Vila Gale Lagos

The location of this property is great, especially if you don't have a car. It's close to the beach and the marina as well as a short walk to the old town. There is a grocery store 15 minutes away. The facilities are great, especially for kids. There is a large pool and deck, children's playground and indoor pool. Rooms are large. A small thing to remember is to bring shampoo/conditioner as they don't supply it and if you can bring your own hairdryer. There's doesn't work. Great stay, I would come back for sure.

Perfekt ställe med barn! Barnklubben var fantastisk med otroligt engagerade ledare som charmade även våra blyga barn :)

Sehr modern eingerichtete Zimmer, sehr sauber, grosse Betten. Leider war die Auswahl an Speisen nicht so besonders, für's Essen gebe ich nur 2*. Es gibt kein Unterhaltungsprogramm für Erwachsene und Jugendliche. Wir haben uns abends gelangweilt. Die Stadt ist zu Fuss in 30 Minuten erreichbar. Der Strand ist 6 km lang, sehr breit und sauber. Insgesamt kann ich meinen Aufenthalt in Villa Gale Lagos als positiv bewerten.

Ett utmärkt hotell. Mycket vänlig och trevlig personal. Stort poolområde i en vacker trädgård. ca 2 km till Lagos historiska centrum. Också gångavstånd till en härlig sandstrand vid havet där man kan promenera i timmar. Helt underbart. Hotellet kan varmt rekommenderas.

Some of the Exercise equipment needs updating and fixing but was usable. Small room not a lot of equipment. Beach was close, pool area nice and good food options. Lotsa olive trees and fruits on the ground but trees look nice. Town and Marina is close to walk to. Large pool excellent for swimming, not too deep for older kids. Younger kids have a seperate play area far away from large pool. Our first stay, we loved it. Beautiful views from our top floor junior suite. Air conditioned. Easy way to get in and out of room and hotel area. Free outdoor parking. Mostly free parking anywhere you go. Public transport.

Very nice hotel. We checked in on the day Portgual was hit with the blackout, yet all staff remained calm and friendly. They had a back up generator running which allowed us to check in and get something to eat after a terribly stressful day. Pool and kids area facilities were great and its a 5 minute walk to a huge beach (no facilities there) 2 negatives though: cleaning staff pass by very late in the day 3 - 5pm And while the buffet breakfast is great, the bar and italian restaurant offer subpar food

Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt nicht schlecht, aber definitiv auch nichts besonderes. Waren 4 Nächte hier. Frühstück war leider nicht gut. Viel zu voll und laut im Saal (habe zeitweise 85 dB gemessen, und das vor dem ersten Kaffee am morgen). Terrasse schön aber voll. Personal kam nicht hinterher mit dem Tische eindecken, Essen langweilig, keine Abwechslung zw. den Tagen, Rührei wässrig, Omelett schwimmt im Fett, einfach nicht lecker. Mein Mann, der beruflich ständig in Hotels frühstückt, fand es das schlechteste seit langer Zeit. Wir waren heilfroh, dass wir keine Halbpension oder All In hatten. Abends sah der Saal beim vorbeigehen genauso schrecklich aus. Einen weiteren Tag wären wir wahrscheinlich nicht frühstücken gegangen. Zimmer waren okay, hätten uns aber (für die Kategorie eigentlich üblich) z. B. Kosmetiktücher, u. ä. im Bad gewünscht, aber es gab nur Seife und Duschgel/Shampoo. Für unsere Tochter war der Kinderpool toll, leider ist der etwas ab vom Schuss, entsprechend sind natürlich Möglichkeiten, sich etwas zu trinken zu holen auch nicht wirklich gegeben. Immerhin gab es am Kinderpool Liegen, wohingegen am großen Pool keine einzige frei war. Der große Pool und der Garten waren aber an sich schön. Personal an der Rezeption okay, nicht unfreundlich aber kühl und nicht wirklich willkommen heißend. Deko-Konzept des Hotels (Mode Design von vor 15 Jahren) fragwürdig und hässlich. Könnte man mal austauschen. Ansonsten ist das Gebäude und die Ausstattung gut.

The Vila Gale was very nice for the price - clean, friendly and helpful staff, and good restaurants. The breakfast was included in our pkg and it was very good. We loved the Italian restaurant as well. The hotel was walking distance (along the boardwalk) which was lovely. The bathrooms have no fans, so when you take a shower the whole room becomes wet, that is, all the walls, ceiling and floors (which is quite strange).

