Riverview on Mount Street

Very good location easy to walk into the city. The receptionist was great and very helpful. The room was large and comfortable all amenities were on site even a restaurant if you could not walk to the city Parking is dinky but we never missed out on a spot. Wait for the gate to open fully or you will regret it

Room was a little tired but clean. The bathroom was very very small with no bench space and very cramped toilet space. The light and the fan for the bathroom were one switch and the fan was very very noisy. The location of the property was great and within easy walking distance of the city and places to eat. Parking was tight.

Have stayed here on 3 occasions so can’t be bad but one thing to note is that it’s very near the freeway so is quite noisy at time. It’s an easy walk into the city and Kings Park. Th breakfast/dinner restaurant is excellent but strangely not open on a Saturday evening

Clean and comfortable room, walk to edge of CBD in around 10 minutes over footbridge. Restaurant appeared to be closed in the evening, so another walk to limited eateries on edge of CBD which wasn't ideal after a long day's sightseeing. Lots of rooms so odd it was closed.

Comfortable bed, lovely hot shower, lots of different lighting. Close to the heart of the city. On site restaurant. Lovely little courtyard area off the room. Pillows were a bit flat, bathroom was a little cramped in the toilet area. Parking was a bit cramped. Overall a great short stay hotel.

More parking would be helpful

The kitchen was fully equipped, I cooked my meals. There's a self-service laundry which I love the most. Peaceful night, I can sleep tight. Free parking is a plus factor. Friendly and helpful staffs, grateful to all of you.

Riverview is one of my favourite places to stay in Perth! Pros: - The rooms are huge, at least compared to the usual highrise towers in the CBD. - Kitchen facilities (always great to cook breakfast and enjoy on the balcony) - Staff are friendly, and have looked after me when I needed a late check-out when getting an evening flight. - Still fairly close to the CBD, either to walk or get public transport. Cons: - Parking is very limited, and on street parking isn't free. - I feel the bathroom could be laid out a little better, as I found it a bit cramped (being quite a tall person) - You might get a bit of noise from the nearby highway, depending on what side of the property your room faces.

Lovely location, close to city and the Botanical gardens. Great restaurant attached to the property. Laundry facilities are a bonus. Room was good and had all the conveniences. Bed was very comfortable. Only thing was it was a bit noisy early in the morning with what sounded like some work in the room above and doors slamming, etc. Other than that I had a very good stay for 10 days.

The cafe attached had wonderful menu with healthy options for all day dining. We had a kitchen in our room. The kitchen had all the basics. The rooms are older style but nice, neat and clean. House cleaning was good and very helpful

Staff were friendly and helpful. The on site parking is great. Near to city where all the amenities are. Unfortunately, the property is old and it is long due for overhaul. Room had stale smell and furnishings were old.

Check-in was super easy staff very friendly and the room was spotless. Will stay there again.

Not the cleanest, room had an odour from its age and all the people that have been through it. Surfaces felt sticky, tea/coffee items visibly dirty from last tea/coffee. In need of maintenance (air con had it guts hanging out, hole in carpet, rusting toilet had a leak)

Lovely place to drop in and refresh if you’re mostly out and about. The room does look like the pictures in the advertisement but just take note the room always looks much bigger in the pictures than it actually is. However, it suited our needs just fine. We were equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The bathroom is quite tiny. The hubby did have some difficulty fitting on the loo due to the small space. Everything was clean. No dust, no mould, no particular evidence of neglect. The shower head had been replaced recently. Bed was comfy to sleep in. Maintenance seems good. Being a longer stay the towels were changed every 2nd day, which was perfect. They even checked and gave us more toilet paper, which was a good quality brand, when we were running low, without us needing to ask for it. We didn’t use the kitchen for cooking so can’t comment on untensils etc. The little balcony is cute. Just a regular building view. The staff at both reception and the restaurant were always lovely to speak to and helpful. Nice and close to Kings Park. Of importance the price was right. We got what we paid for. I would be happy to stay here again.

Excellent location! 10-min walk to Kings Park & 1-min walk to the bridge that connects to the city center where most of the action is & close to public transportation. My room was very on the 1st floor right behind the front desk with a wonderful balcony facing the street. Being a dead end street, traffic was not heavy & I was never bothered by outside noise but I’m a heavy sleeper so light sleeper might feel differently. There’s a restaurant in the hotel lobby with delicious coffee. Didn’t try the food but the place was always packed so I guess it’s good. The staff of the hotel was very friendly & helpful. They gave me recommendations on what to see & the best way to get there by either bus or train. The room is actually a studio apartment with a stove, microwave & fridge so I was able to cook breakfast & reheat food when needed. The biggest con for this property is the wifi in the rooms which is utter crap & pretty much non-existent. Kept kicking me out constantly & sometimes not even showing as an option. If you must have wifi I suggest you get a sim card. Gladly I was on vacation so I could get by with my phone data but if this was a work trip I probably would have needed to change hotels. Also keep in mind front desk it’s only 7AM to 7PM some days 6PM. They have an after hours number but depending on what you need they charge you $80 if they have to go back after hours. All in all I would stay here again & recommend this hotel to friends/family.

This accom is revamped old accommodation which has worked out well, room has everything you require, shower is great. Unfortunately there is very little soundproofing so every sound and conversation is like it is in your own room. We had a couple of night owl people above who moved furniture and talked all night. PLEASE NOTE: Your pillows are totally substandard and need immediate attention.

Affordable, large room with cooking facilities. I didn’t try the cafe/restaurant, but it was always busy so I assume it must be good. Right next to a cute little bookstore. Had to walk a bit to get to public transport, but being cheaper than other hotels closer to the centre of the city this was to be expected. Definitely still doable, I walked to City West train station a few times. Only issue was the bathroom. The shower head wasn’t very good and there is no door on the shower or drain outside of the shower so the whole bathroom was like a swimming pool.

