The hotel was really nice with lovely gardens. Our room was in a separate block and the decorations etc looked new. The bathroom was spacious and clean. there were outside tables and chairs where we could sit. However the bed was awful, lumpy, bumpy and the springs were making noises. We could not sleep and were aching all over the next day. We arrived Sunday afternoon and the kitchen closed at 5pm, so we could not get anything to eat in the evening. We we supposed to stay on the Monday night, but we went home at 5.00pm because we did not want to spen another night on the beds.

Lovely beer garden. Staff were super friendly. Nice and clean . Room was great. Spacious , with a double and single bed. 8 mins drive from hooton park, which was ideal as we weee there for a karting competition My only complaint was the bar and resturant was really quiet in the evenings and lacked any atmosphere. Which was a shame

Booked the woodcote for a little get away with the Mrs. Staff were very accommodating (they closed the bar early due to no one being in but still got us a drink when we asked) Room was spacious and the shower was amazing Thank you, will definitely stay again if we're in the area

Property was conveniently situated. Parking was easy. Room was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was well priced and delicious, with reasonable choice available. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Didnt give five stars for facilities as bar closes early when quiet so wasn't available for a 10pm nightcap! Would stay again!

A lovely venue for a family celebration. Staff were always courteous & helpful. A very relaxing Wirral countryside location, with a really nice outdoor space & a beautiful garden setting.

Stayed one night on business. Check in was efficient, the room was clean and there was a desk so I could get some work done. Downsides are that if you are downstairs and the person above paces the floor in the night, the creaky floors keep you awake. Also the duvet was way too thick and hot. If on a motorbike, there is nowhere to chain it up, but they do have cameras in the car park. The bed was comfortable which is the main thing for me and it is close to the motorway so access is easy.

Staff at the Woodcote are very friendly and welcoming, and I was given a top floor room in accordance with a special request. My room had a slight attic feel, was a good size and comfortable. The bathroom was massive..it had an electric shower in a cubicle and the floor was wood block. There was a lot of spare space and inadequate lighting.The hotel is in a rather remote location and finding a retail outlet / restaurant nearby is challenging. My two night stay included a Saturday, on that evening there was a function happening with thudding disco music. I was told by reception that it was only happening until 11, but I learnt the following morning that if guests pay for a late bar this can go on way past midnight. Not very good if you want to be sleeping at this time!

The room was lovely, very spacious and had nearly everything apart from decaf tea or coffee, and the TV was a smart TV with streaming services but no internet to connect it. The room was opposite a beer garden which was fine until they put loud music on in the evening. However, to be fair the music stopped by 11.30pm each night and it was silent until the morning. No aircon and it was a hot few days, but with the window open it helped. The food was lovely especially their banana bread,that was outstanding! I didn't have breakfast but it was available. It was definitely worth the money.

A couple of thoughts re our stay whichI think will improve general satisfaction Room 9 - very limited draw space - needs a 3 drawer unit or similar Needs a “anti slip “ mat in shower - very slippery - possible accident , Floor tiles not grouted properly which will give ongoing problems as water ingress which will swell floorboards and lift tiles. Lastly a big thank you to your staff for handing in my wife’s ring which she hadn’t realised the loss at that stage . Thanks again and hope to see you in the future Pauline & Roger Minter

The room was bright and airy. We put the radiator on to warm the room up which warmed it up really quickly. The shower was really fast and bathroom was lovely and clean. The bed was so comfortable, overall the room was perfect.

All the staff are very friendly and quick to please. Room and bathroom were very clean, Bed was comfortable. Room tended to be a little hot for our liking with no visible way to turn it down. A stand or runner at bottom of bed would be nice to put your suitcase on while unpacking. The bed has a white comforter on it. Would stay here again.

Reception staff friendly on arrival. Explained everything we needed to know straight away. Room very clean, warm on arrival. Came back late evening and required food. We ordered at the bar and they personally called me to say food was ready and would deliver to me. I collected and they helped without asking. All staff very helpful and friendly.

Made very welcome by receptionist. The only criticism was the mattress was too soft. If you opened the window traffic was very noisy but other wise good.

Arrived after check in time of 3pm. No one at reception. Pinged the bell twice but no response. After a while we went to the bar to see if anyone around. Check in was smooth. Lady very nice Room was clean and bright. Great blackout curtains.tea and coffee making facilities etc. Did not like the tip envelope for cleaning staff tho. Bed was ok. Room far too hot so opened windows. Turned radiators down. Did not sleep well due to heat and noise from road. Food in dining room was really nice . Hotel parking spaces nice and wide. Overall an ok stay.

Wonderful 1 night stay after the football in Liverpool. The Staff were out of this world and so was the food and restaurant ambience. Special thankyou to the young lady that waited on us for our meal. She was a credit to the hotel. If i can offer one piece of feedback it is the ceiling above room 10. It is very thin and myself and my daughter had to listen to every movement from the occupants upstairs, and unfortunately i mean ever movement which was a bit traumatic for a 15 year old. But honestly, i really enjoyed the hotel and again the food was outstanding. Thank you.