Nous avons passez un excellent séjour à vila galé! Il est très bien situé, proche de la gare (1km) et un accès direct à la plage ! Il dispose de 3 restaurants, aussi bons les uns que les autres... Il est doté d une décoration intérieure exterieure surprenante et au Top !! Le personnel est très agréable . Tout est d une propreté irréprochable, le personnel nettoie constamment, aussi bien l intérieur que l extérieur, Tout est clean....

Ótimo hotel para férias! Nos foi dado um quarto com varanda com vista para o mar e piscina. Bela Vista! O café da manhã era variado e tudo preparado muito saboroso. O spa é muito limpo, a sauna, o jacuzzi e o banho de turco eram adequados e a temperatura exigida foi mantida em todos os momentos. A equipe foi muito útil e simpático. Muito obrigado, com certeza voltarei novamente.

Wir haben hier 4 Nächte verbracht. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer im 3. Stock mit Balkon und Aussicht zum Meer. Das Zimmer ist sehr groß. Es gibt einen Fernseher mit vielen deutschen Sendern. Positiv: -Frühstücksbuffet bot für alle etwas zu essen, besonders lecker empfand ich das Omblett, Pfannkuchen und das frische Obst. -die Lage des Hotels, sehr ruhig gelegen. - Große Anlage mit tollem Außenpool, welcher im Winter nur mit Neoprenanzug nutzbar ist. - die Bar mit Billard und Dart Negativ: Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, man hört jeden Ton vom Nachbarn. Der Wellnessbereich ( Sauna wurde leider mit Kleidung und ohne Handtuch genutzt ) das poolwasser war sehr kalt und der Whirlpool dreckig ( das Wasser war kühl und trüb ) Parkplatzgebühren Fehlender Wasserkocher für Tee oder Kaffee im Zimmer ( finde ich für ein 4 Sterne Hotel ein Muss ) Die Sauberkeit der Anlage, hat mir nicht gefallen, das Zimmer und der Frühstücksraum waren nicht sauber. Der Kaffee war leider sehr schlecht, Pulver ohne frische Milch. Tipp: Man kann kostenlos ein paar Meter Richtung Strand, auf einem großen Parkplatz parken. In die Altstadt braucht man ca. 20min zu Fuß Eine Bushaltestelle ist ebenfalls direkt beim Hotel

This property is in a wonderful location, close to a beautiful beach and walkable to Lagos. Very good staff and great pool area. Rooms had a musty smell and shower in bath that is not very safe. Buffet breaki was average for the price. We liked that there was a gate to access beach with room key, but by 930pm when we were returning from Lagos it was padlocked closed!! I recommend the area, but not sold on the hotel.

Das Hotel liegt gut, hat eine schöne Poollandschaft. Allerdings ist es recht dreckig und die Möbel in einem schlechten Zustand. Die Zimmer riechen muffig. Das Essen ist eine Katastrophe! Es gibt kaum Auswahl und es wird auch nicht nachgelegt, wenn die Speisen leer sind. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht, sind aber nach zwei Tagen abends lieber essen gegangen. Kellner gab es keine, wir bekamen nie etwas zu trinken. Wir würden das Hotel nicht mehr buchen.

Appena arrivati abbiamo utilizzato i bagni in reception, trovati senza cartaigienica, serrature porte rotte e rubinetto lavandino "dondolante". In camera, lavandino intasato, segnalato alla reception ma il problema non è stato risolto, tubo doccia perdeva, piatto doccia intasato e allagava bagno, lampadina comodino bruciata, pulizia della camera molto superficiale. All'ultimo giorno anche il phon ha smesso di funzionare. Abbiamo notato anche che l'ascensore aveva il corrimano smontato e appoggiato a terra. Al check-out abbiamo segnato alla reception tutti i problemi avuti. Ristorante a buffet con poca varietà e molto affollato. Personale nel complesso gentile. Di questo hotel si salva solo la piscina e vicinanza al mare a ciu si accede attraversando strada e successivi binari. Per il prezzo pagato non consigliamo questo hotel.

Für ein 4Sterne Hotel fehlten Toilettenartikel wie Bodylotion oder Kleenex Box. Ausser Shampoo hatte es im Bad nichts. Auch kein Wasserkocher für Kaffee oder Tee. Kein Schuhlöffel oder Wäschesack. Auch ein Bademantel fehlte. Mangende Zimmerausstattung!!

