Property is Ok, a 2 story old Victorian style cottage transformed into a small hotel with a few rooms. My room was rather small as expected, with a tiny shower in a corner and a decent toilet area. Fairly ruined, with a linoleum floor, leaky windows and drapery needing some love. I didn’t expect much for the price to be honest, this is a 2 star hotel, cheap for the area. In that sense, it met my expectations. Some guests complained about lack of hot water but in my case it was good and abundant, for European standards it was golden A few complains, not deal breakers but to keep in mind. Rooms are noisy, thin drywalls with rooms cramped into each other. Had to hit the walls a few times for people in other rooms to be aware. Second, there is nobody there! Reception is empty every time, with a phone a few instructions on how to deal with common issues. Phone will be answered though, and when I needed someone they did show up. Finally no breakfast on premises. There is small kitchenette area with a MW, a table and a few chairs but no ability to cook (or for someone to cook). You have to go to a nearby Notcutts with was excellent but about a mile and a half away, walking is not a real option unless you have a lot of free time Oh, parking is available and abundant, they claim to charge a daily fee but my friend in another room with a car never paid it. We appreciated the efforts at recycling, the outdoor eating area, the chance to do some washing. The room was too small especially for a four night stay. When we commented the ‘receptionist’ said that they had upgraded us from a shared bathroom which was not the case as we had booked an ensuite room. We received an email about paid parking but out booking included parking. Reception over a telephone is not satisfactory.

3 of us stayed in the 3 single bed family room on a room only basis the room was extremely clean with en suite shower room. The beds were very comfortable tea and coffee was supplied and when we needed more milk they bought us more. The room also had doors out to a little patio area overlooking a pool with fish and a lawn beyond.

The lodge was in a good position for what we needed. The host was friendly and very helpful. The garden was also spacious for children. Recommend anyone to stay.

The room was clean but very small for a double bed, the shower and toilet were built in to two corners of the room , which worked i suppose. It was a cheap place to stay in the area we needed to stay in. We booked in via an intercom telephone. This was unusual but worked ok. The lady who booked us in waived the on site car park charge, and also the dog extra charge. I would have challenged the dog charge being £23 ? for one night had she not just dropped it as she mentioned it over the intercom. If we had to pay for on site parking AND the dog it would have been an expensive stay . We payed £68 as we had some expedia points to use . If we had payed the standard price i think it would have been too much for the size of room . I dont mind paying up to £10 extra for the dog, but could not see why there should be a charge for parking a car in site . Oh, and our rooms window would only open an inch or two. There were instructons to open it further but they did not work. . It was a good job the weather was unusually cool for July! The only staff member we met was in the morning when we were leaving who was very pleasant.

The staff was very helpful, we ended up checking in much later than expected, but staff was very pleasant . All check innand check out instructions we explained well and easy to follow. The property was very clean ,plenty of linens .

On arrival, the hotel looked lovely from out side when I went it there was no one to greet me. Then called a phone number, someone arrived took me to my room. Room was not clean had dust everywhere even on the bed towels were dirty, cobwebs everywhere, cups were also dirty. There was also a horrible smell in the room that I could not pin point on where it was coming from. I was then woken up at 12 am to the receptionist and another guest having an argument over their room. For over an hour to them then sat out side arguing, then music blearing through out the night. Bathroom was also dirty and was uncomfortable to shower there. There was no hospitality at all not customer focused no service for breakfast either. I am very disappointed and unhappy with my stay and would not be recommending to any one.

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Honestly the bedroom was like Faulty Towers unbelievable. Everywhere neaded an update - make shift doors to bathroom a poles sticking out of the wall for a wardrobe, the cahir in room was for a child etc etc . All required painting, curtains 2 sheets hanging up all screwed up. The carpet in the room and on the stairs needed a good clean and hoover. Sorry i can honestly say worst we have syayed in. The night before we stopped in another hotel in thd same area znx the difference was unbelievable.

I was not happy at all. Toe nails left on side. Hair on coat hanger. See pictures. No receptionist. No hot water for bath. No soap. Not a double bed but x2 single mattress’s. Interrupted whilst naked on bed by a man who was also supposedly staying in my room and had the code for the door. I want a refund…….

Overpriced dump, check-in was a nitemare not whats needed after a long day ... Does not have a resturant as advertised absolutley filthy ....hairs in bed,ripped pillow case stains on duvet,dirty mirrors the list goes on.. Save your money go somewhere else please,will never use again....

