We stay at Bicester hotel and spa regularly. We book using various different websites for the best value. This was our first time booking with hotels.com. We booked a standard room and it was advertised that the breakfast was included. One arrival to the hotel we were asked what time we would be having breakfast the following morning. We chose 9.30am and went about our afternoon using the facilites. On arriving at breakfast we were told we didn’t have breakfast booked and it wasn’t included on our booking. This happened to another few people that arrived after us. Eventually the hotel agreed to honor the breakfast as I was able to show that it says it’s included when you book, although isn’t actually on the receipt or booking confirmation. The hotel said they have been having this issue over the last month. Room was a little tired but I believe the hotel are working on re decorating the rooms as I stayed in one that had been freshened up the last time I stayed. Staff were friendly although seemed a little fed up with the new booking systems. Breakfast was disappointing, they have changed from buffet to à la carte. Breakfast was cold and slow to arrive. Then half of one full English was missing and brought out once we had finished. Continental was minimal, next to no choice. We have stayed here many times and this was the worst breakfast we have had here. Such a shame.

Upon arrival I was waiting at reception for a while I thought reception staff was dealing with another guest, turned out it was another member of staff they were just chatting to. Room needs upgrading, lack of power points/usb ports near to bed for phone charging. Bath trim mouldy. After having breakfast was escorted to reception because incorrect details on system- luckily they decided not to charge me again for breakfast for a £200 per night room

Really helpful staff, spa and gym were really well equipped, although one of the footie spa unit was missing a plug. Restaurant on Saturday night struggled with orders however food was very nice when it arrived. Rooms very clean and spacious.
