L’hôtel est situé à la sortie du village de Kastraki, quasiment sur la route des Météores. Il se targue de la plus belle vue et ce n’est pas usurpé . Même lorsque toutes les chambres avec vue sont occupées, ce qui était notre cas, possibilité de profiter de cette vue depuis la très belle terrasse. La chambre était spacieuse avec un grand lit et une literie de qualité. La déco est authentique et le tout très propre. Le grand parking règle la question du stationnement, parfois problématique dans les villages. Seuls petits bémols : l’insonorisation insuffisante (le bruit des clés de vos voisins quand il partent au petit dej) et la baignoire/ douche qui n’est pas au niveau de la prestation. Un gros plus pour le petit déjeuner, très varié, à base de produits locaux, voire du jardin, qu’on prend en terrasse, face à la vue. Le personnel est charmant et très pro et parle très bien anglais. Prix très raisonnables au vu du niveau de la prestation

This place is beautiful. It is further away from the other city, Kalabaki, but much quiet here. The patio and the view of meteora was beautiful. The room was large, clean, amenities were described, AC worked great, the receptionist and all the staff was so nice and friendly. The breakfast is what makes this place shine. I loved the fresh jams, pastries, eggs, sausage, spinach pie, variety of beverages and everything else.

The room was terrible. Beds are old and worn out. Sheets are rough as sand paper. AC barely works, (took all night to cool the room down by 1 degree). Electrical outlets are hanging from the walls ( looked hazardous to me) lights are so dim I could barely see anything (had to use our cell phone light to see while showering). Shower was awful, (too small to fit a normal size person into it). Drain on the floor just popped up and off. TV was the size of my laptop computer. (What a joke). Everything about the room was dark, old and outdated. Bottom line is the room was terrible . I can’t recommend these rooms to anyone….not even for 1 day.

Amazing hotel from top to bottom! We checked in late because we were held up in Athens and then arrived straight to our tour, but check in was a breeze. The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. We got a room with a view of Meteora, so in the morning I went straight to open the doors to the balcony. Absolutely amazing! To be on the balcony looking at that view is something spectacular. What makes it even better is that the hotel is high above the rest of the town, so the view is unobstructed! The breakfast the hotel offers is top notch, and the outdoor sitting area is wonderful. If I'm ever in the area again, this will be my place to stay.

Wir hatten eine Panoramazimmer, somit war der Ausblick auf Meteora fantastisch. Das Frühstück war ebenso toll und draußen mit Blick auf Meteore zu frühstücken ... was will man mehr? Das Personal ist so unglaublich freundlich. Die Zimmer sind groß, die Dusche gut und unser Balkon hat uns eben einen schönen Ausblick auf Meteor geliefert. Vielleicht ein wenig dunkel eingerichtet, aber alles passend und stimmig. Einziger negative Punkt ... augenblicklich wird ein neues Hotel direkt angrenzend gebaut. So wie verstanden habe baut die Familie ein neues Hotel, das im September 26 eröffnet werden soll, somit ist leider Baulärm vorprogrammiert.

We had a brief but memorable stay at Doupiani House. After the long drive from Athens, we loved the serenity of the hotel grounds and the gorgeous view of the Meteora cliffs from our balcony. The staff are kind and helpful and gave us great tips for catching the sunset (the best one of our Greece trip) and for a nice traditional meal afterwards in Kastraki. At breakfast the following morning, everything was fresh and tasty. Visiting the monasteries was easy as they are a very short drive away and the staff helped us plan our itinerary. Overall, we loved Doupiani!

Our first trip to Meteora, Doupiani house is a charming accomodation with amazing view of the Meteora. The town itself is quite small so everything is relatively close by. We had our own car so it was easy to get around and it would be if you’re without it too however you’ll have to walk a bit more than other hotels (maybe 10-15mins) which are in the middle of the town.

What a wonderful property. The staff were very warm and friendly. The breakfast was excellent...all prepared on site. The property was beautiful inside and out. I would recommend staying in Kastraki where this property is located. The village is very relaxed and the views of the spires are much better than those in larger Kalabaka. The monastaries are breathtaking. Just be prepared to navigate a lot of steps. I would definitely stay at Doupiani House Hotel again!
