The cold water tap was not connected to the cold water, therefore I was unable to get a drink. Think this was a ruse to get me to buy bottled water from reception There was dirty underwear and dicks underneath the wardrobe. I had to get the receptionist to arrange for it to be removed by housekeeping. The room was dusty. This is the second time I have left this feedback on this hotel for this stay. Can I suggest you monitor more carefully feedback already lef.

The room & bedding were very clean. Beds are quite hard but ok for our 1 night stay. No lift available but we were only on the 2nd floor with not much luggage. Quite a distance from city centre, about a £15 uber ride, but we booked late so not much other availability in that price range. Reception staff very nice & helpful. Overall a satisfactory stay.

Very old building with creaking floor boards. Moldy smell. Stained carpet and upholstery. Bathtub dated, stained and lots of rust and mould. Door chain broken so cannot be secured from inside, not good for security if travelling alone. Spring coil mattress, very uncomfortable and noisy as you move around, definitely not changed for years. No phone charging socket around the bed, so had to change phone by placing on the floor. No lifts, so not disabled friendly. Very basic hot drinks facility, kettle not attractive. Mugs and glasses cannot even be matched. The shampoo/handwashing liquid container appears to have been there for years. On ground floor, looked outside the window and was bushes and not maintained. Electric heater only in room. The room was freezing on arrival, had to call for help to switch on. The thermostat on the wall was for decoration. The extractor in the bathroom was just noisy, not effective at all. 2 pillows only and very flat. Only plus was clean sheets and towels. I didn't dear use the towels though. If there is a minus rating, I will. Reception area very unwelcoming, but great staff and quite friendly despite nothing to offer. For a job, I will not like to sit in the reception area. Very depressing. Never again. Was waste of £88 for the night.
