The hotel was nice, very friendly staff, good parking, good breakfast (gluten free options), the room was pleasant and functional - shame lighting in bedroom and around the hotel wasn't great - lots of lamps not working in reception/bar/restaurant/hallway area and due to poor reception/connection couldn't get most channels on TV !

The staff were all extremely friendly and that includes the member of staff in the gym. The food was very good from the Ripleys restaurant and breakfast was served fresh and hot. The gym was well equipped. My room was clean with an easy to use heater.

We stayed at the hotel as a stop-off on our way back from Cornwall. Good, free parking was available. Staff were friendly and breakfast was excellent. The room was fine. Not the most comfortable beds and we were unable to use the TV as there was no remote.

Lovely hotel, with potential to be so much better. Great garden out the rear to have a drink in and for kids to play. Room was big but very dated and cleanliness was poor. Curtains aren’t black out, need blinds on the windows. The food in the restaurant was lovely in the evening but the breakfast hit and miss, one morning we ordered breakfast, the next morning we had to help ourself to soggy food left standing for a long time. The disappointing part was the lack of hoovering, our room had hairs on the carpet and bits like it hadn’t been hoovered in a while. We ate in the restaurant the 1st night, our little girls dropped some crumbs on the floor and a little piece of pasta, it was still on the floor 2 days later. This hotel has such potential to be fabulous.

Very clean and comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and efficient. Only had breakfast but there was plenty of choice, well cooked and presented. Staff again were extremely helpful and efficient. Would definitely stay again and recommend

Overall not too bad, but why do the chambermaids have to chat in the corridor near guest rooms for ages starting at 8:30am on a Sunday morning after I was up late Saturday night and wanted a lie in? Seriously, they were doing it for what seemed like 90 of the 120 minutes between 08:30 and 11:00 (check out time). Eventually I had to stick my head out of the room to be sure it wasn't just ignorant other guests. The public lobby area, behind a fire door, where they could have chatted without disturbing anyone, was only a few steps away, but I suppose they would be seen not working by reception from there. I usually leave a tip for housekeeping staff, but didn't this time. Their loss. Grim.

Amazing hotel slightly dated but reflected in the price, one of the only hotels i stayed in for business that i would stay again with my own money. Only criticism apart from slight dated is the tv is a little small bit again reflected in the price.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and I enjoyed it greatly. The staff were very welcoming. the room was great as was the food, the evening meal was excellent. There was also plenty of good service at the bar. I must also commend the excellent service at breakfast.

Booked two double rooms. Night staff only gave me one, and I had to stand firm and show my booking online to get the 2nd room. 2nd room then ended up being a twin. We complained in the morning, and were told that we had to email the owner, and they would then decide what to do with the complaint (bonkers! Can you imagine going into any other retail situation and being told that?!) Day staff did confirm that, quite clearly, there were two double rooms on the booking.
