Great location and has a large supermarket downstairs. Very short walk to Namba station with connections to everywhere. Room itself is getting a bit dated, showing some wear and tear, but still very comfortable. Only complaint is there's no safe. Breakfast is excellent with many different options.

Very nice and fancy hotel, with reception on the 22nd floor and even a full wedding chapel beside it, but in comparison the room was a bit disappointing, not very spacious, with just basic amenities and not much room to put your things in the washroom and the room, but other than that it was perfectly clean, nice comfy beds and great view of the city

great location, we had 4 beds room and it was fantastic 1 1/2 bathrooms. the only downside is no laundry services offered or cafeteria just a high end restaurant but plenty of options around the hotel. I will return again

Came early around 11am, wasnt able to check in early unless i paid ¥2000 per hour. The last hotel i stayed at let me check in early at that time. Anyways at least they held my bags until check in at 3pm. Entering hotel is akward, you have to take elevator to 22nd floor to reach the reception. Then take another elevator to the rooms. The place seems nice but outdated, its clean like any japanese hotel should be. The view was obstructed by pillars outside the window and a balcony like space (which you cannot enter). The location is central which is why i chose it. Theres this strange european/brittish motif throughout and a wedding chapel looking building inside, i think they should ditch that look and go for a contemporary modern osaka vibe, the breakfast was pricey at ¥4500 but it had nice views and a wide variety of food. Overall i probably would have paid a bit more for a nicer newer hotel elsewhere in osaka.

We first stayed here 10 years ago. Hotel has deteriorated since then. Our room was not cleaned well and often dusty, wwhich affected my asthmatic condition. I coughed endlessly whenevr I entered the room. The only advantage was that the hotel is connected to the huge underground walkway that took us to the main Namba train lines as well as to Dotonburi. But I think there are other hotels connected too. Just have to find them.

The hotel itself is old and the room was a bit smelly. The furniture was too old and the bed and pillow linings were a bit antiqued. During the morning time at around 10am, stepping out of the room was astonishing as everything was scary due to clean-up ladies throwing towels everywhere on the floor along the corridor. There were a number of trolleys and carts pulled over everywhere. Maybe it is the style of Japanese cleaning style. The check-in service was very smooth with the help of ladies who could speak English. But the men were a bit too ruthless. I asked about the delivery of luggage to the airport. He gave me the tags directly, asking me to leave the luggage in the lobby for pick up later. Luckily, one female staff took me to the information desk, explaining everything clearly to me, making phone calls and dealing with the issue. She was so patient to me even though I had created much inconvenience to her.

The train, subway and airport bus terminal are conveniently located nearby. The big supermarket is just downstairs. Reception staff were very helpful and professional. What needs to improve is the toilet which seems to have a stench when we first entered the bathroom and even after room makeup.

Great location. Our first room had a terrible odor so the staff immediately changed us to a different room. They were friendly, kind and accommodating. We had a few concerns about general cleanliness - there were several dark stains on the walls, but we attribute it to the fact it’s just an older hotel. As a 4 star hotel we were expecting a little more but still a good location stay for exploring Osaka.

A really conveniently located hotel, and quite beautiful too - even had its own church inside! Good sized room and bathroom, although we will say that - despite being on floor 29 - we could hear a lot of noise from the street, mostly traffic and sirens and things. And given it’s a big hotel, we could also hear louder guests from the rooms adjacent / floors above and below. So not as soundproof as would be ideal, but for most it will be fine.

I loved the view from the room, I got a room in the 31st floor, beautiful view of the city. The rooms are very small so makes it complicated if you have big suitcases. The location is amazing with everything very close. I would recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel, clean and has everything you need. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the room was quiet. The only complaint I have would be the shower water - it was not very warm and would sometimes switch from very hot to very cold if someone else was using water.

Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka completely exceeded my expectations. Not only is it located just a short walk from Dotonbori — the heart of Osaka’s vibrant nightlife and food scene — but it also offers true luxury at an incredibly affordable price. Room was dated but nice and clean. I left my fitness ring in room and when I tried to contact regarding it it took 3 days and 2 emails to get a response. And then they said they didn't have it. My own fault but sucks.

Overall our stay at Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka went smoothly. The location was excellent, walking distance to where we wanted to go and subway lines just below the hotel. The room was nice and cleaned every day. One very minor complaint was that my wife went to the reception to get more coffee and was told that the house keeping will bring it up but never showed. That incident didn’t change our review and gladly stay at Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka if we ever come back to Osaka again.

