The hot tub was out of commission, had dried blood on our pillows , and the AC unit sounded like gravel … the guy was working solo and no one else was there and he brought another pillow but didn’t take the old ones and didn’t seem bothered . I did ask for a discount because it was one things after another and one hand didn’t really know what the other was doing ..

Amazing property! Breakfast is great a ton of options and super yummy. The staff was amazing to. The hot tub was down which I looked forward and they did notify us that it would be down for quite a while :( other than that everything was Amazing

The hotel was not prepared for multiple baseball teams staying through the weekend. They were behind the curve. We are the same exact breakfast for 3 days. I have never stayed at a location like this, which did that. The only elevator was too slow to take. Gym was not what it was perceived to be.

Great stay. Clean and comfortable. Bed was a bit hard for our taste. Hot tub was out of order which was a big bummer.

Pool was closed, but wasn’t advertised anywhere except on a small sign upon check in. Hide a bed was broken and we had to switch rooms. Heater/air conditioner worked sporadically.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean. The hotel stay was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub!! The breakfast was ok maybe a B but grateful it was there. We are used to raised toilets and the one in our room was really low to us but we managed. Having the Aquarium so close and the beach was amazing. We would use this hotel again.

Bed was comfortable but sheets were stained. Bathtub had a ring of pink mold around the entire tub. Bathroom floor was dirty. Wash cloth had been used and was still full of soap.

After I got in I went for a nap, only to find that the sheets were dirty. There were loose hairs in the bedsheets and what looked like makeup on the pillow cases. To their credit, they did fix the situation, but that shouldn't have been an issue to begin with.

The desk receptionist who checked us in was very kind, and accommodating, he helped us by getting milk when we realized we didn’t have any for our sons bedtime bottle! The room was not cleaned well, mold in the shower caulking, dirty shower, stains on the desk chair. Good price, but not likely to stay again.

I had an issue with my booking agency and the hotel front desk worked with me to make my trip work out great. The stay was great. Staff were awsome. Hotel was very clean and updated.

Got impressed. Room smelled musty. Showed me the last room they had and it stunk like the other did. Should have left. Got real sick and had to call Dr.

The hotel was nice, staff was great. They have a decent but unremarkable breakfast. The WiFi was hard to connect, kept kicking us off, and was so slow we just switched over to our data instead.

Loved the updated interior, nice free breakfast and helpful staff. Only negative was the hide-a-bed. It was very flat and my daughter could feel springs in her in back.

Walking distance to the aquarium and restaurants . Although no view of the water and toom pool.

This Holiday Inn Express has recently been renovated and it shows! The check in (by the new general manager on her first day) was marvelous. She was so warm and welcoming! Our room was large with two queen beds and in the top floor. Everything was brand new in the room- beds, bath fixtures, chairs and table, refrigerator and the cooling system worked perfectly. The breakfast was wonderful with a fantastic attendant who was so helpful! I will stay here again when I return to Newport!

Only complaints were that the hvac fan was loud in our room and the shower liner was too short so water got on the bathroom floor. The pool was nice and clean and the breakfast was amazing! Also liked that they have coffee/tea available 24/7. Nice lobby with business internet access. Also, no small toiletries: they had built ins for the shower and the sink, including lotion. No little plastic bottle waste!

Front desk was great! Mis-hap with computer system charged me twice but was rectified quickly. Good location for my trip to the Aquarium and fresh seafood from Crab!, and the welcomed discovery of Pirates Plunder!!!

Our stay was ok. The people above was very noisy but it was fine noise didn't last too long. But upon check-out, i asked for a receipt which the representative said would be emailed to me. I still have not received the email. Also, there is no cookies as mentioned in the lobby. Breakfast was good though.

