The underground parking is very tight with many poles. The ramp to B1 parking is narrow and has sharp turn that unless you drive a very small car, the likelihood of hitting the side is unavoidable. I saw many hit marks on the side and poles. The spa is well designed with many features, but half of them are broken. Half of the whirlpool jets don't work. Only 2 shower jets there work among 10 .

Fantastic resort with multiple pools with 5 minutes walk to the beach. Our two bedroom apartment was clean and modern. There is ample parking and we felt very safe as two women walking late at night time. I would come back to stay here again.

Nice property. 4 min walk to the beach and runs were clean and sizeable. Some strange nuances. 2 Keurig coffee pods provided on day 1 only (additional ones needed to be purchased). Needed to ask for toilet paper to be refilled (not done daily). No tissue. No change in towels over 3 days. Needed to ask for a key to the lockbox in room. Pool was not heated and quite brisk. Spa pools had a number of jets not functioning. These are issues I wouldn't expect from a hotel a fraction of the price, let alone this caliber of hotel. We enjoyed our stay but thought the cost consciousness was out of place and impacted the experience at this $.

The property was fine, the rooms were large and in decent condition for the price. We had a day without hot water. we had to call for our room phone to be fixed The views were excellent- breakfast was basic and very expensive if you do not prepay- You are much better off going into town and spending 1/4th of the price for something delicious. Parking a large vehicle is a nightmare, outdoor parking is limited, parking structures are available but extremely tight for a larger European car, as evidenced by all of the pillars being repaired from scrapes on car doors.

Great property in Lagos. Very quiet area with a couple beaches, hiking trails, and restaurants within walking distance. 10 min drive into the main town but not walkable. Rooms were clean and the amenities were great. We only visited two of the pools and they were a little cold and made it difficult to swim. Gym is ok but the highlight is the spa. Overall a great stay. A quieter option for a vacation to Lagos.

Very nice hotel with excellent service. Front desk was always very helpful and informative. Cleaning staff did an awesome job. Outdoor pools are not heated and were too cold to swim in but the indoor pool was quite nice. Fountain outside our room was in disrepair. I had Green curry with rice for supper and it was delicious. My husband and I enjoyed our 4 day stay.

We had ants in the accommodation. We went to complain to reception, only to be told that it is normal to have ants in this part of the country... Employees came to spray the area around the apartment and nothing more. For the rest, it was well located, 3 minutes from the beach on foot.

This place is dirty. It’s all the tables are all scratched up. It reminded me of a motel six it wasn’t worth the price that I paid the shag rug, which is 1970 look is dirty and spotty. All the hallways are all smelly from the carpet and spotted and dirty spots in the carpet. Also had a very bad stench smell in the room. The front desk people are rude. Never heard of putting the pillows in the closet couldn’t find them. It was not worth the price or the time of being here, but I’d booked it through a third-party Expedia and never again while ever stay here again can’t wait to leave to go somewhere else because they won’t give me back my money awful disgusting stay away

Check in was nice and easy and the location was great. This place has the potential to be amazing but seems like whoever runs this place has given up. The rooms were spacious and nice but the hallway leading to the rooms were terrible. Dark and 70s orange carpet with really gross stains takes away from the rest of the decor. Room was nice but smelled like fish.

Wonderful stay at the Belmar. Property is beautiful and well maintained. Our apartment in the main building was beautiful with a balcony overlooking the adults only pool. Great kitchen equipped with everything you need. Nice bathroom and wonderful king-size bed. Buffet breakfast included with the room was wonderful, best that we had on our trip. Would definitely stay again…

We had a great stay at Belmar. We stayed in an apartment style unit including a laundry machine which was incredibly useful as part of our 2nd leg of our Portugal trip. Overall it was very spacious. Facilities and amenities at the resort like the pool, gym, and spa were very good. It was also extremely close to the beach and to a really fresh seafood restaurant. Finally the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had including a variety of fresh fruit! I left one star off for the following reasons. 1)In unit air conditioning is quite old and had a bit of a musty smell in one of them. 2) really not picking here, but the bed in one of my units was extremely hard and the pillows were very worn out and could use some replacement. 3) TV has a lot of channels but the actual tv is quite old and doesn't have modern features. This one is just nit picking because we are obviously not picking a hotel based on their TV. I am so glad I picked this resort as it was truly so relaxing to stay here and it has more than I expected. It was also close to old town Lagos via driving.

