maine as well.

Pleasantly surprised! We booked a last minute trip and found this hotel. For a large family, it’s perfect. It’s quiet, the breakfast is awesome, the pool is nice. The location is close to big chain outlets. The Mexican restaurant in front is awesome. You can’t go wrong. The beds are comfortable!

Breakfast had a very good selection of items for everyone. We also enjoyed the Wednesday evening reception - food items and drinks were very satisfying.

The rooms are pretty old and rundown. They allow pets, which is great on one hand. But on the other try and imagine what 15 year old rooms with carpet that had many pets staying in them smells like..: Breakfast in the morning has good selection. But stay away from the eggs. Caused stomach issues for me every time.