Great location as you are steps away from the heart of Namba, and you’ll have access to multiple stations via underground walkways protecting you from any weather elements. A tip is that the hotel ground entrance is located at the northeast corner of the building, as the map may not directly show that.

Great hotel with excellent views and transportation links. I booked this hotel and thought it was very expensive but when I arrived I could see why it cost what it did. This was the best hotel I stayed at during my 16 day trip. The hotel is grand, the rooms are large, there's free water and there's drinkable tap water from the bathroom. It's above Namba station so it's a great location and there are many food options within a short distance. I highly recommend this hotel.

I must say, the location of the hotel is just perfect! It's close to everything—Kintetsu Osaka-Namba station, JR Namba, Dotonbori, and OCAT (the station for the airport limousine). All these are within walking distance. Plus, there’s a large supermarket, “Life,” located in the basement, which was super convenient. The hotel made it easy to explore not only Osaka but also nearby cities like Kyoto and Nara. I even came directly from Nagoya. The city view from my room on the 29th floor was amazing! It was great to open the window for ventilation. The room itself was rather small, which is typical in Japan, but I managed to fit my 28-inch suitcase in the corner without issue. The bedding was comfortable, and the washroom was clean with the bath tub. However, the room was a bit on the dark side, and the layout felt somewhat old-fashioned. There were also limited outlets for charging, which was a minor issue. All in all, I would definitely consider this hotel for future trips to Osaka.

We spent 5 days at this hotel. It is close to JR Station and one can walk from Namba Station to the hotel if you know the direction. Food, transportation, and shopping are all within walking distance. Breakfast is excellent with many varieties. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is located right above JR Station and Metro station. But it is quite far from Nankai Station, so if you take a rapid train to Nankai Namba station you will have to walk quite a bit in a very tricky way. Not too good when you carry lots of luggages as some of the exit does not have lift or elevators. OCAT bus station is just next to the hotel. The hotel itself is nice. The furniture is a bit outdated; but clean. The room is quite small; we cannot open our luggages properly. But it is not a big problem. The room is also quite, properly insulated. There are plenty of dining places in Namba Walk (through the tunnel under the hotel) and a Lawson across the road from the hotel. 15 minutes walk to Dotonburi if you take the correct path (do the Namba Walk way and exit in B20). We had a nice stay here. Thank you.

Hotel is in a very convenient location. From Shin-Osaka Station we took the Midosuji Line straight to Namba Station. Then all we had to do was exit the station and the hotel was right above us! Underneath was also a huge grocery store, pharmacy, Starbucks, McDonalds and a ton of food stalls. Dotonbori is approximately 7-8 walk and Namba Parks is approximately 15-18 minute walk in the opposite direction. We didn’t have much interaction with the hotel staff but the check-in/check-out process was very quick, our room and facilities were also very clean. There’s also hotel security on property at the entrances and walking around so it feels quite secure. Overall, great location and decent size room. We will definitely return for our next trip!

This is a great location just a few blocks from Dotonbori. The nearby metro stop has an extensive underground city that is probably a mile long with a huge selection of restaurants and shopping. The hotel common areas were really nice, the room itself was not quite our style but was comfortable, clean, and had a great view. We went to the breakfast buffet they had one day - I'd skip that if I returned: it was over-priced for just average food and there are so many great nearby restaurants.

この度はお世話になりありがとうございました。お部屋は広くて窓からは大阪のパノラマの夜景が素敵でとても豪華な時間を過ごせました。お部屋にUCCのコーヒーメーカーがあって嬉しかったです。朝食バイキングは豪華で他ではみたこともないような仕掛けもしてあって息子とワクワクしながら色々取りました。とても素敵なことが多いホテルでしたのでまた大阪に行くことがあれば是非また泊まりたいと思っています。

Excellent location next to the OCAT building and Namba station. Direct access to the underground shopping malls. Staff Was very polite and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated. Breakfast buffet was excellent as well. wide selection of food and large quantities. It ran from 6:30 to 9:00 but got busy at times.

Best price/quality out of 5 hotels I stayed in during my trip to Japan. Super convinient location just above a subway station, staff speaks English and has a real breakfast buffet with a ton of options from desserts, juice and coffee bar, japanese dishes (even ramen and curry, tonkatsu, etc, other hotels I stayed at had a 3 dish "buffets"), fruit , waffles, etc.