Really nice place, however at 0700 we were woken up by what I could only describe as a herd of elephants in the room above us. Not sure if it was other guests or staff, but the ceilings must be made of paper.

Only stayed one night but overall a pleasant stay. Room was large with plenty of room. Bed extremely soft but had a relatively good nights sleep. Tea and coffee was plentiful. I woukd suggest some hooks in the shower room to hang clothing/ towels. There is no lift at the property. Food in the squadron bar was good. We had late lunch and breakfast. Drinks with breakfast were not included in the price which makes it a little expensive but overall it was good. My only critisism was that we opted to pay at the hotel as wanted to pay cash but the money was taken from my card on the morning of the day of arrival as opposed to the end of our stay. A lovely place to stay and staff were helpful and friendly

Sammie on reception was excellent . The room I was allocated was on the first floor . I explained that I had recently had a knee replacement and she moved some reservations around so that I was in a ground floor cottage . Thank you .

Welcoming staff . I arrived late and ordered food from the wrong menu ( lunch time one ) . The waitress pointed this out but said she would ask the chef for my meal . This was not a problem and the food was good . Thank you . I had room 15 which was large and had a great shower . In my opinion the room was to cheap and for what I got I would have paid more . I will definitely be staying here again on my travels . Thank you again and I will be seeing you in the future .

The hotel is very convenient both to arrive by car (close to the M53) or by train. I arrived from London by train and it's only a 10 minute walk from Hooton station. I received a warm welcome and was shown to my room, which was in an annexe to the main building, overlooking the garden. The service was friendly, professional and efficient, the room was very comfortable with a modern bathroom.

Lovely hotel, ideal for Chester & Cheshire Oaks, we booked a family room (#4) very roomy, both beds were soooo comfortable, bathroom clean & modern, staff friendly and helpful. Can’t comment on dinner as didn’t eat at the restaurant but the breakfast was superb 5* in our opinion.

Staff at the Woodcote are very friendly and welcoming, and I was given a top floor room in accordance with a special request. My room had a slight attic feel, was a good size and comfortable. The bathroom was massive..it had an electric shower in a cubicle and the floor was wood block. There was a lot of spare space and inadequate lighting.The hotel is in a rather remote location and finding a retail outlet / restaurant nearby is challenging. My two night stay included a Saturday, on that evening there was a function happening with thudding disco music. I was told by reception that it was only happening until 11, but I learnt the following morning that if guests pay for a late bar this can go on way past midnight. Not very good if you want to be sleeping at this time!

The hotel was really nice with lovely gardens. Our room was in a separate block and the decorations etc looked new. The bathroom was spacious and clean. there were outside tables and chairs where we could sit. However the bed was awful, lumpy, bumpy and the springs were making noises. We could not sleep and were aching all over the next day. We arrived Sunday afternoon and the kitchen closed at 5pm, so we could not get anything to eat in the evening. We we supposed to stay on the Monday night, but we went home at 5.00pm because we did not want to spen another night on the beds.

Excellent place although a little disappointed to see they have introduced a standard 10% service charge on you food and drinks bill, I can see this putting people off eating and drinking here which is a shame because it's fantastic place.

Myself and my Mum stayed overnight whilst visiting the area. We were absolutely over the moon with our visit, we were given one of the gorgeous rooms in the cottage on site (room number 8) which was huge and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Both myself and my Mum suffer with arthritis and for us to get a good nights sleep you know the bed must be good! We ate in the restaurant for both lunch and dinner, the food was beautiful and the range of gluten free meals was again excellent which made a real treat for my Mum as she struggles to find food she can eat. The room had everything we needed and more, including a beautiful sofa and a huge tv so we could really enjoy our evening before bed relaxing. We drove just a short 10 minute drive to Cheshire Oaks for some shopping too. The staff were so welcoming, kind and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting to them. There is a real family feel to the staff and it was clear everyone loves working there (which is rare). We will 100% be visiting again soon, we had a fantastic weekend at the Woodcote.

Lovely beer garden. Staff were super friendly. Nice and clean . Room was great. Spacious , with a double and single bed. 8 mins drive from hooton park, which was ideal as we weee there for a karting competition My only complaint was the bar and resturant was really quiet in the evenings and lacked any atmosphere. Staff very friendly and food in restaurant excellent. Went to celebrate a family member’s birthday, celebratory dinner held in hotel. Unfortunately service left much to be desired and was supposed to have chicken supreme what arrived was 1/4chiken with gravy and some of vegetables not cooked.

Property was conveniently situated. Parking was easy. Room was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was well priced and delicious, with reasonable choice available. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Didnt give five stars for facilities as bar closes early when quiet so wasn't available for a 10pm nightcap! Would stay again!
