We arrived on the train. Hotel is 10-15 minutes walk maximum. Taxis are £7-&£9 from station to hotel (Aug 25). Rooms are clean, spacious and there is a well equipped kitchen. Breakfast has a good choice from cheese/meats, pastries& bread rolls, cereals, fruit,yoghurt & cooked option. Hot drinks are available in the lounge area 24/7. There is a social evening 6.30-7.30 Mon-Wed which is a great idea. If you want foot to cook there’s a well stocked convenience store a few minutes walk away as well as a Sainsbury’s Local. Metro if you want it is next to train station 10-15 minutes walk away. Great value. There is a small gym, for runners the quayside is less than 5 minutes away. Definitely recommend and would definitely stay again. Staff are really helpful and friendly.

Genuine welcome from the manager. Outstanding service. extremely comfortable beds and well appointed, spotlessly clean and quiet room Wonderful breakfast with a large variety of options and abundant supply of all items. Social evenings three nights each week with free drinks and generous offerings of snacks, cheeses, breads, olives and fresh vegetables. Some might say that the location was a negative aspect of this hotel as it is away from many restaurants and shops, but if a guest has a car then this is not a problem. For those without a car, the Metro is a five minute walk away. On the plus side, the hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood so a good night's sleep is almost assured, yet it is only a short walk down the hill to The Quayside. I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again.

Excellent stay. Lovely hotel and atmosphere. All staff friendly and helpful. Room emaculate. Lovely idea of free social Monday to Wednesday 6.30-7.30pm. so generous offering free beer, wine and some nibbles. Enjoyed our stay.

Really enjoyer our 2 night break with our dog. Nice little touches in the room, dog biscuits and a water bowl The parking is a bit expensive but it is secure. Lovely buffet breakfast

Very clean. Staff are very friendly. All rooms are equipped with kitchenettes with fridge, microwave, dishwasher and hob. All rooms have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and hand lotion. There is an iron and an ironing board there is also a hairdryer. The Only thing the hotel didn't have was a bar, they had a little mini bar they could serve you spirits. There is a little shop which you purchase food, sweets, wine and lager which you can pay at the time or add to your room.

Nice hotel handy for city centre. Travelling as a family it was a welcome surprise to find that as a suite it had a separate bedroom from the living room. The onsite parking was convenient and secured. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet had a decent amount of choice.

Always happy to stay at Staybridge Newcastle - a lot of room for the price, pleasant people. The breakfast isn't quite as good as it used to be but still quite OK with plenty of choice. Parking extortionate at £12 a night now - used to be just expensive at £8. We don't usually need it but did this time.

Stayed here while dropping off at uni. Room and breakfast were great, parking was included which I hadn't realised and is always a bonus. I personally loved the 24 hour unlimited coffees, including decent decaf and sparkling water. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I hope to come back.

Our 3rd visit to this hotel in the last few years. It's always super! Rooms perfect set up, beds very comfy and always very clean the breakfast is also excellent. Staff are wonderful super friendly and kind always very helpful.

Excellent Hotel, and would definitely book again, especially for the price. Booked 2 rooms and the only negative point would be that due to the rooms having a small kitchen area one of the rooms still had a very strong smell of curry lingering in the room from the previous occupant. This smell lingered throughout my stay.

A wow stay for the price! Would definitely be back when in need of a night or two to refresh. The rooms are above and beyond expectation and it’s so nice to stay somewhere you feel nothing is too much for the staff. My only critique would be a few of the UHT milks in the room were a day out of date however that is clearly just a minor oversight from the housekeeping staff who do a wonderful job as the rooms are pristine and kept impeccably. My only change would be the noise the doors to the rooms make as although I know they’re heavy fire doors I feel there must be something possible to soften the noise when they close.

The hotel was clean and welcoming. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and well equipped with everything you could want. The kitchen was just the right size. We didn't use the kitchen but if we had stayed longer I'm sure we would have made more use of it. The bathroom was large and the shower was awesome. (A weak shower can ruin a stay.) The bed felt quite soft but was oh so comfy. I have trouble sleeping away from home but I had no problems in Newcastle. The room was also quiet. When we get back to Newcastle we will definitely stay here again.

Jason welcomed us with a beaming smile. He then gave us an upgraded suite. Room was spacious and clean. While parking was a bit hard to find, it was very convient once located. Five stars for customer service and room quality!

The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They told us about local activity and pointed us in the right direction. Our room exceeded our expectations. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Its a 10/15min walk into town. They had plenty parking and the breakfast was tops too.

Our extended family spent more than a week taking up four rooms including one accessible room for our 97 years old mother. Our experience was one of the best and we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff at the front desk were particularly friendly and helpful. Yannis helped us arrange our rooms near each other and provided us with really good recommendations on where to eat and buy food. We cooked a few simple meals in the pantry of the room and spent good time without going out. It’s a very warm experience. Bravo to the whole team from front desk, kitchen, housekeeping ! Thank you so much for your excellent job!

The hotel is in a great location close to the Quayside. It is a 20 minute walk into the city. The rooms are very clean, as is the communal area. We have stayed here a number of times, the only thing letting it down this time was the poor quality breakfast. We did not bother after the first day and ate breakfast elsewhere.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms had everything we needed. We booked 3 rooms as had our adult children with us and all agreed that this is the best hotel we have stayed in whilst visiting Newcastle. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to town and quayside. Will definitely stay there again next time I am in the North East.

Clean well equipped room with a very comfortable bed. I’m coeliac so require a gluten free breakfast. I was provided with GF toast and Sausages which were cooked separately in the kitchen. The sausages were delicious!

When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming member of staff. She had a lovely conversation with us and was very helpful. The only thing my husband and I was disappointed in was that there was no bar to go to and there was no evening meals. I maybe should have looked into that part when booking.

Very friendly staff and very clean. But the problems lay with the parking and breakfasts. Our worry was because of the number of car park spaces compared to the number of guests staying we were put off taking the car out because we were unsure we would get back in. The hotel were aware that there might be an issue getting a seat for breakfast on New Years day so encouraged the guests to eat in their suites. The problem was there was issues with the ovens therefore there was not enough hot food to go around,
