Motel 6-Roswell, NM

Wasn't the cheapest in town for a reason. And pool was closed sure to some unexplained closure by a state inspector. Didn't get any explanation from manager of the actual reason. Probably water quality.

Having a laundry was a pleasant surprise

A really economical place to stay! The staff was nice, free coffee, a really nice pool/hot tub, clean room & convenient location. We loved thar we could have our dog in this pet friendly hotel.

Overall a good stay. Older hotel, recently remodeled with a couple of draw backs. The beds were full size and not queens, not much room for two people to get comfortable in. Pool was closed due to the state "inspector" shutting them down (4th of July weekend), didn't make sense. The front desk was cheerful and helpful the our whole stay. The housekeeping did an excellent job.

This is a decent hotel for the price. I'm sure there are better options available. It does have a nice swimming pool area. No breakfast. Only coffee was offered in the morning.

Funky, weed like smell on the third floor. Staff was either very nice, or a bit officious depending on who you got at any given time. Pool was cold, spa was broken.

Bathroom toilet didn’t flush properly a great deal of the time. Pool was out of service for our entire stay. Otherwise quite nice. Large room. Great staff. Would stay here again.

It is a Great hotel with a pool and hot tub with Great staff and nice and clean rooms!! I Will be staying there again when I return to Roswell!!

This property was filthy. Roaches in room and halls. Loud at all hours. No hot water. Multiple transients on property. Unsafe. Do not stay here.

The smell of tobacco and illegal smoking substances was very strong in the stairwells. The outside key to the back entrance by the parking did not work. The electrical plugs in the room for charging devices and for the non-functioning fridge were not working. The bathroom was clean. The bed had a roll-away shoved into the corner. I dropped an item on the floor (hardwood) and under the bed was filthy with dust. at 4:50AM the fire alarm started going off. The fire department came. The staff did not come to the residential rooms to stay either it was a malfunction or an actual emergency. After 15 minutes of shrill ringing, we obviously couldn't sleep, so we left while it was still dark.

The staff is excellent! Now to the bad stuff, the beds are horrible, the room was not clean to my standards. There was a roach in the bathroom. No hairdryer, no iron, no coffee pot in the room. TV did not work half the time. Ice machine broke on day three. But the staff, saved that trip. They were so kind and professional. top-notch staff, one star hotel. Will not stay again. Do not recommend.

The afternoon lady that checked me in was nice and helpful. Even holding the door open for me. The reason she held the door open was there wasn't an automatic door for handicap. The handicap room i was in had mold all over the bathroom. The door to the room was difficult to go in and out when I was in my chair

I was really disappointed about have bugs. I had a huge one in my hair after sitting up from a pillow a was laying on. Then seeing all over the room was really gross. No one has mowed around the property in a while

This has to be the cleanest Motel 6 I've ever been to. Great job!

I was in the last room on the first floor and the door that goes outside does not close properly/all the way so it kept waking me up slamming. Also microwave was pretty gross and mold in clean shower. I decided not to shower there. I stopped observing the room after that scared of what i might find. You get what you pay for. The front desk staff was polite tho so theres that!

The sheets and pillow cases had hair and bodily fluids all over them. They had not been cleaned since the last guest. The towels had yellow stains on them and one of them was slightly wet so it had been used. I went to the front desk and told her and said I would change the sheets myself and she didn't care. She didn't apologize, offer to change them for me, didn't express any empathy about the situation. I know it's motel 6 y'all but come on. At least change the sheets, that's literally the bare minimum. The bed was also hella squeaky, like couldn't even move on it without waking every surrounding neighbor.

The only thing I didn't like was that the non smoking floor smelled alot like cigar in the hallways and the smell kind of seeped into the room

I didn’t sample the foods so I can’t say. However, the beds are not very comfortable.

The bed was terribly uncomfortable and the halls reeked of cigarette smoke. The shower took about 20 minutes to get warm and dripped a pretty steady stream all night.

Nice to get to and back on the road. Not fond of the pot smell. Also fridge didn’t work and A/C was super load and not very cold

The room itself was fine. Nice surprise that there were 3 beds. Property has smoking rooms, so elevator and hallways smell a bit gross. Staff was ok, not overly friendly. Wasnt expecting much for a motel 6. Problem was the thiness of the walls. We were in a room with a connecting door and we could hear the people in the adjoinging room like they were right there with us. Sounded like a few young guys; just a nonstop flow of obscenities and f bombs. We're all adults, so whatever, but a family with kids would've wanted to leave. Dogs in the neighbor behind us barked all night. We slept with ear plugs.

Clean and quiet… First room I’ve ever seen with 3 beds

You can hear everything everyone else is doing in the room next door.... Everything... It was not a quiet stay. The hotel reeked of pot and cigarettes. Bed was totally uncomfortable. Shower has a weird brown spot around the drain. Should have spent the extra $29 for Holiday inn. Front desk lady was nice.

