Courtyard by Marriott New Braunfels River Village

We had a fantastic stay! The property has a pool, hot tub, river access, outside games, fire pit, and lots of open areas for kids to play. The staff were so nice and knowledgeable. From check in to Starbucks to housekeepers- they went out of their way to help and were so kind! I look forward to visiting again.

Great property and super helpful and positive staff. only issue was one of the elevators was out of service when we checked in late and other was not responding to 1st floor button.

The staff was nice and helpful. Lack of parking was a huge concern. Had to get permission to park in Tesla and rewardspaces. No other spaces. Member Level award spaces a joke! Loud elevator bell was annoying and could be heard in our room around the corner all night and morning.

Room was fine. Entire hotel is under construction. Wasn’t notified on the hotel app at all

Landscaping outdoors by pool needed attention as it was all dead and weedy…. The hot tub had algae in it but when I asked I was told it’s legal bc the chlorine level was good( algae is not something that should be ok in pool or hot tub. Rest of the stay was AMAZING…

Our room was on the second floor and apparently below or next to construction. I understand they’re doing it to make the property better for us, but the hours of the hammering was random both mornings we were there. But we love the location of property right on the river.

Loved being on the water. Beautiful area and would definitely stay there again. Had a small issue with the elevator trapping us for a few minutes. Heard from housekeeping that is common and they don't ever use the one on that side.

The pool and hot tub area, long green space to get to the river access and a nice lit picnic table area were lovely and unique for Courtyard!

Did not do what what they stated they would do - I planned trip 6 months in advance— arrived back from dinner and there was event there for off site guests- no parking for guests— handicap with medical condition and told sorry- wait till 10pm they will be gone— needless to say we cut our trip short and left at dawn . Sad because I love the property - but we will not stay there again- we will stay in Gruene .

The pool was unavailable for use. Instead of having a professional treat the pool staff was trying to do the job and was unable to use pool or hot tub entire stay.

The hotel was very nice, rooms were clean and very comfortable, will definitely stay here the next time I'm in town.

First time at property . My kids absolutely loved it!! Room was nice. Brenda at front desk gave us a room with balcony facing river and pool, that was a nice surprise. She was amazing overall . Kids and I loved everything about it and want to make it a yearly trip. The only thing I would say is maybe have someone scan outdoor areas, someone threw up at night by pool gate and it was still there come morning as well as pool towels from night before thrown around pool area. Housekeeping did clean it up next day noon. Other than that it was great. Pool was nice and cool. Hot tub was nice and hot. River area was clean .

It was a beautiful setting on the river. Pool was great. Disappointed the dining didn’t have fruit. Then for my mixed drink no orange juice. How do they not have either of these for breakfast when the menu? The only other little problem we had was there were roaches in our room. I did tell front drsk as they need to spray. But they are near the water. Overall a very nice hotel.

This was a nice property. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

For the 3 nights we stayed here they had more fun to add to our stay and it was very enjoyable. The staff was superb and very clean

Housecleaning was very disappointing. 2x during 6 night stay was fine, frequency wasn't the problem. The bed wasn't "made" or even tucked in, just covers pulled up. Not sure if a sheet change was supposed to happen but it didn't. 1st clean the counters weren't clean. The one by the ice bucket had a spill that wasn't wiped. Room not vacuumed, at least not thoroughly if at all. Our plastic drink cups weren't replaced either of the 2 cleanings. Whatever product used to clean the tub was extremely slippery, I did slip and bang my calf on tub. Definitely a hazard. The sub needs a mat or non-slip strips. The handle on the toilet didn't function as it should, we made do, and I notified the front desk on departure. The bathroom needed major updating. No sink plug either. Which is helpful if the traveler, like me, wants to rinse out a few things during a long stay. The housecleaners name was Crystal, at least the 1st clean. We were in room 441. The room wasn't up to the standard we expect at Marriott Courtyard. On the plus side, the property is beautiful! The front desk staff, and all other staff were wonderful and friendly. The food offered in the bistro for breakfast was fantastic. We had three breakfasts there. Super nice lady cooking. Check in and out super easy. Parking was great. We will be staying here again, just hope they up the game regarding housecleaning. These are meant to be helpful hints, not cause for dismissal of housecleaner.

The pull out bed, that my son slept on, was almost touching the floor when he was asleep. He 19, 190 pounds. Other than that, room was great, the other 2 beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. Place appeared clean.

Nice, clean hotel located right on the comal river. Beds were comfortable and the grounds were well kept and really pretty. This was my second stay here and look forward to staying here again

My room was not good. Toilet constantly ran. The sink was stopped up. The room had an odor in it. Not all the TV channels worked and the Wi-Fi never worked. I could connect, but there was no internet. For $259 a night, the quality was ridiculously low.

The grounds are beautiful, the staff was great, the food at the bistro was good my only complaint is the rooms could use some updating. My family had a wonderful stay, and the kids enjoyed the ability to swim in the river during the day and the pool at night. The property itself is reason enough to book in my opinion.

