Excellent location in the centre of Skipton. Clean and friendly staff. Good choice of breakfast, cooked when ordered. Good pint of Timothy Taylors, if a little expensive. Parking around the back, but would have been nice to be informed of the parking arrangements. A token is required from the bar. Was given a small flask of fresh milk on arrival, but was off by the morning. Maybe better to let the guest pick up the milk before bed the night before, put a fridge in the room or have the option for milk sachets. Not criticism, but other opportunity for improvement; add a shelf in the shower. Additional opinions - put shower gel & shampoo in a dispenser in the shower. Soap dispenser near sink. Only use what is needed, left wasteful than sachets.

We were treated for a 1 night stay as a gift so we decided to add on 1 more night good decision the staff are so helpful friendly and cant do enough for you nothing is too much bother the food is homecooked well presented and delicious the woolly sheep is a quirky old building with lots of character a fabulous covered outdoor area which will be amazing in the better weather as the roof goes back to make it an open top area, the rooms are tastefully decorated in a lovely modern style and colours kingsize comfortable bed for a good nights sleep situated in the charming village of Skipton with lots of historical sites and places of interest highly recommended credit were credit is due we will be back.....

From the moment of arrival in the secure car parking area to the outdoor seating, through to the dining room and busy bar it was all great. All very clean and bright and welcoming. As were the staff, a great little find. Its a bit like the 'Tardis' inside. (Dr Who)

In the centre of town so in easy walking distance to shops and attractions. Parking behind the hotel is a little awkward but once you get in there is plenty of space. Breakfast was delicious and served quickly. Rooms have no view but quiet.

Lovely ensuite room and facilities. Friendly staff. Good breakfast with gluten free options. Has it's own carpark for residents. The downside was I would have liked to have booked in earlier as I was going to a funeral and didn't want to have to book in between the service and the wake. However, there was a charge of £10 for an earlier check-in.

Lovely staff very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you .A real credit to the pub. The meal wasn’t as good as we expected it to be .Defiantly no wow factor and a little undercooked . Plenty of choices for breakfast however the cooked breakfast wasn’t that nice and the yogurts were on their use by date .The room was extremely disappointing for a superior plus ! There was excrement inside the toilet , black hairs inside the bath, the extractor fan was full of dirt and dust .The shower heads were filthy and didn’t work properly as was the shower doors . Fully refurbed ?? I’m not sure it has been. Although it was clear it was a dog friendly place I think there should be limits in place as not everyone wants to sit and eat or drink with dogs .Overall we did have a nice time but I think that was down to the staff being so nice and how we made it ourselves .

Lovely stay and staff were fab! Only things were the hairdryer in the room was quite dirty and about to give up and our water/milk/tea didn’t get refreshed. Minor things that didn’t spoil our stay at all and would definitely return.

Great hotel right in the centre of Skipton. Lovely room, very quiet despite being at the front of the hotel. Well appointed and clean. All staff very good. We ate elsewhere but food looked good. Excellent breakfast. Parking to rear of hotel. Will definitely return.

Room was very small and a very small shower. However it was very quiet even with the window constantly open because of the heat outside. The bed was very comfy, and the flask of fresh milk for the coffee was a very nice change from the small cartons as you get in most places. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very good and with a wide choice. However I did notice that some of the yoghurts were actually 3 or 4 days past their use by date. I am sure that this was just an oversight as everything else was very good service and quality. There was a nice restaurant and bar with several real ales from the local brewery on every evening

Clean and nicely decorated room 3, a single room located on the first floor above the bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Great location in the centre of Skipton, very popular so it was quite noisy until closing time. Bring your ear plugs! The bed was a bit firm for me but otherwise the room had decent facilities including TV, free WiFi, kettle, desk etc. The bathroom was small and the shower entrance would be challenging for anyone over a size 16, so I could only wash my hair through the opening using the flexible hose/head. Dinner was good quality with a misfire on the dessert special - but this was refunded by the manager without me asking. I liked the voucher for a free half of any draught Taylors beer in the room, along with the flask of fresh milk on arrival. Breakfast was good and varied too. Overall good value for money but if you are a light sleeper make sure not to be above the bar.

Right in the centre of town, a lively spot although our room was quiet. Renovated many times over the years so stairs go up and then down before arriving at the room. The dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Our room was fairly compact but fine for a night.

Room was excellent for the money, staff were very friendly and facilities were great. The fan provided was not adequate enough for how hot it was, which is rare weather in Britain understandably, but it was the only issue with sleeping during our stay. We would definitely return again, probably in the Winter time!

The room was very small but very nicely set out. The bed was very comfortable and everything you needed in the room for a lovely overnight stay. The breakfast was delicious, we didn’t eat an evening meal but the bar area is really nice. Nice touch in your room were 2 vouchers for 2 half pints of Timothy Taylor’s beer.

Eventually I got up and spoke to a member to be told can I wait as they are inputting a dessert order for another table. My room was above the main pub, so noisy until 11pm. A one night birthday trip. Staff are welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Room comfortable if a little small. Room was very warm but solved by turning off the heat and opening the window. My only recommendation would be for the waiting staff to bring out the required knives for meals. Had soup and a roll with whipped butter but no knife to spread butter, also had steak again no steak knife. Both had to be requested. Small details like this are unimportant but would make things more amazing.

Myself and my partner stayed here on Friday 19th July and Saturday 20th. We had an amazing time. Staff are impeccable and go the extra mile I have not got one negative word to say. Do yourself a favour and book a stay, the breakfast choice is outstanding and dining experience fantastic. Thank you to all that served and helped us, we will definitely return and it will be soon.

Nice breakfast, could just do with another vegetarian/vegan option. Service was fantastic, everyone very friendly and the dinner was lovely. Need a note in bedroom saying where the towels are as we couldn't find them.. We would stay here again.

Hotel is a good location in the high street, secure parking at the rear. Our room faced the Main Street which was nicely decorated. It's a very busy pub/hotel sometimes difficult to find a seat. Breakfast on the first day was excellent we both had full English but second day my partner had only ordered scrambled eggs & mushrooms they looked like cheese and strange consistency so never ate them! Liked the idea of small flasks of milk for the room which you could ask at the bar to be refilled kept milk cool!

In the centre of town so in easy walking distance to shops and attractions. Parking behind the hotel is a little awkward but once you get in there is plenty of space. Breakfast was delicious and served quickly. Rooms have no view but quiet.

Nice breakfast, could just do with another vegetarian/vegan option. Service was fantastic, everyone very friendly and the dinner was lovely. Need a note in bedroom saying where the towels are as we couldn't find them.. We would stay here again.

Done the Carlisle to Settle train journey. Ideal location to stay. Room very modern all staffvery friendly. Had evening meal which was very good. Breakfast selection one if the best offered. Freshly cooked. Can recommend the salmon omelette.

Actually stayed for 2 nights! Big bonus was secure car parking at the rear of the building a token is required from the bar! Comfortable Room no 7 overlooking main st! It’s a vibrant hotel very busy quality food and nice outdoor seating. Children & Dogs welcome! My breakfast both days was delicious, my partner had an issue with his today he ordered scrambled eggs mushrooms & beans! The scrambled eggs were weird flat tasted of cheese runny he couldn’t eat them, so did mention this to the waitress who to be fair offered to replace them but my decided not too bother !
