La Quinta by Wyndham Allen at The Village

It was clean and quiet. Those are the most important things to me. Service was great. My only disappointment was the workout center being closed for renovation. I have public gym membership so it wasn't a problem.

this was by far the nicest La Quinta I have ever stayed in. It didn’t feel like La Quinta. It felt more like a Four star hotel The bed was super comfy. My room was awesome. The only complaint I have is that the hot tub was not hot and that was really a letdown for me because I was so looking forward to the hot tub. The breakfast was amazing. Staff was super awesome. really great place to stay. I loved it. I will definitely go back, hopefully they get the hot tub fixed

My car is a hybrid and I pull up to try and charge my car and the charger doesn’t work. I go to relax in the hot tub and it’s filled with floating bugs and moths . I wanted to sit in a hot tub so I took them out myself .but then I go inside to a damp and mildew smelling room. Just wanting to watch a little tv and go to sleep. After 20 mins of trying to get this tv to work I go downstairs and ask just to be told yeah sometimes they don’t work it’s a hit or miss really . And as I’m talking to the staff member another guest comes down complaining his tv and ac isn’t working so I know it wasn’t just me.I ended up having to pull out my iPad and connect to the WiFi and watch YouTube throughout my stay. The lock on my hotel room door is also broken and hanging limply on the door frame. Would not stay here again

Breakfast was hot but basic. Elevator was broken and caused inconvenience (no fix ETA for a week). Pet fee was kinda high and not declared while booking so it was a surprise.

The hotel was up to date, in superior condition and very clean. Room was very comfortable, front office staff very helpful. We were very happy to have an excellent EV charger on site. We will be back.

Had a great continental breakfast. Hot tub didn’t work.

The fitness room - equipment not working. treadmill, the TV and the wall clock. Access doors. The only door working properly was the main door; key card access was not working on 2 side entrances. Business center - the key board was not working properly. While using the keyboard I was able to use the numeric keys. The space bar was not operable. I was using a (period) key to space my wording. I needed a printed copy of my lost item report for the airport. The document didn’t look pretty but I was able to submit electrically & print. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good.

Bed was comfy I slept great ! , everything worked fine front desk was very nice and friendly and helped me with whatever . Only thing was soon as I walked in my room turned the tv on it was a huge roach crawling up the wall ! I killed it but that was a little unexpected! No one answers the phone when you call front desk either but later found out the phones weren’t working I guess , But other than that everything else was cool

BED BUGS! Terrible and nasty will never stay there again! Added paint to look clean but still dirty. The manager refused to give me my money back after a bed bug was crawling on the sheets headed toward my 11 month old baby. Front desk person lied and told me I would be refunded with the manager then the manager refused. Terrible experience, bad customer service, and BED BUGS.

Our entire floor smelled very strongly of marijuana the entire time (except early mornings). This permeated into our room. Also staff was on the floor, and the small was extremely strong, nothing was done about this.

Unfortunately, we are in the process of trying to get a refund. We tried to get a refund the night we arrived as our room was so mildew that it was difficult to be in the room at all. The floor has been broken up and glued back together. There was gross things on the walls and on the couch And when we talk to the person on duty, he said it was the only room available and he would not refund our money to go stay somewhere else. We only stayed one night and we left as soon as we could.

Our room was roach infested!! When we arrived we turned on the lights and saw a roach run through the bathroom. Then when we turn on the AC unit, a 2nd roach ran out of the unit. I asked to move to a different room and was told there was not another room available. The front desk said they would spray our room when maintenance arrived in the morning. After about 2 hours, roaches were everywhere. They were even crawling on the bed. We left immediately. When we asked for a refund, we were offered to move rooms. Unacceptable, as we asked to move rooms after the 1st two roaches found in the room and were told it was not an option due to availability. We left the hotel, the manager said we would not be charged. He said the hold for the room rate would drop off our account and we would have a full refund. It did not. They processed the full payment. We called the hotel again to ask for the refund. The agreed however, it’s been 7 days and we still don’t have the refund. We are disputing the charge with the bank now. Don’t stay here…it’s infested and you will be charged regardless if they agree to a refund.

Very clean, everything in working order, comfortable bed and pillows. No decaf coffee in the breakfast service.

Average hotel overall, but our room was muggy and smelled heavily of mildew.