We reserved a double room. It's my husband and I and our two teen kids, so the thought is that they would share a bed. It was a WONDERFUL surprise to find three beds, especially since it was only our second night in the US after a long international trip and we were just exhausted!

The room was clean and efficient but very sparse. Good for an overnight but not extended stay

Neighbors where doing drugs and being very loud until 6 am.parting and doing drugs..called and went to recectionist to tell them to keep it down.and they told me are you sure your hearing something. There no one in that room.when i can clearly hear a woman and 2 mans.they didn't believe me all night.until i called once agian to reception amd invites them to my room to hear the nonsense.then they admited people going to party there.i had to leave the property and demanded a full refund. Cause they decided to keep their friends there.they keep me up all night and all they keep talking about some pills called blues

Guy at front desk was rude and made some uncalled for coments complaints have been made was a horriable stay

I reserved a room a month prior and when I got there, there’s no record of that, show them my confirmation number and my itinerary number, but nothing was in the computer so I’m waiting for my refund, I had to pay cash for a room that night and I have all the info but it seems like you guys have ghosted me after the second email

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the property was quite. I would stay here again.

In my view all true businesses are about people and your staff was refreshingly service minded. I would add that except in rare cases, that’s because the staff is well treated by management so I congratulate you all! Thanks for the type of stay that nearly perfectly suited my needs!

We always stay at Motel 6 when we travel with our dogs. Close to everything and the employees were great. The lady at the front desk was so nice and helpful. We'll definitely stay here next time we come through town.

The worker, Julia I believe her name was, was great. I had drove over 650 miles to get to Roswell, and was tired and hungry. She got me checked in quickly, and offered advice where to eat. The next day, she was very helpful in giving me places to check out in the Roswell area, and even went as far as to check the weather for me, since I had made the trip on a motorcycle. For a motorcycle traveler, I highly recommend staying at this hotel, there were seveeral other travelers on bikes too at the time, and we all had a good time there.

It's a bit more run down than the photographs on the site. But it is still a decent place to stay. Bed was comfortable, good hot shower great design for towel storage so you can grab one without dripping water everywhere. Has a fridge, microwave. Its own laundry mat where washing machines and driers cost $1.50. There is a pool but it was closed. Kudos for hiring a nice fella with a disability who cleans rooms. Walmart to the north about 10 mins walk, other closer supermarkets heading south. About half an hour walk to Alien souvenir shops area of main street. Anderson Musuem of Contemporary Art is a slight detour off main street about half way there, and is quite impressive. Roswell public library is also quite interesting, has a dragon. But aliens, well Alien Zone is the best place, for $5 you can visit and photograph a recreation of Area 51. Also has cheaper shirts and merchandise than the UFO Museum and Research Center which wasn't anywhere near as good, although does have a cool alien autopsy with mannequins display. The local (Main Road route) bus stops pretty much right outside Motel 6 meaning you can get to the airport for 75c. However if like me you caught the last flight for the night to Roswell, well you'll pay $37.40 for a taxi, and it won't be waiting at the airport you'll have to ring for one and wait there when everyone else at the airport has gone home, thinking, well if there really are alien abductions, this is the type of scenario it will happen in.

Nice clean room, easy access, convenient location, strong water pressure, nice hot shower, safe area, many restaurants nearby, friendly staff. Need to bring your own shampoo (only 2 little soaps provided). Won’t hesitate to stay here again

I made the mistake of booking this location which was far from the part of town I needed to be in. Across Roswell….maybe 25 mins travel. It’s a typical Motel 6. You get what you pay for, but they always allow my dog so it’s a trade off. Safe area. Super close to Walmart and other shopping. Wouldn’t be my first pick if I return to Roswell, but within my budget and acceptable.

Good motel 6 , but some weird people hanging around on parking lot. Door of room also does not close well

The property was close to many amenities. The service was excellent. Easy to find and travel from and to.

The property was nice overall. The room was spacious and clean, there was a wall mounted TV so it doesn’t take up counter space and there is a mini-fridge. The bathroom is large so you are not crammed in there, the water pressure is good and water stays hot. My children and I especially liked the pool, it is indoors and well kept. This is a great place for an overnight stay, possibly two nights but if I had planned on staying longer I would have looked for a suite or a VRBO. Downside, there is no breakfast and the coffee is not good, but who stays in a motel for the coffee😜

didn't like -- no breakfast, but they did have coffee and tea and vending machines no carpet but this is what made it perfect for a dog friendly motel lots of fast food restaurants nearby, as well as some regular restaurants -- a lot of choices

Wasn’t a bad property for it being what it was, just a place to sleep. Don’t offer any kind of breakfast but coffee and maybe some pastries

This is an excellent value! We will stay here every time we’re in Roswell. This is a well-managed, clean, quiet hotel. We were very pleased. There is no breakfast but it should not be expected at this rate. There is good coffee in the lobby with take-out cups.

Pool heated but a bit cloudy. Pool towels available. Hot breakfast, biscuits, sausage, etc. Parking area clean and spacious