Second time we've stayed here - this time in room 208. Specious, double bed + a single, nicely refurbished en suite with great shower. Small kitchen area with adequte cooking facilities. Balcony overlooking the garden where Rainbow Lorikeets come to feed on the fig tree. Excellent food at the onsite restaurant. Easy walking distance to shops, other restaurants & Elizabeth Quay. Close to Red Cat bus route and Green Cat route. Others maybe close but not used. Spending 6 days Bunbury & Mandurah and then returning to Riverview for another 4 days before flying home.

The room was large with a small kitchen in it, with fridge, microwave and hob. The accommodation was quite close to the city centre with a foot bridge to the left (as you leave the property). There was adequate parking as well.

Not that it concerned me, but was surprised the room wasn't tidied each day. But my request to fix the TV was done promptly and the staff were very nice. Good location and good price for what my stay was about. Only complaint about the room, the toilet is situated in a most awkward position with only 30cm from the front of the pan to the wall, taller people struggle to fit as knees are against the wall.

Had my apartment attempted to be broken into. I was removed because of it. Rather than put me into another room. I was removed at 2am and put on the street.

I booked 10 nights at this property only to find that I could not travel to Australia from England due to what the authorities deemed to be a damaged passport. It took me a week to get my replacement passport before rebooking my flights. My agent contacted the hotel direct to explain the issue I had but the hotel were remarkably inconsiderate and refused my offer that they keep the money I had paid as a gesture of my good faith as I would be rebooking a week later. The hotel steadfastly refused to be flexible and kept my 10 days payment - no doubt re-letting my room so being paid twice! This cost me a small fortune and could have been handled with more sympathy and flexibility. I was angry but did rebook 3 nights the following week. A very expensive affair. I referenced my upset at reception on arrival for my 3 night stay but the receptionist totally ignored it as an issue. Even a room upgrade was declined. I paid for 13 nights and took just 3. I found several of the staff had poor English language skills. The receptionist was one. A member of bar staff when asked about the time breakfast was served between said breakfast was at 7am. I asked "between 7am and what time?". She replied breakfast was at 7am. I double checked several times with her that breakfast was only served at 7am and not later. She confirmed that that was the case. I was blowed if i would be coming down for breakfast whilst on holiday at 7am and we didn't do. Of course this lady was wrong. Poor.

Excellent place to stay for leisure/business and all that in between. The staff are friendly and supportive no matter what the circumstances. Definitely would not hesitate to stay there again in near future. Close to all amenities including a restaurant conveniently downstairs at a great breakfast bar and dinner. Special mentions to Christine, Eric and the reception staff would make my stay safe and well supported given difficult circumstances.

This property is in a great location. Easy 15 min walk across the pedestrian bridge to Perth CBD. The room is quite spacious and has a kitchenette with toaster fridge and kettle. Unfortunately there is construction ongoing at the property next door and the work started at 630 am every morning. We are on vacation and would prefer to have some quiet at least until 8 am. Also smoking is allowed on the balcony and our downstairs neighbours enjoyed doing that. So be aware that you may not be able to use the balcony. Overall we did enjoy our stay and would recommend this property and definitely the restaurant which is outstanding

Excellent accomodation option for travellers attending the Perth CBD on buiness or for a weekend. Close to Kings Park and the Perth Convention Centre

All was comfortable and clean. Silent room. Good airco and great shower. Breakfast is extra with lots of choices. Next to Kings Park. Top location.

Beautiful historical building with everyday modern touches. Food was amazing staff helpful. Clean comfortable well equipped rooms with kitchenettes.

Great spot just out of the city but easily walkable. No need to deal with the normal city issues and proximity to Kings Park is great

A short distant to King's Park with fantastic view of the city from the top. Walkable distant to the CBD on a foot bridge with access to different dining options and shopping.

Great value for money. Very clean and tidy, the management obviously care very much about the property. The cafe downstairs serves great coffee and a delicious breakfast. Wish we had known that they are trialling dinner service as I am sure that would have been great too

Great location walked to CBD and Kings park. Clean and friendly. Would have been nice to be able to utilize restaurant downstairs and laundry. Restaurant was closed at night durning our stay 3 nights. We choose it thinking we could eat after a long day sightseeing. Laundry was only open during reception hours which closed early on weekend. We were sightseeing during the day. It was hot and the bed was right under the ac unit, was tough to sleep with fan right on us. Shouldn’t be a problem with cooler temps

I highly recommend staying here! The room was terrific and the venue is really lovely. Easy walking to the city centre and places like Kings Park. Public transport is also within walking distance. I highly recommend the restaurant, every meal was delicious, and the attached bookshop is full of variety and interesting books. Will definitely be going back.

Renovated with a touch of boutique while the old structure is still recognisable. The location is superb. It is close to the freeway so noise can be an issue. The in house breakfast/brunch cafe is excellent. I highly recommend this property.

I stayed here as a colleague recommended it but it was extremely disappointing. I was there for 3 nights and on day 2 I ate downstairs in the cafe and got food poisoning which basically kept me in bed for the remainder of my trip. My company put a call into the hotel nearly a week ago and they still haven't responded. Add to that the shower in the rooms has had the water pressure wound back so much that you have to run around in the shower to get wet I never actually felt properly clean all week, this is the most important thing when staying anywhere and it is terrible. I will be very interested to see if they care enough to actually respond.

This is a very comfortable boutique hotel. The restaurant is average, with a poor selection and some staff who don't listen very well, but popular nonetheless. I'd definitely go back if the need were to arise, but I'd eat elsewhere..
