Stayed 2 nights

Disappointing. We have stayed and eat at the Arrow Mill many times over the past few years but this stay was not great. They gave us a table for 8 when we had booked for 6 so conversation was difficult, the service was slow and the food average. At breakfast the waitress joked about a car stranded in the flooded car park, which happened to be ours. They had closed the main entrance the evening before due to flooding and made no attempt to warn drivers that their car may be at risk. The waitress offered to drive our car out of the flood until she realised it was too deep, so I put a bin bag on each leg and waded through to get in the car. Fortunately it started and spurted a lot of water out of the exhaust. We had provided the registration number on check in so find it difficult to understand why they couldn't find us in the restaurant and get us to move the car. Apparently the hotel has quite a history of flooding so why they don't take measures to Corden off effected areas of the car park to protect customer cars is ridiculous. The next night my wife ordered from the set menu but didn't choose a sweet and they charged for the full menu price. The speed of the service so was slow had she ordered a sweet we would probably have got it for breakfast. When we raised this with the waitress it took 15 minutes and several conversations for the manager to reduce the bill by £8.00. We spoke to the manager on the way out and his attitude was very much if you don't like it don't bother
