Comfortable stay whilst visiting Bicester Village. Free parking but electric charging is payable, Hotel is well maintained and clean. Bed was comfortable we had the luxury large room. Breakfast options was standard with breakfast with limited cereals and pastries and cold section. Free access to spa and gym. Would stay here again if in the area.

Hotel facilities and breakfast were good. The staff were friendly. The golf course surroundings and outdoor courtyards were nice. Good restaurant and bar, the pool was good. The rooms were slightly dated although a generous size. The bed was very soft which made the join very noticeable and distracting.

This place is a hidden gem. The gym overlooks the golf course, the pool and spa facilities were wonderful. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was well presented and delicious. It was surprising that the restaurant wasn't busy as we thought the service and food was great and it definitely met our standards regarding quality, presentation and tasty.

Hotel was really nice with a few minor things that would bring it up. Reception staff were great, room was lovely, loads of parking and bar food and restaurant food excellent …. Bar staff good too … lots of silly little things just tainted the experience … no fridge or safe in room; toilet seat was not slow close (I know, sounds crazy, but not when you have dropped it at 2am in the morning .. everywhere has slow close), pool table takes £ 1 coins, but bar is cashless, so if you don’t have the coins you can’t play, and when you do, the cues have no decent tips and there is no chalk … if yo7 are gonna have a pool table, then cater for it !!! More beds required around pool … the chairs are no good … people want a bed… breakfast .. well, it just wasn’t smooth; no latte option, the hot buffet just never kept up … 1st morning Friday, no milk, no beans, no eggs, 3 bits of bread left, no juice glasses … room didn’t get serviced one morning because I didn’t leave a sign outside, but should be automatic in my opinion …. Having said all this, still enjoyed the Hotel and would still recommend it, but management just need to improve certain areas of the experience

Good location with pool/spa facilities - room spacious. Only lets itself down by exterior windows being dirty especially around bar area & needing a bit of TLC around the place. Our bathroom needed attention especially the bath & shower glass/mirror smeared But....was good value for money & would stay again for location

Very disappointing. Paid £271 for executive room on a Saturday night. Room was dated, carpets smelly, TV tiny and from around 2001, no fridge, definitely NOT executive. Hotel is very tired and run down. Carpets are all old and smelly. Looks like hotel hasn’t been touched for 25+ years. The room was worth £120 no more. Will never stay there again. Staff are very good. Lovely guy called David is very attentive and new manager seems genuinely concerned at the condition but the owners need to pull their fingers out and spend some money. It’s terrible! The setting is lovely. The spa and pool are ‘ok’ but tired. Rooms simply terrible! Food was also terrible. Barely edible and over priced.

This hotel is definetley NOT a 4-star. I would say it is 3-star at the most. Rooms are very dated. Felt like I was stepping back in time to the 80's... worn out tired looking carpets. Room lacking the amenities expected from any modern or 4-start hotel. Poor cleanliness. Spa facilities, okay. Again, lacked cleanliness. Swimming pool was fairly dirty. Bar service at the hotel literally non-existent. Don't expect to be served quickly or with a smile. You are better off visiting some of the quaint smart gastro-pubs nearby. The only positive I can say about this hotel is the restaurant. Food was great courtesy of a very good chef.

The hallway smell was awful near the rooms, it smelled like mold. They need to replace the carpets in the hallways immediately. And have candles going or something to cover up the smell in the hallways in the meantime.

There was an issue with our booking and, although eventually sorted, the staff were chaotic and unprofessional. Bar restaurant was understaffed. My caesar salad arrived with no dressing and I ate it eventually with just a fork as there was no staff to ask for cutlery. We were upgraded due to the mix up but the room was just large - not particularly nice. The four poster bed had cobwebs all around the top. This hotel was overpriced and I would not recommend. The only thing we enjoyed was getting our electric car charged to get away the next morning!

Room ( 16) was supposed to be adjacent to my family ( 15) but was in different side of the building and necessitated me having to go outside the main corridoor to the exterior and walk through the garden area , difficult in the dark and cold after coming from the spa area in a robe. Air conditioning was noisy and my bathroom mirror was cracked right across the corner where it’s held on with clips so dangerous. Also hardly any lights worked in the room , no bulb in bedside lamp and only one small down lighter working in the bathroom. Tried to ring firm up reception but no one answered for well over 5 minutes. Eventually went down to reception and reported it but no lights fixed until the following evening and then only after reporting it agsin to the cleaner in the morning. Bathroom mirror needs replacing. Woukd expect more from a modern hotel of this quality and price range.

