The property overall was dirty and grimy, looks lovely from a distance but up close was definitely to personal to say the least!! Jacuzzi wasnt working the whole 3 days we were there, we stayed in a family room amd it was so noisy and had no air con for 3 days which we got told on the 8th of june there was air con not working in only certain rooms and we stayed 25th to 27th of july and still wasnt working. Pool area was so damp and dirty. The extractor fan also wasnt working in our bathroom. We have pictures to show this! We ordered food at the bar, 40 minutes later still no show of 2 jacket potatoes which was ordered, my husband checked at the bar to ask was there a wait and they replyed yes, he explained we have been waiting 40 minutes so they checked and said it didnt get sent through to the kitchen although we paid , they then rectified this for us but offered us 1 drink to " apologise " Considering all them were the things we was dissapointed in, the stay was in a good location and if all those things didnt happen it would of been 100%

Clean, good size rooms which have been refurbished. Please note the photos are not uptodate and show rooms with bath tubs. ALL rooms now have showers which did not meet our needs. Helpful staff. We booked this hotel to enjoy the leisure facilities. The hot tub is limited to jets from the bottom only & being unmanned enabled clients to spit around it which was rather gross. Small but pleasant steam room & sauna. Showers were out of order on our visit. The leisure facilities need updating. The hotel has a pleasant area to sit outside which has both shade & full sun areas. Nice areas to sit inside too.

I specifically booked this hotel as it had a pool. As we were staying on New Year’s Day, I called the hotel to make sure that the pool was open to which the receptionist said it was. When we arrived the pool was closed! A family room with a pull out sofa bed. The most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in with an old quilt that wasn’t big enough to cover me. I made a complaint to Hotels.com but had no help! I made a complaint to receptionist but had no help! Overall very disappointed with both Hotels.com and the Holiday Inn!!!

After a truly terrible booking experience with Hotels.com I was little dubious about our stay but it was brilliant from start to finish. The interior of the hotel is beautiful, modern, fresh, as are the rooms. We had a family room which was ideal, a small fridge which had been stocked with some goodies. All the staff are friendly, the food was amazing. Breakfast was my boys favourite! The only slight thing which lets the hotel down is the pool, it needs a refresh! They seem to have renovated the whole hotel but not the pool. Also worth noting to check the timetable in the pool as we went only to be told it was closed for aquafit which wasn’t advertised anywhere in the leaflet given to us by reception. We can’t wait to return!

Quick check in with pleasant staff. Nice room which was very warm with no air con. Would benefit from opening windows & keeping curtains drawn during day to keep rooms cooler. Great size tv with good choice of chanels. Comfy bed & good bathroom but a little small. Public areas have been refurbished to a good standard & bar areas are great. The only critsm is the spa which was grubby overall particularly around the pool where there was dirty looking flakes of paint around the vents & cracks in the ceiling. Also the jacuzzi was not working & has been out of order for some time.

Very nice quick stay. Used the gym and the pool and although both were small they were big enough. The food at the bar was decent and the bed was comfy. All in all very good stay.

Lovely hotel, good amenities . Bar and restaurant had a great feel . Lots of different areas to sit , with the bar being dog friendly. Lovely buffet breakfast. Room was clean and comfy, but a bit dated- maybe because it was a pet friendly room. Very nice comfortable stopover.

Use this hotel occasionally when visiting Birmingham for business. I like the fact it has a spa & I can have a swim. Each time I have stayed my experience has been different from poor to good & I generally mark it down on cleanliness. My visit this week was no exception, my room in the lower basement was the worst I have ever stayed in. There were hairs on the bathroom floor & edge of the shower, a piece of stale breadstick under the drawer unit & the bed was the worst hotel bed I have ever slept in, even the base was sagging. I note the hotel seems to be undergoing a refurb and I make the assumption I was allocated one of the older rooms as it was very tired.

On first impressions room looked ok had few flys on curtain pulled curtain across to let them out the whole wall was full of mold was horror find what i saw . Did complain to reception and looking in to refunded me my stay and hopefully do something to that room

Amazing Hotel. Reception staff very professional friendly and helpful. Excellent check-in experience. Hotel is lovely inside and great facilities. There was an event on the evening we arrived and the hotel was full. We were given a room on the road / motorway side and were we concerned about noise from inside and from the road but we couldn’t hear a thing. Double glazed windows plus secondary glazing was very effective. The air con was effective. The room was lovely. We will definitely be going back to this hotel. Highly recommended.

Communal areas of the hotel were beautifully maintained and decorated. The room was ok but sadly let down by the beds which were extremely soft, so much so my daughter sat on it and bounced straight back off and onto the floor. If you like very soft beds then I guess this is perfect for you but for us it was not very comfortable. We did like the choice of a hard or soft pillow on each bed however which was a nice touch! Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken but a heater and fan were placed in the room. Sadly it was a very warm day and the heater had been left on before we arrived so the room was like a furnace making it quite uncomfortable to sleep even with the fan on all night. The general condition of the room was clean but there were some hairs found on bedding, towel's, in shower and on bedside table and the inside of the bathroom door had dirty hand marks all around by the handle which was a little gross. We were only staying one evening so didn’t bother contacting staff so cannot comment on how this would have been rectified. Breakfast was amazing and the best part of the stay! Huge variety of food, very clean and well organised and the staff were very friendly and professional. An exceptional service, thank you!

Air con system was down and we really struggled with the heat . Which caused a really bad sleeping conditions . The event music kept the kids up untill after midnight on the Saturday night aswell . So what was meant to be a relaxed weekend away was practically sleepless .

Low expectations when driving into the hotel as the carpark surface was full of potholes and the exterior of the hotel was very tatty, tired and in need of repair. Pleasantly surprised when entering reception. The hotel has been updated and is modern and clean. Rooms have also been refurbished and are up to date.

