Staff were very good. Very friendly and welcoming . Appreciate parking is a problem but they did understand this. Food was good but the room did look a tad tired and could do with an update .

Were not advised about the building work and scaffolding that was erected front and back. Note to other users. While it states there is no reception. There is a reception desk at the front entrance. The car park is on the left of the building as you face it. Easy to miss. Bit of a squeeze. You will need to register at reception. Whilst the rooms are clean they are showing signs of wear and tear. Also lighting is very dim. You can eat in the Pub bar or restaurant the menu is the same. Food was good.

Great place to stay, very smart bars and breakfast room. High quality breakfast with good range of options. Poor condition rooms - although clean and comfortable they could do with refurbishing. Overall I would still recommend this as a good value hotel.

Good car parking, slightly tight entrance. Friendly helpful staff. Had to change room door to flooded & wet carpet but received free breakfast & discounted room rate. Very tired building with wallpaper coming away, flaking ceilings. Very hot with no control over radiator temperatures. We had to have window fully open to cool the room.

Comfy beds, clean rooms, staff were very polite and friendly. Restaurant was excellent 10/10.

From the check in the staff could not do enough to help. From car parking to dinner and then a slight late check out. We were there for a family wedding and the hotel was perfect. Great quiz night on the Thursday too.

Absolutely horrid rooms, carpet dirty and threadbare had black mould around the windows, one window didn’t open and the other one we had to hold it up with a bin, sink did not empty after about an hour, bath was dirty..

We had an overnight weekend stay for a wedding. The service was very good - reception were very helpful and friendly, same as bar staff. However, the condition of the building upstairs was poor. The Kings Arms is in dire need of a makeover. There was a lot of peeling paint, threadbare carpets and the bathroom needed a big revamp, with the toilet seat not squarely on the lavatory and a lot of brown mildew staining round the shower screen.

Clean and comfortable but room in desperate need of major upgrade; photos on website misleading. Wallpaper peeling, paint fragmented, no "nice" wooden headboard, challenging lights (had to fumble to the bedside lights to find switch then go back to door to turn on), old fashioned plumbing with v hot water (good) mixed with a lot of air (bad) so spurted. Burger was excellent.

Very dated. Paint peeling off the ceiling and wall paper missing. Shower not working and silicone around bath black and mouldy. Carpets had stains on them and transformer plugged in roof so works can be carried on outside.

We booked one night stay at The Kings Arms Hotel, the staff were friendly and we checked in smoothly. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was good. The room however needs a lot of improvement, the windows would not stay open at all, we realised they had a restriction due to safety but they would not open even a little and the room was hot, when asked about this we were told to prop it open with something which we did, we used a plastic glass from the bathroom which we told the member of staff we had done. The carpet in the room had a hole in it. The bath panel was in a dreadful state ( see photo) the basin taps had parts missing. The bed side lamp flickered when first put on and the socket was loose. The shower was powerful. The staff were friendly throughout our staff and the food was good.

"You pay for what you get" is often heard. The hotel is a little 'tired' and in need of some TLC and the WIFI was no use in room 10. (It is being replaced so hopefully that issue will not reoccur) However every staff member was more than welcoming and always very willing to assist (as was the Manager who was identified at Breakfast. I've stayed twice now and each room was well equipped with far more than Travelodge of Premier Inn - besides a great selection of hot drinks, a bottle of water and I noticed Hair-dryer (don't need it), Iron / Ironing board (didn't use it). Food is excellent quality, cost and is presented well. Communal areas are clean and tidy. I will stay again.

I don’t like being told I can’t open the window more than 6 inches. I and my partner are in our eighties 83 and 86 and found it a bit of a struggle to get ourselves and bags up to the second floor! We should have been asked our ages at booking. The toilet took more than three full flushes to clear solids! There was no central light and the dressing table light was flickering and eventually died.

Good food, good staff, clean, rooms at the front suffer from traffic noise a bit, if you are used to traffic noise it won’t bother you as the windows have secondary double glazing, I know some who live on roads will not worry at all about it at all. Generally a little tired in appearance but look beyond that for a good value, decent hotel with good amenities. Breakfast was good and “steak Thursday” represents excellent value!

Manager was great with changing room when there was problems with key. But new room was next to outside beer tables area which was noisy. Had early start so ideally needed a room in quieter room. Room itself looked tired, with wallpaper peeling off wall. But bedroom was ok and bed was comfortable.

My stay at the kings Head was largely very satisfactory. You will no doubt be aware that the Inn is in need of serious renovation and has been for a number of years. The food was excellent at all times both for Breakfast and the evening meals that I had over a 2 night stay. Possibly one of the best pies I've ever tasted. The Abbott Reserve Ale on offer was a very welcome bonus at £3.00 a pint. The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout my stay and made me feel very welcome to be staying. Perhaps my biggest concern, was that another guest tried to enter my room at 23.05 on the last night of my stay. His key clearly operated my door and as you can imagine, I was quite shocked by the intrusion into my room # 12 by another guest, who was extremely apologetic. I did not report this at the time or when checking out the following morning, because I did not want to make a fuss and in truth, found the whole incident strangely amusing. However, when returning home, my wife pointed out just how serious this was and that it should be reported. The real question I guess, is how could someone else's key open my door. In fact, when I got up in the morning, I discovered that my room's door had been left open all night! I think for your part an investigation into the whole key and access situation is required. I am willing to assist in every way possible. I trust you appreciate this review and the concerns it raises for the future well being of would be guests at the Kings Head.

The staff were lovely from my phone call earlier in the week prior to our stay and at check-in, breakfast service and check-out. The hotel is in an old property, our room was in need of some updating and renovation but that was acknowledged by staff and our bill was reduced accordingly. Very nice breakfast.

Although the decor is tired in places (a coat hanger was used to prop open the sash window in our room, our room was comfortable and the staff were excellent. Free car parking and good food and drink were also available, while the location in the heart of Westerham was lovely.

Excellent spot to stay, close to the motorway. Food good and not expensive for the area. Would definitely stay again.

Rather ‘tired’ public areas that will benefit from a planned refit, but the bedroom was clean and spacious. Being on the high street made road noise and passing public rather disturbing, until late night , but it was manageable and did not detract from the overall stay. I will use this hotel again when in area.

Great location for visiting local national trust properties. Very good service from all the staff we encountered . We didn't have breakfast but the evening meals were fairly priced and good quality. The bedroom was spacious and had a very comfortable bed , but some attention to detail with regards to cleaning would be good .

Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay, hotel staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Comfy bed, although only a double, but still sleept well. Breakfast self service had a good selection of cereals etc and the full English was a good choice, without a doubt, served with tasty meaty sausages, good value too.

Building in sore need of some remedial works, extractor fan not working, bathroom ceiling coming adrift in large flakes, weirdly, no headboard on the bed?! Food average, but breakfast.... truly the worst hollandaise ever! Thin, weirdly slimy with a nasty industrial taste. Not out of a jar, according to the waiter, but his assurance that he'd pass the comment to head office suggests it isn’t (as I'd already surmised) made on site to order.

The room was clean and comfy and the breakfast was really nice, the only thing I would say is the coffee at breakfast was Luke warm at best and even though I asked for another coffee pot it was still only luke warm when they bought it out but other than that I couldn’t fault it. I would definately go back again
