Fantastic stay – would highly recommend! We absolutely loved our stay at The Garland and can echo all the other fantastic reviews it has received. Our room was spotless, spacious and really comfortable. The bathroom was lovely, with a large shower and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The small fridge was also really handy for keeping drinks and snacks chilled. The pool area was fantastic and very well managed, with the number of guests being monitored to make sure it never felt overcrowded. We also ate at the bar a couple of times and thought the food was excellent, with good portions and very reasonable prices. The trolley to Universal runs every hour and made getting to the park an absolute breeze. The hotel is also really well located for exploring Hollywood and the wider LA area. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, which really added to the experience. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend The Garland. We’d happily stay here again!

Great hotel on the whole. Lovely pool area and amenities but the rooms were not quite as impressive. We unfortunately got a room on the side of the freeway and the noise was quite loud, which did dampen our enjoyment and we couldn’t really sit out on the balcony. I also put some swimwear out on the chairs on the balcony and received a pretty patronising letter about “ruining the aesthetic”, the message printed on the door just said not to hang on the rails so they might want to make the rule clearer rather than telling people off afterwards. These rooms had a literal view of the car park and freeway so not sure what aesthetic I was ruining.