Was woken at 5.40am due to the bins being emptied outside our room and all the bottles clanging. At checkout wasn’t asked how the stay was etc. I reported the air con fault and bring women at 5.30am but the staff didn’t seem bothered. Overall hotel has a lot of potential but staff need better training. Air conditioning needs fixing. Bins shouldn’t be collected in the early hours waking guests!

Check in was late at 2pm, and hotel wanted £30 for earlier check in which is extortion, so this caused inconvenience as we were attending a wedding locally. Breakfast was £16.50 and self service, which again we didnt bother due to price. All in all hotels now generallly are overcharging at any opportunity, and if customers continue to accept these unjustified charges it will continue. Room was small and bit rundown, not great stay at all, go elswhere if you can.

Booked breakfast and dinner option was really impressed. Great selection on the menu and value for money was great. Hotel was spotless clean and the staff were lovely, nothing too much trouble. I did notice the pool area had a few broken tiles and was needing a little TlC but overall okay.

My husband Matthew and l arrived at the hotel early evening. It had been a very long, hot tiring day. I explained that we had booked additional on the Friday due to having to do some meetings for work, as well as the Saturdays original booking. I asked if we could stay in the same room for 2 nights. Ahmed who had greeted us ,was AMAZING, and sorted all that out for us , and made sure we had a room with air con. Professional, warming and welcoming , nothing was to much trouble. Amazing other staff who were like family , it had a family feeling in the hotel ,so comforting and warm welcoming.

Great convenient location. Clean and well equipped room. Good leisure facilities. Organisation could be improved - asked for a cot to be provided at booking, again prior to arrival, and on arrival and assured it would be in room. Not present and had to wait for staff to find it. Watch out for large pot holes in the car park!

We arrived very late as it was a last minute booking. The hotel itself was lovely , very clean and modern! The only issue we had was , there was a planned power cut at midnight which we was not informed of ...so we did think we had tripped a fuse , until we walked downstairs and saw a few other concerned people. On another note , can confirm the fire saftey lights etc work. All in all it was a lovely stay and we would definitely go back.

Few feedback points including better training for young bar staff-served cloudy beer (sent back) G & T in a dirty glass ( sent back) wanted my husband to pay for the drinks before issues sorted ! Unfortunately the stay was let down by the staff, the hotel itself is nice! Pool a bit outdated but does the job! We waited a hour to be checked in, and were told our room wasn’t ready. We then waiting further time while the attendant cleaned the room approx 30 mins. Wasn’t what is expected of a IHG hotel.

Very affordable considering it has a lot of facilities that far more expensive properties would have (e.g swimming pool, buffet breakfast, etc). Some I am sure are critical of the fact that some surfaces might need a second coat of paint or tiles to be modernised around the pool, but we won’t be. As a family we couldn’t ask for more, we had a quiet, ground floor room with comfortable beds, access to the leisure centre and free breakfast and meals for the children during our stay. There are even board games to play in the lounge and child friendly options and colouring packs at breakfast time. Staff were always courteous and friendly and clearly work hard as we found the same people waiting on or attending to us over the three days that we stayed! The hotel is really well located for close drives to Warwick, Stratford and West Midland Safari Park so for us as a family, it achieved everything we wanted it to be.

Great hotel. From the outside, looks quite rundown. The potholes in the carpark are awful. I was pleasantly surprised as soon as i entered the hotel. Everything looks recently refurbished. Our room was clean and inviting. The bar meals were fantastic as was breakfast the following morning.

I enjoyed my 3 night stay here, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was great, room was very well appointed. I was here for Harvington Hall’s history festival, and this is an easy 10 mins away from the Hall. I would stay here again if I attended the festival in future and I’d recommend it to others too

Reception was, good, room comfort was good, a pity that the restaurant experience was bad. I've been given an uncleaned table, waited ages to order, paid £7.85 for a small glass of poor house merlot (over-priced), got the bill printed on an A4 sheet... quite poor service. Food was good though.

Good hotel looks tired from outside but inside it was very modern and up to date, our room was quite comfortable. The staff were fantastic could not do enough for you. The pool was an area that lets the hotel down, its very tired and run down, however, it was fit for purpose with a working steam room, sauna, and hot tub. The restaurant really didnt make any sense. Usually in hotels you can order food at the bar or have a sit down meal in the restaurant, and normally the restaurant will have the bigger menu. Weirdly it seem the other way around, the choice of meals was far greater at the bar, apart from the fact that the restaurant had a few "specials" (That were not really very special at all, shepherds pie, chicken and chips). Yet all the food came from the same kitchen. As a couple we didnt want to sit in a noisy bar to eat. The restaurant was nice and cosy but sadly empty most nights, and I can see why the choice of food in the bar was more appealing. We ate once in the restaurant the rest of the time we ate out, and had a drink in the bar when we got back. We would have eaten in the hotel far more if the menu was the same as the bar menu. Breakfast had a wide choice of foods, self service couldnt fault it. The hotel is in close proximity to Cadbury World, Black Country Museum, British Motor Museum, Warwick Castle, to name a few attractions.

The facilities were great. The people before us had been smoking in the room and the windows had been left wide open when we arrived. We had a baby with us which we had made the hotel aware of in advance, so would have expected a different room. Breakfast was good. The bar and a coffee service was pretty poor and the only downside to staying at this hotel. We used the QR codes to order food and drink and the food came but we had to prompt the bar staff twice as they were chatting to someone at the bar. After ordering Hot Chocolate the second night it arrived cold and the latte the next morning was cold too. The swimming pool and facilities were great and I would stay there again but the customer service aspect could be better behind the bar.