Perfekte Lage am tollen Sandstrand. Fußläufig bis ins Zentrum von Lagos (ca. 15 Minuten). Tolle Hotelanlage und besonders die gepflegt, wunderschöne Außenanlage. Zimmer etwas lieblos und in die Jahre gekommen.

Chambre vue mer confortable. Petit déjeuner complet : autant de salé que de sucré. Piscines intérieures et extérieures agréables en ce mois de mai.

Quartos confortáveis, chuveiro mto bom. Toalhas de banho pequenas, porém suaves e cheirosas. O sabonete líquido que para mim tinha um odor muito forte e enjoativo (na minha opinião não adequado p/ um hotel). Outro ponto negativo é que o hotel não fornece ferro de passar (somente serviço de lavanderia)

This is a nice property if you are traveling with kids and just want time at the pool. Otherwise, I would recommend staying in the Old Town. Our room was large, but the bathroom was dim. The color scheme of the property was a bit drab. The breakfast buffet was good.

Nuno at the concierge was very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was one of the best we had in our 10 days in Portugal, classics done well. Excellent water pressure in the shower.

My husband and I enjoyed staying at Vila Gale Lagos immensely. The location near the ocean in a quiet area close to old town was perfect. The food at the hotel was delicious, the service was exceptional. We loved every minute of our 7- day stay.

When we arrived, we found we had been upgraded to a Seaview which was nice! The food was really good, negative points was it took a long time before someone came to take our drinks order and also not all the food was labelled, so we didn't know what it was! The outside pool area was really nice, the indoor pool could've been more warm, we found it too cold to go inside it! Would definitely return for a 3rd time!

Durch ein Hotel in Albufeira wurde uns Ihr Hotel empfohlen. Der Empfang war allerdings sehr kühl und inkompetent. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, angenehm im Komfort, Betten wie Sanitäre Anlagen. Leider kkonten wir die Pools wegen des kühlen Wetters nicht genissen. Sagenhaft gross. Am Abend wollten wir noch kurz in die Bar, Musik war ohrenbetäubend laut. zum Glück konnten wir uns im Freien aufhalten. Das Hotel ist mir zu gross und zu kühl ausgestattet. Die Massage, die mein Partner genoss war gut.

Great place to stay. We were upgraded for free and all of the staff were accomadating, friendly, and would gomoutnof the way to make out stay enjoyable.

Vila Gale Lagos är en stor semesteranläggning för stora grupper av turister. Därom inte ett ställe för oss som kom som par. Det var under vår vistelse hela tiden kö till receptionen. Vårt rum var inte klart kl 16 när vi skulle checka in. Frukosten var full av tomma fat så det blev mycket spring. I övrigt ett helt OK men dyrt semesterhotell

We stayed at Vila Gale Lagos for 2 days. The phone in our room didn’t work, so had to go to reception to ask for clean towels on the second day. The male staff was on phone call for a long time, he saw that I was waiting to ask something, but he just ignored. When another staff came out, I asked if she can send some clean towels to my room. I showed her my room key and room number. She replied “yes”. But no one brought us any towels for the rest of the day. We are disappointed. Customer service is not good here.

Out of town slightly but Uber is really affordable and accessible! Food was good. Facilities were great. Close to the beach. Every staff member was incredible and very welcoming!

Great property. A bit far from the city center

Easy access to the beach and a good walk into the town center. Staff were helpful, room was quiet, and buffet breakfast offered a nice variety. Wi-Fi during peaks times was slow to respond, but functioned well during non-peak times (early morning, late evening). Overall, a good value for money and an enjoyable stay in Lagos.

Mittelmäßiges 4-Sterne-Hotel. Zimmer war sehr laut. Könnte aber auch an der Verbindungstür im Zimmer gelegen haben. Das Frühstück war einfallslos und die Auswahl beschränkt. Der Kaffee aus dem Automaten war ungenießbar und war vermutlich Instant-Kaffee

Have stayed at Vila Gale Lagos many times since it opened. Pre covid visits were all enjoyable with no questionable issues. The last two visits April 23 and more recent November 23 the food service at the evening meal have in my view, not had a varied enough choice for each course. Over the duration of 4 nights repeat items were evident each evening. What ever happened to the once a week sea food night, fresh oysters, mussels and king prawns!

Hotel muito bem estruturado. Ponto negativo pra mim são as poucas opções do buffet, tanto no café da manhã quanto as refeições de almoço e jantar.