I went with my kids and their grandmother for a weekend. We had an amazing time. The hotel is great for kids and they have a good breakfast to get your morning started. When we got breakfast the line was long to order and it was early. Though by 9am it kind of died down, not a big deal the breakfast was good and they were very apologetic of the wait. Great place for families with small children. My kids are 4 and 1 and the little beach area they have going into the river was perfect for them. So was the pool. Very relaxing place. As others have said the walls are paper thin though, you can hear and feel the floors when people walk above you. My son was crying when I left the room, I could hear him clearly from the elevators about 100 ft away from our room and about 4 rooms in between my room and the elevator. If you are childless and not looking to be bothered by the sounds of families and thumping on your ceiling from the pitter patter of feet, this may not be the place for you. However if you have a family, it's a great place and you feel comfortable knowing your kids can cry and run around the room because everyone is doing the same thing :)

The property was beautiful, but the floor of the room and surrounding rooms was so noisy. The upstairs occupants had a child that played (as children do), and it sounded like a jackhammer on our ceiling. For the price we paid, the room badly needed repairs and updates (caulking, fixtures etc). The staff were great, but we paid for a breakfast coupon and it did not show on our room account. They would have charged me for it, had I not double-checked. The outdoor experience was great (fishing, kayaking etc), but the gym was tiny, more like a closet than other Courtyard Marriots we have visited. We would possibly stay here again for a steep discount

Expedia bait and switched the room we ordered. The staff is rude and incompetent. The air conditioner is not controllable.

The pool and Dock was nice. Peaceful. The room at night was very noisy from neighbors

This property is on the river and beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful. Rooms have balconies ovelooking the river. It was off the interstate and convenient to restaurants. Rooms were clean and spacious. Will definately stay there again when in the area.

Room was great area was great staff was great, could use some updates. Had old microwave that didn’t work right and old mini fridge that was left open and was dripping the first couple hours inside. Also stairwell had a funny gas smell.

Beautiful location, but nothing stellar about the hotel. I can't understand why even expensive hotels use those terrible pillows.

I had a really bad experience with the check in. They gave me a key and the key wasn’t working. I spoke with the receptionist for 2 times. I stayed more than 40 minutes to get into the room. I am really upset about it, I was tired after a long flight and I expected more kindness and empathy.

I booked through Expedia and everything seemed good. A month after my stay, I received a charge from Courtyard for the full price of the room on the card I left for incidentals. Since I had already paid for the trip on Expedia, I called and Courtyard and spoke with Cynthia Garcia who was horrible. She refused to listen and could not understand what happened even though ai explained multiple times. When I got distracted (no cussing or such), she hung up on me. Very poor customer service.

During our recent visit to attend a wedding, my family and I encountered several issues. Upon check-in, there was confusion, and due to a mix-up with the check-in dates, the rooms booked for my uncles were canceled. Furthermore, there was also confusion surrounding the complimentary breakfast option, which was advertised as free during the booking process but not provided by the hotel.

This was a nice property. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel! The girl at the front desk even gave us a complimentary room upgrade when we checked in. The room was SO nice and had a great view of the pool and the Guadalupe river. There were various yard games in the courtyard area and checkers to play in the lounge area. Hotel also has a nice bistro with cocktails and food. 10/10 recommend!

This property is kind of hard to get to. If you are not really looking for it you will miss the driveway. Food and drinks are expensive for what you get. A good place for a family vacation with river access and a great pool and deck

The view from our balcony is beautiful. Later we sat by the river, watching kids swimming, listening to birds singing, watching kayakers, and seeing the flow of the river. Totally peaceful.

My wife and I chose this location for a relaxing stay on the Guadalupe River during our Spring Break. The property is well-maintained, and the staff is friendly. The property has river access and an outdoor pool with a hot tub. It has a very relaxing atmosphere.

There was nothing to dislike about this Courtyard It was convenient to all i needed to do in New Braumfels. So many food options nearby and Starbucks served at the property. Also, near a Buc-ees. One very good point - staff friendly and helpful. It was nice to see smiling faces.

It’s slightly more expensive than the surrounding hotels but worth the stay. Beautiful scenery and friendly staff. Just wish they had breakfast included.

Excellent stay. Only disappointment was that we didn’t have a balcony with our Jr. Exec Suite. I must have missed something while booking. Grounds are phenomenal. River runs along back of shaded lawn with horseshoes, corn hole, volleyball, swimming pool, River swimming and dock. Swimming pool water was warm but a good size with shallow waters. Small outdoor hot tub also available. Lots of extra amenities including snack bar, library, and beautiful outdoor veranda, ice water in lobby. Restaurant available, but breakfast is not included. Housekeeping only offered every other day for multiple night stays except by special request. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Sofa back folds down to make a bed, but there is no mattress. Room for 2 small children or 1 adult. Great value for the amenities. Conveniently located, safe area, easy parking.

We stayed here after the willie Nelson concert in New Braunfels. It was very convenient. Nice bar and coffee area.

The hotel was nice but the restaurant employees were very unfriendly to us. Also are room was never cleaned until I begged the maid to straighten out our room. The front desk wouldn’t give us a river view because I used hotels.com and she said I don’t get the same privileges.

The bar area did not have full food choices as indicated on their menu.