Belmar is a beautiful resort property and very clean in a good location! The bed however is very uncomfortable and the staff is not very friendly! The breakfast room service was not brought correctly three times and still didn’t get it right! The balloons from the package love were deflated when decorated and no one gave the money back! It was disappointing in some of these areas!

Good property, but be aware that expectations of a "Resort" should be tempered. It's a close walk to the beach. While there are alot of positives, they openly note that they don't provide typical services or amenities of a full service resort, or hote. Small things like charging for in-room coffee beyond the 2 capsules provided at check in, public areas not cleaned of obvious debris over three days of our stay, no TV in bedroom, no explanation of the property layout or facilitiles,use of a physical key for the safe are all examples of items not be expected. Most are not significant, but do distract from what otherwise would be a fantastic property. There are some great features such as ability to use the property facilities day of checkout, an in-room laundry machine (with no way to decipher how to operate it or instructions), a water therapy area included (but without any ventalation so stiffling in summer with the humidity and heat)... Aside from some minor investments, many of the items could be easily corrected by staff training, improved communication with the guest and engagement, and overall if you are aware of these elements and expect them, it's great property overall.. just not the level of service, attention to detail, or best approach in many cases for a full service resort and very much the management's view (confirmed through staff comments) that they are running an apartement rental property vs a full service hotel is reflecflected in their approach.

The hotel and our room were amazing. The pools were clean and beautiful (although cold). Our only dissatisfaction was we found the staff to be not very friendly or happy. At check in the man checking us in was arguing with another staff member which delayed us. And we had to wait about 20 minutes for a drink at the pool bar when there weren't that many guests even there. The bartender also was arguing with a staff member. I would still stay at this hotel again but hope the service would be better next time.

Beautiful accommodation in beautiful surroundings. The apartment was stunning, well equipped and cleaned daily. The Belmar is a 5 minute walk from the beach. However, the location is quite isolated if you have no car. The nearest mini-market is a 20 minute walk and there are limited bars or restaurants within walking distance although there is a restaurant and a small bar on site. Lagos old town is a 45 minute walk, so a taxi is needed.

This property is great for beach lovers. One of the best beaches in Lagos is a 3 minute walk. The apartments are modern, clean, and comfortable. The breakfasts are amazing and I highly recommend purchasing this option. You will need a rental car for everything else though. The resort is not far to Lagos by car, but not walkable to the rest of Lagos sites and attractions. The staff is also wonderful. I had issue with one staff member at the front desk on one occasion where he was short and seemingly sarcastic, but the rest of the staff I interacted with was simply amazing. I will be coming back to this wonderful place. It is close enough to everything, but far enough to enjoy peace and serenity.

Loved everything about this property. Views and property were beautiful, rooms were spacious, modern, and quiet, easily walkable to a great beach (Praia do Porto de Mos), multiple pool options, and 10 min walk to access the boardwalk that runs to the lighthouse and then the string of beautiful beaches close by (Praia de Camilo, Praia da Ana etc). Very close drive to Old Town which was very charming and had tons of shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend!

Really well situated for Lagos Bay beach, and access into old town. Breakfast was overpriced €25, with a concession only offered for children under 10yrs. Perhaps offer a family breakfast option. Overall excellent Villa type accommodation within a well maintained complex setting.

This was a beautiful resort and our room was amazing. We booked the two bedroom suite and it was huge. We ate lunch one day at the restaurant and it was super. We did an a la carte bfast and were not as impressed. We also had drinks from the bar that were awesome.

Stayed in the one bedroom apartment very well appointed for a long-term. Stay excellent breakfast. Restaurant was closed for dinner, so can't comment on that only complaint would be. Spa needs to be open later at night.
