The rooms were spacious and it’s so nice to have easy parking. If you’re stopping by for tennis, the courts definitely need to be upgraded. Nice big pools though a little cool for my liking.

Stayed for 2 nights as a solo female traveller. Service overall was impeccable. My room was spacious with a giant bed. I'm sensitive to noise and it was very quiet in my room. Food options are very tasty with lots of nutritious options. The breakfast was one of the best I've come across. The hotel gym was well equipped for a hotel gym. The outdoor pool at the spa is adult only for most of the day so that was very welcome as there are quite a few families and young children at the main pool during early June.

Inital room was very dark due to covered outside space. We moved after 1 night as had ants. 2nd room was much better. All the dtaff were great especially in the bars and restsurant. Would recommend the Senses restaurant. The pools are a bit cold and was dusappointing that the beach pool bar was closed our entire stay.

Seems like one of the better properties in the area. Quiet location, good if you have a car so it’s easy to park. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, hotel was clean. Very clean, housekeeping is good. Some of the in room fixtures could be updated or replaced (leaky dishwasher, old caulking). Our first room had a bunch of wall damage from a leak so we had to request a room change and they were quick to facilitate it. Good service.

hotel is maybe 3 stars. Room was not clean up to any standards. bathtub had large chunks of hair coming up from drain when showering from previous guests. carpet was stained throughout room and in the hotel hallways. no poolside service for drinks, etc. Staff was pleasant and they did move us after two nights to a different room for the last night. hotel was full. Would not likely stay again tho due to the rooms. food was good service in restaurants and bar was very good.

The caroet in the hall from the lobby, and into iur room 220 was dirty. The bed was hard as a rock. The privacy curtain between the bedroom and bedroom was as torn. The shower was full of mold. The views, location and breakfast were fantastic. The dining staff during breakfast were not friendly like other places we stayed. Photos taken.

When we were checking into the hotel, we were bounced around to several different staff, which was fine as we weren’t in a rush, but just generally felt quite disorganized and not very welcoming. We stayed in one of the apartment style rooms, which was very spacious with a living room and kitchen. However, the room itself and hotel seem like they are really in need of an update which made it seem unclean. When we arrived to our room, there was a stream of ants entering from a crack in the patio door, through the living room and bedroom and into the bathroom. The hotel and cleaning staff were quick to remedy the situation; however, not a great way to start the stay and we found at least one ant in our bed every night. We only ended up eating in a hotel restaurant once for a small snack as the prices here are significantly higher than the restaurants found in town. The hotel is in a quiet, secluded area and nice for walks to the bluffs, but if you are wanting to be in the town of Lagos, this is not the place for you. Definitely not a 5 star resort.

This property is not a 5 star. It’s at best 3.5 stars. Our room was spacious and comfortable and mostly clean but there was significant mold around the tub. The water in the shower was luke warm our entire stay. The baseboard kept falling off in the kitchen when we tried to open cabinets. The curtains in the living area were filthy. It’s a nice property with lots of smmenitirs and a beautiful coastal walking path with amazing views.

We came back from dinner on our first night to find ants all over our bags in our room. We call the front desk and have to convince them to give us another room. We walk in that room…more ants! Everywhere. They assign to a third room, in the hotel and not the outer buildings, where there are no ants. Service at the restaurant was rough. The waiter forgot a couple things and spent most of the night talking to another couple and ignoring the rest of us. Just an overall bad experience. The sights are nice but everything else was lacking. Would not recommend.

Gaslighting, Bugs, Cold water and Mildew at a “Five Star Luxury Resort.” Cascade "Wellness" Center is NOT even close to a Five-Star Luxury resort. And the management knows this. Shame on them. They should be advertised as "Rustic cabin homes" not "Five Star Luxury Apartments/Villas." We stayed at the “luxury” two-bedroom Apartments—the apartment was smelly, old, and worn. Stains of all varieties on the furniture, scratched up chairs and tables, mildew in both closets, silverfish bugs in glassware in the kitchen, dishwasher that didn’t close properly, water running out of the washing machine(we were gaslighted by front desk staff who told us that wasn't possible), ice cold showers, mold-stained balcony and chairs, and the list goes on and on. These apartments are well-worn Holiday Inn Airport quality. We were shocked by the condition of the apartment and asked to be moved to another apartment but were told that we “had the standard two bedroom” or whatever that means. We booked through Expedia, so I guess that meant we had to be put into the worst apartment they had. Nowhere on their website does it differentiate between “standard” two bedroom. They are just called “Two Bedroom Apartments.” We didn’t have a “pool or resort view” as they advertised. Just ripped green tarp around a field and views of cars parked on the street. Cascade “Wellness” Center is a Three Star resort--at best. It's 2 star for no hot water, mildew, bugs and run down "luxury" apartments.

