I really wanted to support a local business, but this whole stay was bizarre and inhabitable, I would not recommend booking unless some serious refurbishment has happened and this should be taken off of hotels.com as a option. Upon arrival the pub was locked so we had to wait around for this to open. The pub needs some serious renovations and a lot of garbage was laid around the outside area, including a TV cardboard box stuffed with rubbish and litter all around the back entrance. We were then shown to our room and went through a corridor full of random stuff such as picture frames, dog leads, washing baskets, toys etc. When we were shown to our room, which the guy mentioned had an extra single bed in because a desk was there before but broke so they have put a bed there for now... the bed had random tv boxes and wires on it in a pile. In addition to this, the walls were dirty, the bathroom stunk with a macerator in it which didn't flush properly, thank god the window was open for the smell which was unbearable, even if the window was wedged open with a dog toy. This window also had a glass pane missing so even if we were to put the window up we would still have a breeze/if it rained we would have been wet as the bed was right in front of the smashed window. The bins in the bathroom weren't emptied prior to us using the room. The tea and coffee station also had a half dismantled lamp on there with a lightbulb half out a packet.

Was overpriced for a very basic room that was noisy up until the pub had shut (I realise the rooms are above a pub but I stayed in another pub BnB the night before that was a lot quieter). Breakfast is extra on top of a high end price for this type of accomodation. Staff were helpful. So it gets an OK score rather than anything higher.

Very clean room with plenty of tea making facilities and lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a comfortable bed. Helpful full length mirror in bedroom. Some of the communal areas look a bit tired, but staff welcoming and room was great for my needs (staying overnight in area ready for family get together). Great location for Hythe and walk along seafront short drive away.

Friendly staff, convenient location from Port Lympne, not far from town centre, sky tv. However, very weak WiFi, room very small and needs some TLC. Was handy for the night but glad I used my Tesco points and didn’t spend my money. I think from other reviews it has just been taken over, so will be given a makeover soon.
