The hotel is more of budget hotel rather than a luxury hotel. There is no gym or swimming pool, or any other amenities you would think ok. The staff are not rude but they all feel like tired of their job and very cold. I think there might be a manpower shortage as well as there was no one helping you with the luggage at all during our stay. The breakfast is so bad and I advise people to eat elsewhere. The room seriously needs a refresh.

We really liked this unique property! The rooms are not especially large, but they are very nice. It is like a high end boutique hotel. The room had a small fridge with waters and sodas that were complimentary. Also they had a happy hour with free snacks and drinks from 5 to 6 each day. It is about 5 or 6 blocks from two different MRT stations, Da’an and Xinyi Anhe. So, it’s easy to get around Taipei.

Our room was very comfortable. This is a great boutique hotel in Taipei. There was a desk, chair, refrigerator, a good amount of storage space built in to the wall unit. The bathroom was well apportioned with an automatic toilet and luxury shower equipped with 3 different spray heads. The location is a 5-10 minute walk to the Da’an metro station, and several bus lines have stops even closer. This makes it very convenient to travel around Taipei. The breakfast buffet was tasty with both ready available foods as well made to order egg dishes and coffee drinks. They also have a 5 o’clock happy hour. This is a great hotel for visiting Taipei.

This a strange review because I actually extended the stay from 1 to 3 days because staff is wonderful. However the room is outdated and there was mold on the toilet bidet and the shower heads. Also the auto toilet, lights, and ac kept flickering so I began to think the room was haunted. It was quite loud. I would recommend that if you get a bad room to immediately ask the front to change it for you.

I was staying in room 801, the air conditioner is very noisy and cold, we could not set the temperature to higher degrees like 25 but it was kept at 21 for hours. The air conditioner was kept noisy even I turned it off. It was really affecting our sleeping quality. Overall, the room is not perfect but it is still good and clean.

We enjoyed our stay. Yes, the Hotel Eclat is definitely eclectic. The sculptures at the front of the hotel and in the lobby are a curiosity. The rooms are quite nice. There is extra attention to detail in the cabinetry and lighting. And some high tech as well, with the TV, sound system and TOTO toilet. There were a couple of features that were interesting elements of design but could have been more practical. There was no shower door, so we had to be vigilant to not allow water to splash into the bathroom. And the clock … just a little hard to tell the time! We found the staff at the front desk and in the lobby to be excellent. They are definitely pleasant and accommodating to our needs.

Decent comfortable stay. I would say the property is quite ‘cheap’ in their approach. Extra charge for Nespresso pods, writes down you room number to borrow umbrellas etc. The property is also run down… Showers were hard to adjust, the sink sprays water, temperature in room was fixed (tried adjusting, stays at 20 and will not move)…

This is my second time staying at this hotel during my trip to Taiwan, and I’ve stayed here for around 7 nights. The hotel is located in a great environment, surrounded by excellent restaurants. The area feels more upscale. something you can sense from the residential buildings nearby. All the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I received good care from the team, especially after an unexpected accident. they were truly supportive throughout. The hotel amenities are also excellent, featuring products from Jo Loves with their signature scent.

The hotel front doors are very heavy and hard to open especially when guests arrives with luggage(s), plus there isn’t any staff to offer any assistance ( may be it’s a small hotel, there’s no bellman available). The room was clean. The shower was not working well as nice as it looks. The front desk and the cafe (where served breakfast) staffs weren’t as friendly and polite as they should. This is my third time stayed there, my impression is the spirit of the hotel staffs aren’t warmed as it used to be.

酒店位置距離核心購買圈約10分鐘步行距離，但我住宿當日是天氣非常炎熱，所以行過去有一點吃力。飯店附近環境比較幽靜，但亦有不少高質食肆和酒吧值得發掘看看。飯店外型10分優美，裝修佈置非常有品味，服務人員和前台人員都非常熱心幫忙。房間相當大樓底亦高，但裝修比較奇怪，浴室和如廁地方共用一扇門，如果洗澡期間其他一個人要上廁所就比較不方便。洗手間不是完全封閉式的洗手盆，和睡眠區之間沒有間隔，從睡床可以直接看到廁所梳洗枱，感覺比較奇怪。這設計亦令房間比較潮濕，冷氣不太足夠，房間比較悶熱。

A beautiful, boutique luxury hotel with cool, artistic vibe. Lots of attention to detail ensures that everything down to the bed sheets, and the room furnishing feel luxurious. The staff was fantastic. I stay at over 100 hotels each year, and this was such an outstanding experience that I will not forget. It’s a 3-minute walk to the MRT, and tons of cute cafes all around. Just stay here, you wont regret it.

Don't be fooled by the photos. Not sure why this is in the "Small Luxury Hotels" group because it doesn't belong! Besides the quirky artwork in the lobby, there's nothing special about this place, and it's not convenient to the metro. It's in a pretty dead area. Our room also had a malfunctioning light that would flicker in the middle of the night and a clicking sound that kept us awake. We mentioned these to the front desk and they tried to remedy the light but said the clicking sound was our air conditioning. The issues were not resolved and no apology was made. We asked to switch rooms but they were completely full. I would not recommend this hotel.

First trip to Taipei. Good location. 17 min walk to Taipei 101. Uber to some places, MRT to others. Hotel was luxury boutique with extremely modern technology. Quirky decor in lobby, but I liked it. Great service. Mattress excellent, would stay here again. I extended for 8 nights

The location was great, walking distance to many places and a lot of food nearby. Walking distance to MRT station and Taipei101 since my main purpose of the stay was to watch countdown fireworks. The staff were very friendly and profess, services are great and I enjoyed my stay so much. Would definitely come back again.

Eclat's upscale whimsy jumps out at you from the moment you pull-up outside. The decor is sheik with a dose of the hilarious, which echos through the afternoon tea -- a free drink with any of several condiments (Doritos and popcorn on a floral plate with gold leaf, anyone?). Room were modern with fewer whimsical touches, but still some fun (an LED cycling through the rainbow). If I had a critique, it would be that the breakfast buffet was rather predictable.

This is a very nice property. It was convenient to public transportation and the night market. I could do everything I wanted to do by walking. They have a very nice happy hour for guest. I like the offbeat decor too.
