Our room is roomy and well furnished. It is clean, too. The bed seems very comfortable. The staff is friendly. The hotel has everything a traveler in for one night might want, obviating the need to drive elsewhere: restaurant, pub, pool, waterpark, and casino.

My sons love the pool, why we stay here everytime! Happy kids equals happy mama!

So there’s no towels at the pool. I asked at 7 pm for towels. And my son asked at 8 for towels and my daughter asked at 8:30 for towels. We were each told there’s no towels for the pool area. That they are out of towels for the rest of the day. That’s very poor treatment of people who are paying to stay at a hotel/inn.

Swimming pool was relaxing

This is the second time at this hotel and both times the hot tub was broken and not working. Stairs to the water slide were very slippery and even walking slow it’s very slimy and slippery. Called early morning to ask for early check in, then when we got here we were notified elevator wasn’t working and hadn’t been working for days. That would have been nice to know when I had called earlier in the day. Room was not as shown in pictures of what I booked. Room was supposed to have a separate bedroom, and dining room area with chairs. There wasn’t enough seating in the living room so we couldn’t sit together as a family. And the bedroom was only separated by a wall. Fireplace in bedroom didn’t work, and fireplace in the living room didn’t give off any heat. The room has windows, but only high up so you can’t actually see outside. Called housekeeping twice with no answer, so called the front desk for 2 more pillows and 2 more blankets. After 30 minutes no one showed up so we left for the pool. We came back and housekeeping had let themselves into our room, which we didn’t appreciate but only brought 1 pillow and 2 blankets. Attempted to call front desk again with no answer so I gave up. We really enjoyed our first stay here that the kids wanted to come back despite the flaws we noticed but this visit has been very disappointing.

Booked it for the pool, pool was closed for “renovations.” Our room faced the pool, no one was working on it all weekend. Asked for a hotel transfer to a sister chain; told they couldn’t.

Water park was great for kids!

Run down hotel. Maybe they have better rooms, but we didn’t get one. The tub drain is rusty, the bathroom door cracked and swollen from moisture. Hot tub not operational. We won’t be back.

Staff were pleasant enough. Facility is looking and feeling old or dated. Pool water is so chlorinatedthe vapors burn the eyes badly. So the price was proportionate.

Hotel had a bad smell down the hallway and in the rooms. Wasn’t clean bathtub stained and floor dirty and garbage in the hallways on the floor. Staff not over ally motivated took a long time to check in. Went for breakfast buffet to find out nothing until 10

Clean room courteous staff, lots of parking

Room was large and clean . It was amazing to stay in this room. Had everything we needed and more.

The carpet had sticky spots. There was mold in the shower corners.

My room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful

The room had an unpleasant odor, and the front desk staff handled the concern unprofessionally by dismissing it and claiming there was no issue, stating that the room simply smelled like a typical hotel. Additionally, the bathroom curtain appeared to be improperly installed, which likely caused water to pool on the floor. This may have contributed to the damp carpet and the resulting odor.

I got bit by bedbugs

Room was clean and spacious, with extra touches, like a fireplace. Great stay!

Room really smelled. Broken shower rod so curtain wouldn’t stay closed getting water everywhere. Bathroom door had to be slammed just to get it to close.

Rooms facing the pool are humid and damp.

T.V didnt work in our room , but manager gave us a discount .

Room was clean, beds were absolutely awful. Both beds were completely broken and noisy.

Canad Inn Garden City is well located to shopping and dining. Room is very spacious. Despite only upper windows on inside rooms, the fake fireplace and wall storage is a nice change. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is also large. The pool area is great for kids with a long slide and spray features. There were problems with the cable TV, the elevator and loose bathtub/shower controls.

Room was beyond expectation. Fireplace was a great touch, bathroom was lovely, tub was ENORMOUS. Considering this was a standard room, beyond thrilled with it.

Friendly and efficient check-in. Secure. Quiet. Lovely room although lacking a window you can look out of, it being narrow and up by the ceiling.

Easy check in, lots of parking, excellent security measures, VERY quiet, awesome room. 4 nights, expectations exceeded.

Staff was very helpful, didn’t know when check in was but they safely stored our bags til it was check in time, cause we wanted to shop.