We booked a king suite and on arrival were in a standard king, which meant there was no where for our lil guy to sleep, the night clerk was as helpful as he could be for a booked hotel. He got us a roll away bed and was super nice. We had an issue with kids in the pool, they were yelling, diving cannon balling and soaking our things when doing so, he came in and dealt with it and was going to get us quarters to use the dryer for free. He was super apologetic. The next night at the pool he came in to make sure everything was good, which it was. After the pool we needed more towels for our room and he grabbed them happily and was always making sure that we were happy with our stay.

Male. 35. Traveling with wife and 2 year old twin sons with developmental disability. This trip was special for my family because we just lost my mother in law after a long in home hospice stint. We were very much looking forward to family downtime after a difficult season and traveled 6 hours. Our trip was for 3 nights in a king suite. This hotel was a horrible choice, unfortunately. One staff member was at the desk on arrival and he was clearly overwhelmed. Multiple people were waiting to have keys reprogrammed and to check in. We right noticed our AC didn’t work after we had setup our cribs and got the kids situated. We figured we are at the coast and wanted the window open anyway so thought it would be fine. Multiple guests had the problem throughout the weekend. My card stopped working multiple times each day we were there. Each time we were returning from an outing with our arms full with children and bags. Each time we had to walk around the entire building and then sit and wait for the one overwhelmed front desk person to finish whatever they were doing to reprogram our key. Very frustrating situation but we made the best of it. On Sunday, one of our boys got sick and had it coming out of both ends. Rough day. Around 8 PM, got kids asleep and I stepped out to pick up our DoorDash order. My key card stops working again. So I walk around and stand and wait and end up getting verbally assaulted by the overwhelmed staff member.

The person who checked us in was amazing! As i get older, i look for, and appreciate, good customer service. The service we received her was many steps above 'good'. Because of this one experience, i will seek out Holiday Inn hotels when possible.

We showed up earlier than expected and the gentleman at the counter got us checked into our in10 minutes. I recommend, and its clise to the aquarium.

Great location to everything we wanted to do.

Close to the Bay Front.

Located close to the marina, aquarium, and surrounding stores. One restaurant located across the street but more choices are located over the Yaquina bridge. Super friendly front desk staff checked us in. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Plan to stay there again on future trips to Newport.

Nice hotel, convenient to everything. We went to the Aquarium, which was only a couple of minutes away. The staff was very friendly and the room was nice. Would stay again.

It was good. Not the best location but the hotel was very clean, modern, and comfortable. I used the gym and enjoyed the morning continental breakfast.

A quiet place to stay near the aquarium. It’s within walking distance to that & a few other places. You can also head into Newport waterfront area which is only about 5 min away. The staff are very nice and the hotel is clean. The beds are super comfortable! Basic continental breakfast is available .

It was a comfortable stay - amenities available on request or at reasonable rates.Breakfast options - no salty options for vegans , had to do with sweet options like bread + jam, cinnamon muffins and cereal breakfast.

I love the location. But website says the pool is heated, my niece and I both say the pool isn't heated. Breakfast was terrible, they didn't have eggs they didn't have coffee cups they didn't have just about anything I wanted and I went back three times. The only good day was the last day when I was leaving on Tuesday July 8th. That was the only good day for breakfast out of four.

I liked everything, especially when you travel with children and breakfast is included in the price and also varied, this is a big plus in your hotel business!

Great greeting and check in. Clean and comfortable room. Just the right amount and type of furnishings for the room. A simple and varied breakfast good enough to strt the day as a vegetarian or not. Would stay there again. Kudos on the High Protein yogurt option instead of the yogurt sugar bombs most hotels have at breakfast.

I'm a pretty big HIE fan, and have been for a long time. This one flat out seems poorly managed these days, and it wasn't always the case. Undressing, getting into the shower, only to discover that nobody had bothered to fill the soap and shampoo dispensers is frustrating. Even more frustrating is that even after they re-stocked them at my request, the liquid soap for the sink was also out after only a couple of handwashes. Breakfast there was also disappointing, with them being out of pancake batter, and they had really low quality meat (other HIE's often have better). It's clear to me that there is a lack of caring and a lack of effort here, and that's sad. This is used to be a better place.