This hotel is expensive. Extremely. Drinks are expensive, food is expensive, and that’s fine. However, our A/C turned itself off every 20 minutes. This issue remained unresolved during our 3 night stay. It made for uncomfortable and troubled sleep. For such a pricey hotel, I would expect a working A/C in July. We had great conversations with Carlos, a bartender, and that was the highlight of the property. That being said, I would not stay here again. It does not have an accessible beach and is not walkable to town if you have trouble climbing hills. Additionally, they will not arrange a cab for you if you ask. I would try to find something more accommodating in the Algarve next time.

My recent stay was exceptional. The staff were super friendly, full dressed with a smile whenever they greeted us and very helpful, while the rooms were comfortable and meticulously maintained on a daily basis. The resort also offers a diverse range of amenities designed to cater to various preferences. We particularly enjoyed the breathtaking sunsets and the picturesque Lagos landscape from the rear of the property. I am definitely staying hereagain.

The hotel property was conveniently located along a walking trail to Ponta de Piedade which was great. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Only a few odds and ends with the room - our A/C did not work for two of the three nights (filter needed to be changed and wasn’t until we notified the sfaff), and both showers had malfunction (one flooded the bathroom, the other fluctuated in temperature between freezing cold and scalding hot). Otherwise we had a great stay.

This is definitely an upscale place. Very large apartments with great living/dining area and full kitchen with washer/dryer. We had two bedrooms and the master had a king bed which was very comfortable (they called it a double because it's two twins together). The second bedroom had two separate twins which was perfect for our two boys AND a full bathroom! It's very well located close to the water and cliffs, and the Ponta de Piedade which is a must see/walk. There is also a driving range with chipping/putting areas which was a fun way to spend some free time! 15 Euros for a full day's worth (cheaper than 2 full baskets of balls). Also an easy drive into Lagos which was a very pretty city with nice historic walking downtown and good restaurants. I would recommend renting a car and do some day trips. We rented from Lisbon, which allowed us to go golfing one day and kayaking in Benagil another day, and also to pick up food and groceries. A few things that were a little disappointing: - Of the three (beautiful) pools, only one was heated and it was the adults' only pool so our kids could not swim. And since our trip was in late February and the other pool temperatures were about 10C/50F. - There were ants in our room. Little ones, but they got into our luggage and stuff. Hopefully it's not like that in all the room, but ours was on the second floor. We stopped leaving our stuff on the ground. - WiFi is not very fast and often cuts out. But all in all a very nice place.

Heatwave across Europe and the entire hotel had no air conditioning. During the day was less of an issue because we were mostly outside but sleeping was HORRIBLE! Very difficult to sleep in 30 degree temps! And they said they could only offer a free (substandard) buffet for our inconvenience. Terrible customer service.

Cascade Wellness Resort was beautiful, relaxing, and had such nice staff. The food on the property was delicious. There were walking paths all around to beautiful cliffs, you’re about a 20-30 minute walk to downtown Lagos, and a ten minute walk to a beautiful beach—but you don’t even need to leave because the pool and spa areas are so nice!

The location and room and amenities and staff were amazing! The resort is a well run operation with staff that are very supportive and able to answer. Any questions you have. The breakfast buffet was definitely a five star feature and while we were only able to stay for a couple of days we would definitely go back there again and recommend to others. We did have a car rental so we’re able to venture out further than the local area but if you didn’t, you could still walk to the three or four feature beaches to see the caves and grotto that are nearby. A highlight of our 15 day vacation!

The hotel was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. The food and the service was mixed. Breakfast was amazing. Staff are friendly but one person in particular didn’t seem to give the same high level of service as others, and would automatically assume that we leave a tip (which is listed as optional). In fact the dining experience on 2 occasions was really really slow (as in waiting 45minutes for a dish of spaghetti bolognese, bread and goats cheese and a tomato salad, when there was around 10 people in the restaurant! And still they entered the amount in the card machine to include the tip!) you can easily get to the marina and eat at a nice restaurant for nearly half the amount. Location was excellent, the pool was lovely, and would probably stay again (although a refurb wouldn’t go amiss).