Staff was very rude, I can’t recommend at all. I ended up checking out early because it was that bad.

Upon arrival the girl at front desk who checked us in was very sweet and helpful. Once we arrived to our room it smelled so bad of urine our eyes were watering, my husband went to front desk and shortly after someone from housekeeping came and sprayed the carpet a bit with a sanitizer spray. We ordered from the restaurant and the food was okay, we tried to get room service but they rudely asked us to come pick it up. We brought our kids to the pool and the chlorine was so strong we couldn’t stay for very long which was disappointing as it was the whole reason we booked there. The next morning our toilet wouldn’t flush and started backing up, the whole time we stayed there it was not flushing well so we tried to just not use it. After telling the front desk someone came and just left a plunger at our door which really didn’t help anything as that wasn’t the issue. The toilet then was overflowing while my husband tried to fix it with the plunger anyways. We were told someone would come drop off towels and that someone else would come fix the toilet, they never came. We checked out hours early, the two men at front desk didn’t ask any questions just signed us out.

I had a bus to catch after check out but it wasn’t for a couple hours so they let me stay one extra hour which was awesome! I’ll definitely be back.

Great location, super close to other entertainment options and sights, I didn't like that the fridge didn't have a freezer, but everything else was fantastic!

Was very convenient as I was visiting my mother who lives in the area. Close to Garden City Shopping Centre too!

Parking was a little shady. No cameras in sight. Didn't feel safe. Very clean inside!!! Customer service was terrible. No smiles, no eye contact, very short with us like we were disturbing them. Restaurants inside terrible.

I actually really liked this hotel. It wasn't fancy, it was clean and a bit dated. The Tavern in the hotel is amazing and had the best french fries I've ever had, plus it felt like a throw back in time - loved the vibe. I felt safe inside the hotel, the lounge/casino in the hotel was a bit questionable and there was some shady people outside at times. Woudn't leave anything in my vehicle there or go walking at night/evening. Daytime it was fine. Neighbourhood across the street was clean and well-maintained, not sure about behind the hotel. I would 100% stay here again with our hockey team - pool was fun for them and was very close to the rink and service was great!

I stay at this location for proximity to the St. Andrews airport.

The hotel was in a great location to stay at for a wedding we attended in Stonewall. It was easy to get to, lots of parking and amenities nearby.

I had a ham and cheese sandwich at Altos which they charged me $15.99 , and soup for $4.99 which was less than a cup. It was not worth it and I won’t be eating at Altos again

Close to where I needed to be. Great front desk service easy check in check out. Room was clean showers are really good. Tv could be improved. Restaraunt was very good for breakfast and lunch, wasn’t there for supper.

Location is ideal for amenities, including restaurants, groceries, shopping, and a hospital. Safe area with people around in a residential neighbourhood adjacent. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Splasher's indoor pool was the best hotel pool we have ever used, including hotels in Toronto and Niagara Falls. Food at Aalto's was great and reasonably priced. On site beer vendor sells more than beer... we were amazed with the options. Will be staying here again.

Paid more for the room than what we could have had else where. We have had much nicer rooms for $50/N less. Buffet was atrociously expensive for the Saturday night prime rib buffet $35 per person was the senior rate plus they added on gratuities for work that was never done because it was a buffet and our bill turned out to be $88 for two people. The only serving done was someone plunked a couple jugs of water on the table. The prime rib itself was half fat, aren’t the buffet servers, conscientious these days enough to cut the fat off before giving it to the people? That’s a heart attack waiting to happen. Also, there were three dents in our room. On the back of the bathroom door, there were big red handprints, at first I thought it was blood scared the heck out of me. Maybe it actually was but I wasn’t gonna look too closely.

We had a great stay, food and service was excellent.

I'm not crazy about the Alto restaurant. But, I like the pleasant staff and the rest of the facility

Restaurant wasn’t open much for repairs but overall stay is always good. Evening front desk staff was fantastic.

Maybe it's because of the time of the year but everything was dirty and property located right on the corner of a 4 way intersection. A distinct odor in the room when you walk in and no complimentary breakfast which they only had 2 server at breakfast.
