Stayed at Lakeside Park Hotel and Spa and overall had an okay experience. The hotel is in a lovely, quiet location with beautiful surroundings, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was okay, but the lake-view room only had a partial view, and there was a slight unpleasant smell. The single bed was also not very comfortable. The spa was good, but the kids’ pool session was very early and only available for 1–2 hours until 8am. Breakfast choices were limited. The main issue was the lack of maintenance and cleanliness, and the lift was not working during our stay, which made getting around quite difficult. Overall, a nice property with potential, but some improvements are needed.

A relaxing feel runs through the hotel and out into the gardens. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. Herons love it too! The staff were smiley and attentive, Our room was clean and the towels soft and fluffy. We made use of the spa facilities every day. The pool temperature was great for us.
