We stayed in a wide variety of places during a 2-week tour of Ireland, and this was one of our favorite guesthouses. Loved the restaurant and bar just downstairs, and everything was well-maintained and convenient.

Overall a lovely place to stay in the centre of all the action. The hotel breakfast is definitely worth it. Their Hotel guide states that they have room service but apparently it’s a misprint - it’s not available. It also says they have laundry facilities but they don’t. We were there during a Bank Holiday weekend so the local laundrettes were closed, but there are self service washing machines and driers available at the Market Cross car park that are clean and efficient. We had a Superior Double room which was very spacious. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay in Kilkenny. bed was a little hard. Location is great. VERY CLEAN.! Air conditioning worked perfectly. If you have mobility issues this may not be the place for you unless they have an elevator i didn't know about. We had to lug our bags up a few different staircases which is fine if you can handle that kind of mobility.

The car park and location were great for Kilkenny centre. Our apartment was a great base to explore from. The main bed was lovely but the sofa bed wasn’t particularly comfortable for a good night’s sleep as it creaked loudly every time you moved. We also found the noise from outside or other rooms was very loud and travelled through the walls easily. There was also an emergency exit sign above the hotel door which lit up so brightly throughout the night that it was like daylight! This would be fine if you weren’t sleeping on the sofa bed and were only in the main bedroom. The room was well equipped with toaster, air fryer, plates and cutlery. Overall a useful base for exploring the town and having a bit of extra space than just a hotel room but wouldn’t recommend sleeping on the sofa bed.