This is the second time stating here visiting family in Texas. We stay in a suite. The comfort is outstanding. The service is excellent. This hotel is now my go to hotel as it is located by family, shopping and easy access to express way. I give them an A+

The Tv did not work

The room was decent but if you are going to relax don’t stay on the 1st floor the noise level was crazy starting at 5am sounded like construction was happening every morning. Check in was great and the room was mediocre.

Nice hotel. Only issue was our room was directly across from elevator and a lot of noise with people getting in and out of elevator.

Don't let the bargain price deter you. This place is as good as many nearby for quite a bit less. The room was clean, everything worked. The building is near 75 Central Expressway, but you can't hear traffic, day or night, at least from the rooms I've stayed in. No complaints about this stay or my previous ones.

Very clean rooms, felt safe. Air conditioning was fantastic, Wi-Fi was fast, breakfast was amazing. Only complaints are our key cards kept deactivating so we had to go back to the front desk to reactivate them. Also, neither outlets in the bathroom worked. Had to use my hot hair tools out in the room with a portable mirror.

We weren’t able to use the tv. It had to be connected to Internet but we were never able to get it connected. Mini fridge was barely cold. They did offer to swap us rooms, but it was a pet friendly room. Spoke to another guest on the 4th floor and they couldn’t use their tv either, so not sure swapping would have mattered. Breakfast was great. Close to shopping and the Allen Center which is where we were for an event.

I had booked this hotel months in advance. When we arrived, we were given a room that was dirty. We went back to the front desk and were told that we would get another room, but the front desk clerk wanted to check it out first, after he returned he said it was good gave us the keys. When we went up to the room, the key did not work so I had to go back to the front desk and the clerk came up with us to open the door and there was somebody asleep in the room. The room in fact was not empty and available. Not sure how he went to check on the room and then came back and told us that it was fine when it was occupied. he then proceeded to tell me that there is another room that I can have but one bed will not be made due to a previous guest needing two beds so they checked out of the room but the rest of the room should be fine. We get to our third room and it is completely filthy. Trash coming out of the trash cans dishes everywhere both of the beds are completely messed up. We go back to the front desk where he proceeds to tell us he has no rooms to offer us and our reservation has to be canceled and refunded. By this time its 11 PM at night and he is telling us we have to try and find another room. The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had.

Hotel downgraded my room. Said they gave away my room even though I had a credit card to hold the room. Committed to refunding me for moving me to a cheaper room. Manager said he would take care of it personally, and he didn’t. Front desk called him when I was checking out and he committed to call me on Monday to resolve. Never received a call. Went 2 days without housekeeping, even though requested twice. Will never stay here again.

The general manager went above and beyond to help us with our stay. We had to add more days for the first reservation. Then he helped keep us in the same room, which was extremely helpful for my wife and I since she just had surgery and needed an accessible room.

Room was very clean and facility is kept up really well. Staff were super nice and got me checked in and out quickly. Breakfast was good as well. Would stay here again.

The room was nice and the young lady that checked me in was great. Other than that the food for breakfast was terrible. The lady working the breakfast was not very attentive.

The dryer in the hotel doesn't dry your clothes this was a bigger than normal turn off to me after being wet being in the texas floods for 2 days prior to checking in. Also i got there a little after 3 and my room was not available... also normally not a big deal but was disappointing due to be wet and just wanting to get dry. The staff was super nice and very polite about everything. Breakfast was mediocre but edible.

La Quinta Inn was a great hotel for the offered price! Free and always available parking, and free breakfast everyday. We were staying here for five nights during the Call of Duty League tournament at the Texas Event Center only a five minute drive away. Quick check-in once pre-check in has been completed online. Hotel staff were friendly and asked about our stay during check-in, coincidentally others were staying there for the weekend as well. Food during breakfast was consistently being refilled during its hours, which also tasted great! We got served hot foods eggs, sliced sausage, breakfast potatoes, and there were many cereal options. We got to drink fresh coffee and orange juice. Extra toiletries, such as toilet paper, was always available for us at the front desk. Rooms were supplied with generous amount of towels as well, given we were there for six days total. Given the low price, we were able to hear people going in and out of their rooms, but was a great stay given that we were constantly out of our room throughout the day. Unfortunately, during our stay, there were scattered ants around the coffee maker/fridge area, so every so often we would have to kill a couple of ants. We had a smell hint of spilled coffee and put two and two together. Overall, for having a fridge and microwave available in the room, it was expected but something that can be easily fixed for next time. Overall, comfy bed and many pillows provided made up for a pleasant stay. Thank you Texas!