Reasonable (superior) room, if a little dated. Good space for clothing etc. and the bed was pretty big too. Just a shame about the staff. Particularly I felt for Ivan in the bar who was generally quite diligent but was just one person whom we felt wasn't best treated by colleagues. The staff need to get together as a proper team.

It was overall nice but the room was drafty and the heating was hard to balance because of this and as it was noisy you had to decide weather to be warm or kept awake with the heating on. Even walking to the room it was freezing,typically in a hotel it's warm or even "ish" but it was cold cold. Staff are polite but unorganised and overall if I owned the hotel I wouldn't employ them because customer service just wasn't there. I was even asked to pay for the room on arrival-I'd already paid upon booking! She would have taken my money again if I hadnt informed of this. Had room service but service was poor - half the order was wrong so we ate separately, was told one meal would be free... long story but that was a lie and they have not responded to any of my communications or even honoured the promise. Had they not been incompetent,ignored my contact,had better facilities and room was more together for a 4* it would have been more but it wasn't so it isnt

My mum is 87 and disabled and the check in staff, James especially, and Ian who was identified as the person who would assist us in an emergency were very patient, kind and helpful. The accessible en suite bathroom was excellent and food in the bar was good too. Good graduated steps into the pool and jacuzzis at the spa too. A few things that would improve the hotel would be automatic entrance and exit doors as they were too heavy for my mum to open and didn't stay open for her and her walker to go through so she needed accompanying everywhere. Also, some blankets in the room would be helpful n case needed - although when we called reception to ask for one for my mum who wasn't warm enough in bed, an extra duvet was brought to our room within minutes. Some of the doors/window frames at the back of the hotel near the terrace overlooking the lovely lake need repainting as they look a little tired. Some paper room service menus, coffee bags instead of instant coffee in the room, instructions on the lockers (we had to ask spa users) and a water dispenser with cups in the spa would be lovely. Only minor things though and didn't spoil a lovely stay.

We had unpleasant guests continuously knocking at our door, however when the issue was raised to the staff the complaint was not acknowledged. Then there was another issue with the hot water, for 2 days the entire building was out of hot, we were unable to use the hotel facilities and unable shower with hot water, although both issues were out of the hotel’s control, they were both terribly handled by the font office staff and especially the duty manager. A complaint was emailed to the hotel couple weeks later and as expected no response and no follow ups.

I found the hotel to be very short staffed and a bit unorganised. I rang the hotel several times and no one answered my calls. Also no one returned my calls. The room was nice and clean and the food was what you would expect. Although they ran out of ham for the ham sandwich so had to have cheese! To be honest the staff tried there best but just under staffed

Second visit to this hotel and really enjoyed the comfortable bed, lovely spa and good bar food. It is a little remote so not ideal if you need to be right on top of things but the nearby town of Bicester covers that.

Booked this hotel for the spa and its proximity to Bicester Village. Drive up to the hotel is along an imposing tree lined drive, very pleasant. Car park is more than ample for cars and has CCTV security cameras. Reception was all decked out in Christmas decorations and felt warm and cosy. We booked a Superior Room number #2 with four poster bed and outside balcony. The room was freezing cold when we entered and the bed spread all crumpled and smelled of stale sweat. Not the best start! We went to the spa for a few hours and that was fine until the noisy kids 4pm-6pm swimming club started! Not the relaxation zone we wanted. The bar was deserted so we went into Gray's restaurant where one other coupe were dining, again a very large and cold room. We ordered gnocchi and chicken which was just OK and nothing special. We both slept well and by now room had warmed up, thank goodness. Breakfast was a little bland and coffee served in a large canteen style boiler with hot water in pots. This is fine for a golfer's quick breakfast but not good for a four star hotel at £180/night. All in all a pleasant stay but left us very underwhelmed and should have been a lot better stay for the price.

Lovely area, hotel looks lovely, but our bathroom flooded when using the shower. Breakfast was limited as the coffee and milk ran out and wasn’t replaced due a while. The eggs and beans ran out. The restaurant had tv on during our meal.