The accomodation provided everything that I needed. The price reflects the budget provisions and dated furniture but I was quite satisfied and comfortable and would go back again. I might bring my own pillow as the pillows were flat and rather hard.

Was okay. Room quite small. Had double bed and shower cubicle in the bedroom. Separate very small toilet room. Hanger for clothes only. Very small space to move about in room. Has TV.

The room was clean but very small for a double bed, the shower and toilet were built in to two corners of the room , which worked i suppose. It was a cheap place to stay in the area we needed to stay in. We booked in via an intercom telephone. This was unusual but worked ok. The lady who booked us in waived the on site car park charge, and also the dog extra charge. I would have challenged the dog charge being £23 ? for one night had she not just dropped it as she mentioned it over the intercom. If we had to pay for on site parking AND the dog it would have been an expensive stay . We payed £68 as we had some expedia points to use . If we had payed the standard price i think it would have been too much for the size of room . I dont mind paying up to £10 extra for the dog, but could not see why there should be a charge for parking a car in site . Oh, and our rooms window would only open an inch or two. There were instructons to open it further but they did not work. . It was a good job the weather was unusually cool for July! The only staff member we met was in the morning when we were leaving who was very pleasant.

Property is Ok, a 2 story old Victorian style cottage transformed into a small hotel with a few rooms. My room was rather small as expected, with a tiny shower in a corner and a decent toilet area. Fairly ruined, with a linoleum floor, leaky windows and drapery needing some love. I didn’t expect much for the price to be honest, this is a 2 star hotel, cheap for the area. In that sense, it met my expectations. Some guests complained about lack of hot water but in my case it was good and abundant, for European standards it was golden A few complains, not deal breakers but to keep in mind. Rooms are noisy, thin drywalls with rooms cramped into each other. Had to hit the walls a few times for people in other rooms to be aware. Second, there is nobody there! Reception is empty every time, with a phone a few instructions on how to deal with common issues. Phone will be answered though, and when I needed someone they did show up. Finally no breakfast on premises. There is small kitchenette area with a MW, a table and a few chairs but no ability to cook (or for someone to cook). You have to go to a nearby Notcutts with was excellent but about a mile and a half away, walking is not a real option unless you have a lot of free time Oh, parking is available and abundant, they claim to charge a daily fee but my friend in another room with a car never paid it. There are no EV chargers on premises but there are two level 2 ones close by at the Camden Arms hotel parking lot, 50 yards away

The staff was very helpful, we ended up checking in much later than expected, but staff was very pleasant . All check innand check out instructions we explained well and easy to follow. The property was very clean ,plenty of linens .

We appreciated the efforts at recycling, the outdoor eating area, the chance to do some washing. The room was too small especially for a four night stay. When we commented the ‘receptionist’ said that they had upgraded us from a shared bathroom which was not the case as we had booked an ensuite room. We received an email about paid parking but out booking included parking. Reception over a telephone is not satisfactory.

On arrival, the hotel looked lovely from out side when I went it there was no one to greet me. Then called a phone number, someone arrived took me to my room. Room was not clean had dust everywhere even on the bed towels were dirty, cobwebs everywhere, cups were also dirty. There was also a horrible smell in the room that I could not pin point on where it was coming from. I was then woken up at 12 am to the receptionist and another guest having an argument over their room. For over an hour to them then sat out side arguing, then music blearing through out the night. I am very disappointed and unhappy with my stay and would not be recommending to any one.

We stayed at Anand Lodge for one night while attending a family funeral the next day. We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest in the local area. It was pretty basic. Our room was on the second floor and as we both have mobility issues, it was difficult to climb and descend so many stairs. The bathroom was adequate, but there is a serious problem with the temperature control of the shower head. It ran extremely hot and could potentially be dangerous. The booking process did not make it clear about arrangements for breakfast. We ended up not having any provided by the Anand. I went to somewhere local before checking out. When someone eventually came, they said that the door was unlocked all the time anyway and we just needed to come in to reception. The hotel was very unclean and out dated thankfully I was only booked for one night but if it wasn’t so late i would have considered going elsewhere. There was no staff in person to talk to it was all through cameras and speakers. No fault of the hotels but I was constantly woken by slamming doors ,loud voices and creaking of the stairs. Not a very pleasant experience.

The reception is not working in the evening. I tried to call them, they do not speak proper English and quite often just switch off the phone call. Overall really depends on your access time, it can be really a problem if that's late
